Having had a previous bad experience with a tenant and not feeling fully supported by our previous agent, we were keen to ensure that we worked with an agent who would consider needs as landlords. I initially spoke to Cameron at Peter Alan lettings and he was a breath of fresh air and positivity, providing great information and carefully taking through our options. We decided to let through Peter Alan and helped by Cameron and Luke, they guided us through the process and we obtained excellent tenants. We are more than happy with the service provided. Communication was excellent and responses by Cameron and Luke always prompt. It was a smooth process and I would highly recommend them as a letting agent. Especially if you are a ‘nervous landlord’.

Great experience with Peter Alan, friendly and professional staff. A big thank you to Cameron who orchestrated our move. One small issue, however, is that the phones are very rarely answered. They are very good at calling back a few days later, but its quite frustrating when your phone call is never recieved!

The canton branch were absolutely fantastic - I wouldn't use any other agent again! Sofie was amazing in helping to find the perfect property. Sofie was 100% invested in matching my specific requirements and was super helpful throughout the sale and even post sale! Kirsten was also very impressive and was able to find a highly credible tenant very fast! Certain stages of the sale were quite difficult but the PA team were there to support and make things right. Richard Bennett, Charlie and team were a pleasure to deal with. They were set the not-so-easy task of pushing everything through in 5 weeks or so to beat the stamp duty holiday and smashed the deadline out of the water with total professionalism and customer service along the way. We had an excellent experience with Peter Alan. Our agent Jack was so helpful in trying to find us a place, and in helping us with our referencing process when we were worried about our income. We have a cat and this was the most accomodating agent/agency we've come across in the Cardiff area. In the end we did end up renting another flat that our friends told us about because it had a garden for our furbaby, but Jack was professional, kind and understanding of our situation - next time we look to rent I will go to Peter Alan first, cannot recommend them enough based on our experience with them 🙂

Peter Alan and especially Joel has been 100% pleasure to deal with. Joel was able to negotiate everything I needed/wanted. His responses were always quick and to the point. Whole tenancy application took about a week and there has been no problems whatsoever. Process was smooth and well documented. I recently moved back to the UK on the Saturday and was looking for a fully furnished apartment. I saw an apartment I liked on Peter Alan website, I called and asked if I could view the apartment...this was mid- afternoon and Fern from Peter Alan came out virtually straight away. I liked the apartment and said I would take as I needed a place to live as it was already vacant and fully furnished. I would just like to say how stress free it was moving into my apartment. It was all done on line with simple forms to fill in. The staff were so helpful and accommodating throughout Therefore, regarding timescales I viewed the apartment on the Monday evening and was in the next evening... seamless and stress free. I have rented a flat in Roath through Peter Alan, and have been very happy with the agency so far. Agency fees for renting aren't cheap, although not worse than some other agents I spoke to. Paige was excellent throughout - she communicated clearly and was friendly and very helpful, helping to organize furniture and fixing a minor maintenance issue on moving in. I'd certainly recommend.

Richie Bennett Peter Alan Canton We have recently worked with Richard Bennett and he was a consummate professional in all our dealings with him. Myself and Richie hit if off straight away, probably because we worked out we were both Man Utd fans. Joking aside, he was very professional and efficient from the outset. He knew we needed to move quickly so we took some pictures of the house including a video to be added to the brochure. Within a few days he had a number of viewings lined up, but due to Covid were unable to proceed with these as at the time, as viewings were only permitted on empty properties. Amazingly, we received an offer without the buyer physically entering the property. Throughout this time, Richie was in regular communication, even speaking with us on his day off. He even offered to liaise with the new build team where we planned to buy in order to keep them updated with developments. Throughout all of this Richie has been brilliant, calm, reassuring and knew the procedures inside out, despite the added risk of Covid when things were changing weekly. He knew the area well and was always honest and straight down the line with us. Unfortunately, our house purchase fell through the day before exchange due to issues at the buyer’s end. Richie was ready to begin all over again immediately, but we made the decision not to continue and take the house off the market for now. He was empathetic and understanding when we communicated this to him. I feel that Richie and his team at Peter Alan could not have worked any harder for us and provided us with a fantastic service. Financial Adviser Jodie was great in all aspects. Being first time buyers, she took her time to explain everything in detail and was very professional and connected with us on a personal level, which made our experience worry free. I ow a big thank you to Lisa Atwell for taking good care of me threw all the years I have been with Peter Alan. So "THANK YOU VERY MUCH". The only reason I have given 4 stars is because I didnt choose to leave. I was asked to leave my property that I had lived at for roughly 9 years. The landlord isued us with a section 21 from no fault of my own. I would say it was because he wanted to make more money. But all in all I am in a much better higher quality property now then before & I am really happy I moved. Firstly, I can confirm that this is an honest and impartial review and should any of those named feel flattered then they needn’t - it is simply the truth. I called Peter Alan on Friday because we really liked the look of a property that happened to have an opening the following day. Liam answered the phone and we hit it off from the start. He took my details to register us and that was that. He asked how long we had been looking, so I gave him an honest answer: “36 hours”. He gave us a slot at 11:15am remarking that we could view the property in private rather than have the awkwardness of having other perspective buyers present - which was very thoughtful of him. I remarked that I didn’t really care, I don’t do awkward having been blessed with little in the way of shame. We arrived at the viewing promptly with none of the usual trepidation that is customary when entering the domain of the ‘salesperson’, having built an immediate rapport with him the day before - we were actually looking forward to meeting with him. We were looking at the house as our next potential move, but being landlords ourselves, we normally meet estate agents with one intention in mind: get in and out, with or without the property but minus a mobile phone contract, a brand new car, a re-mortgage of the family home or the purchase of the salesperson’s deceased grandmother. We were immediately greeted by Liam, a friendly and amiable young man who was just as fabulous as he was on the phone, and who was to be our eye candy for the viewing. Liam, he with a smile that could melt the arctic and hair that even someone from Essex would be in awe of, showed us around and we spoke a little about the house, but he actually wanted to know about us, which was unexpected and put us at ease. All in all, it was a rather entertaining experience and unfortunately the house needed more work than we anticipated. As we were viewing the property, a pair of poindexters came early for their viewing slot, they sort of slumped from room to room muttering like trolls and generally trying to dampen a rather jovial mood. Eye rolls at the ready. Did they succeed...? No they did not. I had a chuckle at their expense but Liam remained professional and un-phased. Then it came down to business. “So, what do you think?” Liam asked. “Well...” I started. “It’s a beautiful house but it’s not for us.” “It’s ok, it’s your first viewing,” he replied. “Liam... it’s not you, it’s me...” for that moment all other beings seemed not to exist in the world and it was just us. It might have even been deemed a very tender moment in some parts of Illinois or Seattle. “It’s okay,” he responded as any gentleman should, but I could see that he was hurt. I offered him the bunch of flowers that the home owner had clearly popped in the vase to ‘brighten the place up’ and that seemed to do the trick. The funny thing is, it actually played out like this. So we had bantz. That afternoon he sent an email saying that he enjoyed meeting with us (and the feeling was more than mutual). I don’t know if he does this with all his perspective clients but it was a nice touch. The truth is we have not viewed another property since and not yet registered with any other agencies... time is limited at the moment and we trust that now Liam has our requirements he will contact us with quality rather than quantity. I am known for not suffering fools gladly and Liam was outstanding. Not really a salesperson at all, just a lovely guy who will simply introduce you to the house of your dreams... and for us this will come in time. And if you don’t find it first off, then he certainly makes the experience enjoyable until then. If you truly want a personable, friendly, no pressure approach then go to Liam. I would definitely recommend him to those who trust my judgement. Now for the small print: time wasters and carpet treaders need not apply. Finance subject to status.
