The fees were exceptionally competitive and paying up front could be seen as a negative but didn’t curb the enthusiasm of MQ Estate Agents in completing the sale way above my expectations. Mary was fantastic and marketed my property to a high standards with her intricately detailed photos and property description. Barry made me feel more than just client, took time to talk and listen. I had more false starts than a sprint race in 2020 🙃 However, Mary & Megan made the experience from top to bottom excellent! The pictures and video of my home were the highlight of the package! Before MQ Estate Agency represented the property we were selling we made a seriously catastrophic error. Due to the market being very buoyant we thought that going with an online estate agent would be a good bet as in our head the property would sell itself. How wrong could we have been - it turned out to be an absolute disaster (I won't go into details as I would rather use my energy to tell you how utterly brilliant MQ Estate Agency are!)
Barry had come round to our flat when we had initially been considering which estate agent we would go with and we were incredibly impressed with everything he did and said. He was incredibly professional, personable and clearly knows what he is talking about. It was clear that he cares greatly about his clients. When we were with the terrible online estate agency I found myself repeatedly saying to my partner "we should have listened to Barry!".
When we decided to cut ties with our original choice there was absolutely no debate about who we wanted to represent us and we were straight on the phone to MQ! Luckily (despite us not picking them in the first place) they welcomed us with open arms.
We were incredibly nervous about the whole situation and to be honest I had considered pulling the plug on selling our flat due to the previous estate agents antics however, within 2 minutes of speaking to the absolute superstar that is Holly I was completely reassured.
MQ lived up to their name (Move Quick)- by the following week we had had our photographs taken (Mary was absolutely superb - highly professional, with a very keen eye for detail), our description written, (Mary also did this and we were absolutely delighted with it) and our ad live online - a huge thank you to her.
We then began to get viewings which Holly managed for us - I cannot actually put into words how highly we rate Holly. She is not only brilliant to work with as she has a sparkling personality and a great sense of humor but she is also highly organised, efficient and professional - she is exactly who you would want to have communicating with prospective buyers. She is honest and direct and this is exactly what we needed. And she was also right - our flat did sell - super quickly!
Due to being a bit paranoid about the whole situation due to our initial mistake in our choice of agent I don't think I was the easiest customer but Holly completely adapted to this to the point that I never felt I had to chase her for updates etc as she was always on the phone to me first. Honestly - if I could give more than 5 stars I would - and I already miss our daily briefings!
We could not be more delighted with MQ. Whilst Barry, Holly and Mary were our main points of contact I have to say that everyone in the office that we have spoken to when we have called in are professional, friendly and do what they say they are going to do (which for us is so important).
They are literally the dream team and I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you as they have made what was an unbearable situation into an exciting and straightforward one. In addition, I would have to say that the pricing is incredibly reasonable - what more could you want?
Don't make the same mistake we did - Listen to Barry (and Holly for that matter!) they are truly heroes and in our view - the best in the business.
(P.S a few years ago I rented a property from the letting division of MQ and the team - Richard and John were also absolutely outstanding - easily the best letting agents that I have ever dealt with so I would recommend this business on both fronts!)

This was by far the best decision we could have made when selling our property. The service we have received from every member that we've been in contact with has been second to none. I especially liked the personal approach taken by them in coming out to us personally to tell us more about them, show us some of the other properties in their portfolio and take the time to explain the options we have available when selling a property. S. S.As a prospective purchaser I was very surprised and pleased by the amount of cheerful help I was given by the staff at MQ estate agency. Without prompting they were always on top of the situation, knew who we were, what stage we were at, and always ready to offer help and advice.
Having heard different opinions from various professionals about what was happening in the housing market in different parts of Glasgow at the moment (offer the market value / offer 10-15% more than the market value / offer 20% more than the asking price etc) it was a great relief to have clear advice about what was happening with the particular property we were interested in. After all, every house seller and buyer is different and that’s why knowing details about your clients and caring about the outcome is so important. I think this personal involvement with their service is what makes this agency noticeably different from the others. They couldn’t do such a good job if they didn’t enjoy it!

Mary photographed my flat and the photos were fab, they really showed it in the best light. The floor plan was nicely detailed and both really highlighted the tenement features. She chatted through the home report with me and even suggested we get it reviewed following the work we had done to prep it for sale which was great advice as we got an uplift in the valuation. Again, Mary was very quick to reply to queries we had.
Holly was then so quick at getting us viewers and arranging the appointments and Barry did the viewings, taking all the pressure of me. We had a fab number of viewing, and were kept up to date on all feedback.
From going on the market to closing date was less than 2 weeks and we had multiple offers at the closing date, all above the home valuation.

And then it got even better when we spoke with Holly who is just the best estate agent I’ve ever met, she just goes totally above and beyond and makes selling such an exciting prospect. Unfortunately, however, despite us fighting to use MQ, Avant homes told us we had to use a big corporate agent who they regularly do business with. The experience with this big agent couldn’t have been anymore stressful and disappointing and we genuinely feel we were an inconvenience and they wanted us to accept the first offer so they could move onto their next listing. We gave Holly a call because we wanted to pull our property from the other agent and go with MQ instead, but she was completely honest and said the damage had been done, the offer on the table was still good, and that she didn’t feel it was right to take our money because she couldn’t 100% guarantee we would get more money. S.Wow, so this is my first ever experience of selling a house but I must say I had 2 estate agents come to view the place, the first wondered around the house for about 2 minutes then left and seemed to be un contactable, and then Barry from MQ Estate Agency showed up! She also goes out of her way to follow up leads and get your place sold in about 3 seconds as well as being a font of knowledge and very forthcoming on anything you may need to know.
