Not a reflection on Scoffield Stone but our sale and purchase was not an easy ride, made more difficult by our buyer. On reflection I feel the Scottish system is more “fit for purpose” by honouring an initial bid/missive and being held accountable for this, rather than hoping a bid under the English system is a gentleman’s offer and binding which in our case, was sadly not. Scoffield Stone did support us along the way in order to iron our several issues and we would use them again bearing in mind the knowledge we have now accumulated along our journey.
