These guys are an absolute pleasure to deal with and a credit to the industry. Super friendly and professional from start to finish. Billy is full of smiles and a genuinely nice guy from over the phone to in person. Once I had viewed the property and said I was interested in making an offer he was quick to tailor something to my needs and to that of the landlords. The offer was subsequently accepted and I can confidently say that I am more than impressed by the whole process. Especially at a time when properties are flying off the market quicker than British pigeons I have to give credit to them for making sure it was me that got the property.

I purchased my property in London thought David Astburys, and I got a great service from them. Matthew Norris was the agent who showed us the property. From the beginning he was honest and clear with the flat conditions, and he helped us getting a good deal that matched the Seller's and my goals. During the process, he was very responsive (less than 24h in every email), and we were able to see the property multiple times before the exchange of contracts. At the end of the process, the agent Carmen Chong was key to complete under the desired timescales. General feedback/recommendation for the company: provide checklists to first time buyers and develop a better communication system rather than endless email chains.

I could not recommend going through David Astburys enough! Having searched for a new home for the past couple of months, we had lots of negative experiences with estate agents in London. It seems making empty promises and not staying in touch is a trait that many agencies around London share... Thankfully all that changed when we went through David Astburys! For those who have tried to rent in London, they will know that getting to and from viewings can be extremely time consuming and often fraught with last minute cancellations and other issues. Me and 3 of my friends are students who were looking for a flat and I could not recommend David Astburys (and in particular Billy, who dealt with us) more! We're about to move into a lovely place in Crouch End so I can't say much about the living experience but the process of acquiring the flat was smooth and painless. We'd had a bad experience with another agency before but this was the complete opposite, Billy was so helpful, communicative and friendly. Being students we weren't the most experienced so Billy was happy to answer our questions at any time, he made it clear he was there to help. The landlord had never rented to students so she wanted to meet us first, Billy accompanied us and calmed our nerves every step of the way (I say this because finding a place a few weeks before uni starts is very stressful and the previous agency wasted so much of our time that we were in a difficult situation!) All in all I can say that Billy went above and beyond and Kinal - who dealt with the contract and admin side of things - was also very helpful and friendly. They quickly dealt with my son's requests regarding the studio he chose e.g. the removal of an item of furniture by the landlord. We came across David Astburys after a disasterous experience with another agency. We had met George while he was still at his previous agency and had been really impressed, but as first time landlords we fell into the trap of going with the too-good-to-be-true offer that the other agency made us, thinking one agency is much the same as another. Three weeks after the outgoing tenants left, we were wondering why our flat hadn’t been let (we’d had several offers in the first few days when we first listed it the year before) we went over to the property and discovered that the tenants had trashed the flat and that the agency we were using had been showing potential tenants around with it in that state. They hadn’t enforced the cleaning policy when the tenants left, nor had they told us we needed to get cleaners in, this was obviously really upsetting. I remembered that George had texted me a few days previously letting me know about his new agency and asking how we were getting on with the property. I called him and he was able to come over IMMEDIATELY - we don’t live in London anymore, so it was amazing that he was able to make the time to come over as it would have been a faff to come in again. Although our confidence in estate agents was at that stage at absolute zero, he was a massive comfort and a mine of information, giving us advice on what to do going forward and assuring us that we had just had a bad experience. He told us he would be able to get the flat occupied within a couple of weeks, and he did exactly that. All costs were explained and there weren’t any hidden extras, the team at DA totally managed our expectations and everyone we had dealings with there have been nothing short of wonderful. They’re always in touch very quickly if we have problems, and I do really feel they go above and beyond what I would expect from an estate agent. We have used many estate agents over the years as renters, buyers and landlords, and to be honest it’s not something I’ve ever enjoyed doing, however if all of them were like David Astburys I think we would have formed a different opinion. I really can’t recommend them enough!
