It was clear from the first look around my recently redecorated let that Scott knows the ins and outs. I found Scott to be most affable and caring, highly experienced, local and with him and all other aspects considered, Ocean's managed service was too good to turn up. I didn't expect to go with a managed service again after putting up with a weak performance from another agent just over the road. Well, Scott got to the property for 8am so the photos would have the morning sun! So far I've found every other member of the Downend Ocean branch to be responsive and professional with their manner and knowledge. I feel much better having their backing than trying to navigate all these requirements and liabilities as a private landlord. From my experience so far, Ocean is Bristol's number one.

She responded to various questions promptly and demonstrated an initial enthusiasm that went on to feed through to the rest of the sale. I cannot recommend Ocean enough! Having previously dealt with Taylor’s/Countrywide Group I was very sceptical about using the estate agents services (solicitors) but we definitely made the right choice! In general, I’ve been pretty happy with Ocean. Their move managers regularly checked in to make sure I was up to date. The agent asked the seller the questions I raised and forwarded me on the response in reasonable time, and they were helpful in giving me the time to view the property a couple of times, as well as organise to have access for room measurements etc after the offer was accepted. When it came to completion, there was a bit of hassle - I had a few calls from them chasing to complete by a particular date “because their client wants to complete by this date”...but it turned out the client hadn’t signed everything required so wasn’t in a position to complete anyway. There was also a mystery other offer...”from one of the neighbours”. Little did the agent know, but I’d spoken to some of the neighbours prior to finding this out and none of them seemed interested in the property, so it was difficult to take this seriously, and might explain why I managed to get the property for more than 3% less than the supposed other bid.. Very glad I didn’t bump up my offer by any more. So, a few classic estate agent issues, but in general, no mega issues and i’ve been pretty happy with the service and would consider selling through them, or buying through them again in the future.

It was a shock to find out that although they undercut Ocean, they put no effort into renting it and I had 2 viewings in 5 weeks.
