My first time renting in London from France. I have never used google review before but I had to as I want to mention how helpful Grace was with my property search. Grace translated everything for me so I felt comfortable with my search and helped me along the way. As grace is English I found this “going the extra mile”. I chose Chestertons to sell my small apartment as the internet research I did showed that they got very close to the asking price and sold most properties within a couple or so months of listing them. This meant to me that they were not in the business of overpricing and then waiting months for someone to rashly pay over the market value. Clearly they were in the business to sell the property on their books. So, accurate valuation and therefore a swift sale. The brochure they produced was beautiful and really did make the place look it's best, and they put as much effort into it as if it had been one of their top properties. Mr Wadhwani was very professional and pleasant when he came to value the apartment, and was straightforward and honest. Shih-Yu Phang, who handled my sale, found a buyer and kept her on board while the extremely complex and tedious business of extending the lease went through. Shih-Yu could not have been more helpful and professional and made a very stressful time tolerable, and was a model of patience and good practice. I found Chestertons work to be excellent and I cannot fault them or praise them highly enough. Looking at the range of properties they have for sale, mine must have been at the lower end of the values they deal with, yet they treated the sale as if it was a property worth millions. Of course there is a charge for the work they do, but I was glad to pay it as they disposed of my property in the most painless and profitable manner, treated me and the buyer respectfully and were in all ways a model of customer service. I note that a very similar property in the neighbourhood advertised by Purple Bricks at the same time as mine is still for sale 18 months later .... Chestertons is an excellent estate agent and a model company, I wish more modern businesses were like them.
