Littlejohns looked after my apartment for 10 years whilst working abroad, and did a great job of taking care of both the tenants and the property. Their maintenance department is responsive, and they have overall been a pleasure to work with. As a tenant renting through Littlejohns for just under 2 years, it is with pleasure that I recommend this company to other tenants. As with most Scottish agents, the application process is pretty rigorous. I didn't exactly satisfy all requirements when signing up to rent, but after consideration and alternative solutions, I was soon given the keys to my new home. Right from the start of my tenency the agency has been very responsive to requests or maintenance requests with issues promptly dealt with within days not weeks. From the initial viewing, property inspections, as well as maintenance visits, Littlejohns employees and contractors have always had a friendly disposition. Appreciation goes to the entire team. A special shout out to Mark for dealing with my latest request.

I would absolutely recommend Littlejohns as a letting agent to rent from. After having a bad experience with my previous agents it was wonderful to deal with company who really seem to care about their tenants. The service was very friendly throughout my whole tenancy through to the move out process and any issues that arose were sorted out promptly. My property manager Raine in particular was so lovely, very helpful and I felt that she completely had my back as a tenant. I was very sorry to end my tenancy with Littlejohns and if the opportunity came to rent with them again I would have no hesitation in doing so.

I’ve been with Littlejohns for nearly 2 years and our property manager Raine has been excellent throughout that time. She is always quick to respond - even during a pandemic! And we’ve always had the appropriate contractors out when it’s been safe to do so. We’ve always found it easy to contact littlejohns because we have a dedicated property manager (which I haven’t found with previous lettings agents) and I’d recommend them - and our property manager - to anyone looking to rent in Edinburgh!

Little Johns were a great leasing agency for my two flatmates and I for our first place in Edinburgh. Maggie and her coworkers were really communicative and helpful throughout the lease and even helped with a few things after we’d moved out!

I've had an excellent experience as a tenant with Littlejohn's. From the beginning the office staff were friendly and helpful, and the move in was handled smoothly. My property manager Raine was keen to make sure I had settled in well and was quick to respond to any communication. There were a few minor repairs needed which she handled very quickly, and she was especially helpful during the move out process. Littlejohn's are a great letting agent to consider if you have pets, as they have always been fine with my wee cat. All in all I'd highly recommend renting with them.

I lived in a flat in Polwarth for five years and always found Littlejohns to be a great letting agency. Certainly the best of the three I've used in Edinburgh! Any repairs and queries were dealt with quickly and efficiently and brand new items (washing machine, fridge freezer etc.) were provided without question soon after I moved in when I reported the old ones faulty. One of the best letting agents we've ever used. Any time we've had a problem little johns maintenance team have been quick to get it sorted. Mary, and Maggie were both excellent during the initial application process, and resolving issues when we moved in. As a bonus during the move out inspection they were equally as friendly, and didn't deduct money from our deposit for trumped up cleaning fees (which is usually the case from a majority of rental agents). Overall very happy with their service and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I am currently renting with them, and my experience is really positive: the application process is straightforward and they are willing to help for any issue as long you AND the landlord are happy to go ahead. The best, though, is the maintenance department: they are absolutely awesome and very quick to help with anything might need some TLC: I remember once when the washing machine broke and they managed to send someone to fix it in less than 24hrs. When there were things I could do by myself they were happy to give advice on the right way to do it. Stuff naturally deteriorates and breaks over time, so having a great maintenance department ready to support is the best you can wish from a letting agency. Really recommended.

Great letting agent. Everything was dealt with swiftly and full deposit arrived not even a week after we had vacated the property. Mary Winchester was a great contact in the early days, with it being my first flat on my own I wasn't sure of what to do and when and she helped guide through that. Occasionally needed a second call to remind of any issues (when they rarely happened) but if a second call was required there was always an apology then it was fixed quickly after that. Have enjoyed our stay the past two years, and would recommend.

I've never been to the UK before now and my country of birth, British Virgin Islands, is very very different to that of UK. Great service provided from my time moving in to the flat to moving out. The information provided to assist with the move in was helpful and everything went smoothly. Same with moving out, a useful guide to how to get deposit returned quickly and in full, and the inspection was quick and fair. The staff were always pleasant and easy to deal with. With regards to maintenance, while disappointing they do not have availability at weekends or evenings, the service I received was always of top quality and any reported issues were addressed immediately (someone coming round to the house within half a day), and the problems were always fixed. They provided a good communication service when I had requests to be asked to the landlord.

An outstanding service so far! Pamela dealt with my contract’s paperwork flexibly and efficiently. As regards maintenance, we had a problem with our kitchen lights (were blinking constantly) and Raine processed our request immediately and problem was solved in less than 24 hours. Nevertheless, my mattress was needed to be replaced. Raine and Pamela ordered a brand new mattress, as a replacement (in contrary with other agencies that they often supply a used one in a fair condition). Summing up, in my half year experience with Little Johns I have received (thanks to Pamela & Raine) professionalism and empathy for my needs as a tenant. Strongly recommended! George
