I can always find what I want and some nice interesting items the place is really good for new wood, gates , gardening tools and all sorts of mowers ride on to push, xbox games some weeks you find horde of machines and last week there must have been 300 bikes in did have my eye on a Honda 90 I missed it is was in the bidding shed you have to keep eye on the ball in have never looked at the live stock part had no reason to I always fancy having a goat in front garden lol for pet owners lots of cages of all sizes and lots of pine furniture most needing work but not all I not been in big furniture shed as yet some pics my help you from Mike Hamilton

I like going to this auction get some good items there at a fair price if someone don't bid too high.had some good timber over the last year.

The Saturday Market is always a good place to go and walk around, you really never know what you're going to find. The staff are always fantastic and helpful. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the state of the ladies toilet. There is never ever any toilet roll and it alwats looks like it's not been cleaned. A new new toilet seat wouldn't go amiss either. Please think about getting a new toilet roll dispenser that holds more!!

The auction is getting busier with more lots turning up week after week. The management are doing a great job trying to keep everyone socially distanced. A thankless task! We in the cafe are open for takeaway for the present. Come and see us for a cup of tea and a bacon sarnie.

I hope you like junk as much as I do. These are junk auctions, dead stock auctions and penny auctions. Expect to find a lot of stuff that looks like it came from a skip and needs to be returned to a skip. Some stuff here can be worth something to the right person. Be wary of regulars who like to bid insane amounts to keep newbies out. Like with any auction keep a good head on your shoulders and think before you bid. Furniture auctions are the best of the bunch, but on busy days are a complete bust with how much some people want to buy things for. Staff are friendly and helpful if you are new to the game. Car park is a nightmare. Don't bring a nice car, it will probably end up with a dent of some kind in it from a man who hasn't washed in 4 years driving a sketchy P reg Transit.

COVID UPDATE...As of June 20th Stanfords resumed part of it's Saturday auction the bikes and yard sales. Strict regulations for selling and buiding apply so visit their website first......Well known auctioneers of livestock during the week, that converts to a public auction on a Saturday. Auctions are split between small livestock including chickens, quail, pigeons, rabbits, ferrets, ducks and gees. They also sell secondhand cages and feed. Gardening including plants trees and shrubs. The bike sale normally has about fifty bikes of all ages. The yard sale includes timber, machinery, mowers, chainsaws and general house clearance items. Cars and vans are for sale but I am not sure how regularly. Once a month that hold a general antiques sale in the main shed. Parking is available in the car showroom car park next door, follow the sign's. Also on site is a vegetable stall and mobile butchers. Top tips, you can enter lots for auction on the morning of the sale for animals or before for other items if you are entering animals make sure they gave room and water. You can bid with cash but you have to register to put it on the book and pay at the end. Nice staff but don't be pushed around during the bidding as it can be a crush.
