Smart Property saved me when I couldn't find a 6-month short term rental in Edinburgh. Not only did they find a great apartment but an equally great landlord. I dealt with Kat Usher briefly but mostly had Gregor as my problem solver and support. Gregor is great. He responded promptly, took care of issues immediately (they were small things because Smart really maintains the properties), and sweetly laughed at my odd American humor. So much better than a US rental agent.

They are very communicative, give plenty of notice for inspections, they are respectful when carrying them out and overall they are just a team of very nice people. I’ve been in quite a few accommodations over the years and have went through periods of frustration when it takes so long to get things done or you can’t get a hold of someone etc. I don’t have these issues at all with smart. Once my 12 months contract was up and I was onto monthly rolling they asked if I wanted the security of another 12 month with I happily agreed as I was very happy within the property. Only took 2 days for my full deposit being realised back to myself and again the whole communication was brilliant with email updates regularly on what was happening since the walk through to money being released.
