Paul from Borthwicks helped me to find my perfect home to rent in Chiswick in 2017. The whole team, and Paul in particular have been a pleasure to work with ever since! They are always friendly and willing to help. They give lots of notice for any works or visitors. I moved out of my property this month, and again the process was smooth and painless. I would highly recommend Borthwicks, they are genuinely very different from other estate agents in their approach and personal interactions.

I'm a pretty demanding tenant in normal times, but even more so in pandemic times. I dealt with Paul from the beginning when he showed me the unit and subsequently helped me to secure a monthly rent that was more affordable. Paul and his colleagues, particularly Mike, always responded promptly to my queries. During the check-out, the whole process was quick and straightforward. When he learned that I was leaving the country, Paul helped to expedite the refund of my deposit. His colleague Maria arranged for the full refund of my deposit on the very same day as my check-out which was simply fantastic. I have been renting in various locations in England since 2008 and I would say this is by far the best agency in terms of tenant experience. They are very responsive, have a personable approach and will try to sort out any issues quickly - these are all very important factors for a tenant experience that I did not observe when I dealt with big agencies in the past. Our experience with Borthwicks was incredibly positive. After weeks of searching and dealing with pushy agents from the bigger agencies, the warm and grounded approach from Paul and the team at Borthwicks was such a refreshing change. They let us the perfect apartment at the beginning of the first covid lockdown, when all the safety procedures we're so accustomed to now were brand new. They were quick to reply when we needed anything, otherwise they left us in peace to enjoy the apartment and the lovely area. Recently rented a flat in Chiswick from Borthwicks. We have used large agencies to rent in Chiswick before, and when looking again, had friends recommend this place to us. What I liked about them is that they found me exactly the kind of place that we needed based on our requirements. Some of the other agencies we used would insist on showing us places that were clearly what we didn’t want (we needed a step-free place). Lovely staff, extremely responsive, kind and helpful and unlike the last property managers we had who changed every month and gave us zero continuity on follow up, the staff here all seem to have been around for a long time, know the area really well, and have been really thorough with follow ups and sorting out the normal teething issues when we first moved in (something’s not working, etc etc). They also had quite a few properties listed that weren’t listed on multiple sites and hence, we didn’t have to compete with a lot of other people viewing. 😊

We found Paul Charman by chance and glad we did. The relationship has been great, easy and transparent which, unfortunately, you won´t get so often in this business. We´ve rented through 4 different agencies (top ones) and Borthwicks is the best by far. Our time with Borthwicks has been great so far and as Matt says (a few reviews below) its administration fees are extremely reasonable in my opinion. Wow - absolutely amazing customer service! I've been through multiple estate agents and Borthwicks is above and beyond all others. Especially Paul C. who has been just a pleasure to work with. From the moment he showed me the flat, to finalising the lease, and ensuring I was moved in properly - it's been such a pleasant surprise. He responds quickly, resolves things, and is polite. I had a list of requests from moving items out, to getting new appliances, and all were accomodated without question. There is no doubt I will use Borthwicks for future property needs.
