We started using Cairn's services in 2018 and have always found our main point of contact, Heather, to go above and beyond the expected level of service. Certainly beyond a level of engagement compared to other property rental service providers we use. We do not believe there is a better provider of letting services, particularly in managing HMO properties in Glasgow. Cairn's professionalism ensures that letting requirements and legal obligations are never compromised - and interests are protected whether a landlord or tenant. And from dealing with Glasgow City Council and HMO renewals, introducing off-market opportunities, assisting with renovations, and day-to-day management, our interaction and experience with the entire Cairn team have been faultless. Hannah from Cairn Letting was an excellent support for me in finding accommodation in Glasgow. She answered my questions and concerns in no time and took my suggestions seriously and clarified them with the landlords. From a landlord's perspective, Cairns have really shaken up my perceptions about letting agencies. I've had really negative experiences with letting agencies in the past and swore I would never deal with them again. However, circumstances change and following an excellent recommendation from one of their contractors, I have been letting with Cairns for 18 months and have found them to be really helpful. Any concerns have been dealt with swiftly. They have ensured that the property has been fully compliant with legislation so that the tenant is safe. I was very impressed that they kept me updated on tenants' checks and gave me frank and honest advice, when required. I am also extremely happy with the tenant. She has kept the property immaculate. I've been really happy with the great service I have received from Cairns.

I recently used Cairn for selling my property and the service I received was fantastic. Susan was my main point of contact and kept in regular touch with me throughout the full process. She was also very helpful and supportive when I had a number of issues with the solicitor I was using for the sale. I was extremely impressed with the photos and virtual tour that were taken for marketing the property, they were highly professional and attracted 30+ viewers. I have had a positive experience with Cairn since the very start, from submitting a note of interest about a property, then applying online, to discussing my application with property manager Safa Khan, and through my settling in process. ** update **: since another agent (thank you!) took over and after i've posted this, they have became more responsive and i am enjoying a better quality of service (as a tenant). I don't have any issues from 2021 onwards. Before that I have them two stars review reflect the fact that took them **over a year** to actually bring the proper person for a long standing flat issue. The old two stars review, definitely does not reflect their **current** quality, and I was asked to remove it. Instead i am choosing to keep this as a reminder to other people that you don't have to suffer privately to enjoy a quality of service. ** old review ** (2 stars, poor value, not responsive) I am living in a property managed by Cairn. My experience with them? Abysmal. If its broken lamp, they'll fix it right away. If it's something more complicated? Prepare to be ghosted. Please avoid them as your letting agents at least for Glasgow if you're renting.

I contacted Cairn as I had tenant’s not paying rent or responding. Gemma was introduced to me she is extremely well Knowledgeable about evictions (which was the path we went down) she follows a very correct procedure and completed everything successfully. She kept me up to date every step of the way. Words can’t quite explain how pleasant my experience has been working with Gemma along with the reasonable fee and fast response's she was able to almost make a stressful situation non-existent!.She further gave invaluable advice on sourcing new tenants so these situations do not arise again. if you have trouble with tenants or even if everything is smooth they have a very good management setup not skipping a beat. I rent my property through them and have been guided every step of the way, from preparing to let, to various safety procedures and on the day my tenants moved in, I even received an email to confirm this and let me know they were happy. I am very pleased with the service that cairns provided. The agency was recommended by a very trustworthy person. I called the office and arrange for someone to come to see the house. I was very pleased when I was informed that an agent could come and meet me at my desire time, as I usually finish work late. A very professional and friendly lady came and met me in my property, her name is Gemma Watts. She made me feel very secured and she definitely knew what she was talking about and seemed that she had lots of experience. She explained in detail of all the legal things and what the best option. However, I did want to see on the market, what kind of prices other agencies provide. I had few couple agencies and I decided to go with Cairns, The reason fr this decision was because of Gemma attitudes, she explained so well everything even though I was over asking questions because this was the first time I was renting my property and I didn't know how things work. After passing my property to the Agency, I had plenty emails of notifying me with the reviews of the house. Gemma went on her Honeymoon so another lady started to deal with my case, Sally Turnbull. I am extremely happy with her service and her patient. She has answering my emails very fast and made me feel important customer. She is very professional and friendly too. I would like to say thanks to Heather for her help as well. After 1 month and a half my property was rented out. The whole procedure run very smooth and I couldn't be any happier. I have been using Cairn Estate and Lettings Agency ("Cairn") for the past six years and I find them very professional. I am not aware of any other letting agents in the West End of Glasgow that manage HMO lets with Cairn's extensive knowledge of the current legal requirements to protect tenants and landlords alike. They maintain a very good working relationship with Glasgow Greater Council which enables them to keep on top of both HMO and general safety & building regulations. Managing HMOs or "student lets" is not an easy task but all things considered, Cairn are "Best in Class" as far as I'm concerned.
