Chris was great from start to finish. Made such a difference to have someone on hand 24/7 to help with any aspect of the process. Chris is very knowledgeable of the market and his experience was very helpful in deciding how to proceed at each stage. Compared to dealing with a multi-staff company operating on office hours etc., our whole experience was made so much smoother and more pleasant by having Chris available to phone, Whatsapp, email etc any time of the day or night, and by him being a genuine, decent person, making it easy for us to trust his judgement on what was best for us. After experiencing an extremely difficult 8 month period of procrastination with one of the large High Street estate agents, A friend recommended Chris Maitland, He is not the cheapest out there however he is possibly one of the best in Scotland and this proved to be a very wise move. After 8 months of constant excuses and derision of our property in an attempt for us to sell below market value by the high street estate agent, we decided enough was enough and called upon Chris for assistance and assist and work his socks off he did. What we experienced with Chris particularly in the beginning was enthusiasm, fresh idea's, no false promises. He took care of all the viewings and made proactive steps to keep us informed and also have as many potential buyers see the property as possible. Within a relatively short period, offers were made and one was accepted, Just as it should have been 8 months previously. If you have a property to sell, sometimes the personal caring touch is far better than the high street brands who as it happens don't sell half the properties on their books. We would highly recommend Chris Maitland Estate agency because he knows exactly what he is doing and will not mess you about. we are in no doubt of who we will be contacting in future, should we decide to move again.

It was a pleasure working with Chris from the initial conversation through to settlement. In the last 4 years I’ve sold 3 properties and this was by far the greatest experience. Chris kept us fully informed at all times, was proactive at dealing with the surveyor and queries we had, and basically dealt with everything from survey, to pictures to viewings. He continued to keep involved and give progress right up to the sale completion including meeting the new buyer to hand over keys. I have never received service like this - absolutely outstanding. Chris will say that he’s more expensive than some but I honestly don’t think that. His fees were comparable to what I’ve paid previously and his level of service was way beyond what I was expecting. So if you are thinking of selling your property I’d get in touch with Chris to snap him up before he’s inundated with properties to sell.

I was very nervous putting my flat on the market:: I had bought just before Sterling plummeted in 2008 and here I was selling with COVID about to come out of 1st lockdown in July 2020- so book-ended by catastrophe and possible ruin; how totally crazy was this? It was suggested that Chris should be contacted and his superb calmness, empathy and professionalism was apparent and in abundance. Chris made his professional appraisal and within days had contacted a decorator whose quote was much less than the one I had got and who did a good job sprucing up the flat. I could go on at length but I will just say that Chris worked hard and with positive direction to make this the smoothest presentation possible; he powered through all the contacts, contracts and legalities and was showing seriously potential clients and within a week had made a deal that everyone was happy with. I have bought a fair bit of property for my own use over the years but have never had this thoughtful dedication and professionalism to finding the best and most timely resolution. Hereon in and wherever I may look to move in the future it will be to Chris Maitland and his company Keller Williams UK that I turn to with confidence and the highest of expectations, knowing they are well-founded.

I got very clear and straightforward advice from the beginning and my flat sold above Home Report within 2 weeks. So far, so good. Then an unexpected problem hit that could have caused the sale to fall through and that’s when Chris really stepped up to the mark. He was absolutely relentless in finding a solution to that problem and getting the sale completed and was 100% supportive of me throughout that stressful time. I don’t believe I would have received anywhere close to that level of service from any other estate agent. There may be cheaper companies out there but, for the first time in my life, I ended a house sale feeling the estate agent was underpaid for the amount of work they did and the value they brought to the table rather than overpaid. In an unpredictable world, it’s not just a good idea to have an independent estate agent in your corner, it’s absolutely essential! Don’t waste your own time and money phoning anyone else.
