I would suggest the agency to start sending the tenancy agreements to the tenants before they are requested to transfer or pay anything so they could read it prior. Choices have made the referencing process very easy and smooth. I am due to sign my lease on Monday, having dealt so far primarily with Esme Hinton, who has been professional and really helpful - so far, my experience with Choices has been positive. 2019 Update: I have now been living in my choices managed property for a year. Choices have been pretty responsive when we have had to contact them in that time, and pretty good about making repairs promptly etc. I dealt with Nicole when renewing my lease and although there was quite a bit of back and forth trying to get the lease into shape, she was helpful and responsive.

I had a great experience with Catherine, who was very personable and made me feel at ease when she showed me around the place. She also called after my move in to check everything had gone smoothly and got everything rolling to replace the old mattress. So far, I'm very happy. Only thing was the reference was a bit of a hassel as they kept calling me to ask for one bit of information at a time, but it was through another company and it was processed in about 3 days.

Generally quite good. Checkin was fine, most issues with the house they fix quickly and they have a decent online portal. I paid about £300 for check-in/checkout and referencing. Although, I also saw a tenancy renewal fee of about £90 hidden the contract. My deposit was returned after a month (although they don't do this without being prompted). One major issue is the 2 month notice period they require to move out. Most places are 1 month and meant I had to give notice before I could look for other properties. They also didn't seem interested in helping me find a new property but I guess that's their loss. Overall, a decent experience if you're new to renting in London or need something quickly. I've certainly dealt with much worse agencies in the past.

I have been a tenant living in one of the properties managed by Choices for 2 and a half years now. Esme Hinton is an extremely helpful member of staff and has made the experience extremely positive and stress free. When there is an issue with the house she can get it resolved with a quick turnaround (for example getting the bathroom door handle fixed within a day of me raising the issue or getting the electricity looked at and fixed when the sockets went down, to name a couple of examples). She is easily contactable and will get back to me very quickly if I e-mail or call with a problem or request. She has been extremely effective in assisting me with the move from room 2 to room 6 in the house I am currently in, including organising the new cost breakdown and tenancy agreement in timely fashion and organising the inventory check for each room on the move in day (as well as giving me the contact details of a cleaner) so I could move out of one room and into the other on the same day. She is also available whenever I have questions and answers within good time if not immediately on the phone or via e-mail. She is an extremely friendly and helpful member of the agency.
