a.Outstanding estate agents! When I chose to go with Dexters to sell my flat I’d lost faith in estate agents and that my flat would ever sell. Dexters charged a little more commission than other agents but was worth every penny. Karen and her team have been excellent right from the start. My flat was under offer within weeks. The team kept up regular communication, were professional and went that extra mile to help me prepare for completion. I only with I’d gone with them sooner!

In particular, Karen is a phenomenal negotiator. First off, when I was looking for a property to purchase, she managed to broker a deal for me that wasn't even listed as an option because she knew what I was looking for and was adept at getting a deal suitable for both parties across. Second, on the sale side of my chain, she was able to manage multiple stakeholders' expectations (and emotions) very calmly such that we ended up with a good outcome. I cannot recommend Karen enough.
Overall, having dealt with multiple estate agencies in the past as a previous buyer, I can say that Dexters is by far the superior choice.

Over the past 16 years Dexters have kept the place rented and maintained through strong and less strong economic times. I have always found the advice pragmatic, accurate, fair and financially expedient. The team have always got me excellent tenants, with a minimum or very little void. I had tried several other agents locally who were quick to sell their services but slow on delivery of viewings, follow-ups and ultimately closing the new tenant agreement. My main POC was Cianan O'Shea - I cannot rate him highly enough. Firstly he was super professional, responsive to emails and calls and always factual and to the point. He respectfully challenged me on a couple of assumptions I had (that were wrong) which I really liked. We had good discussions and debates and came to a deal that worked well for all. Cianan even went out of his way to help with logistics of the move and cleaning given i was out of the country at the time - he did this on his weekend and evenings. Honestly, Dexters and Cianan have been the best agency I've worked with in the area and I strongly recommend him and them for future needs. I'll certainly be using them again.

When we emailed back to ask what happened there was still no reply. Last minute cancellations happen, we just expect reasonable communication. I know if would be selling a house I wouldn't want Dexters Islington office to be agents. Good luck to the sellers who have appointed them.
[Update] I discussed with the agents and cleared the situation as they sent an email to my other email address on their file about cancellation. Updating the review as I understand it was just a minor confusion though it could have been bit better.
C. D.It is a pleasure to recommend Dexters. This is the first time that I have used their services to sell a property and they came up trumps.
Despite multiple agencies for a difficult to sell flat, they produced the most viewings and eventually found a buyer at the best price we could have hoped for. Communication was excellent throughout the extended process. Calls are answered within two rings and messages always get replies.
Though it is invidious to single out individuals, we were exceptionally impressed with our main contact, Karen Keating. Towards the end of the process, when overloaded solicitors were slow and the process was flagging, she worked very hard to maintain the momentum and everyone's enthusiasm.

We were put in an incredibly stressful position as our current landlord illegally broke our tenancy agreement and tried to get us to agree to an outrageous Section 13 notice, four months into living at the property. We were dizzyingly searching for a place, the second time this year, during the pandemic - whilst in the medias res of major projects for our careers - we eventually found some places on Dexters.
Shay was our agent - really nice and affable upon meeting - he really came through for us in the end. I won't go through the full details but he's found us a great sounding landlord, a great property and really pushed for us as tenants! It makes a nice change from the dodginess we've not only heard of, but have experienced, with so-called mainstream Estate Agents.

In hindsight I can now firmly say that Dexter’s got me a great price relative to the others sold since then on the same street. Dexter’s quickly found a new buyer when one dropped out and then when I had a “disagreement” with Dexter’s it was amicably resolved. I used three other agencies so I can say with confidence that while all agencies were friendly and able to bring numerous buyers through the house, Dexter’s had REAL buyers as I received three offers through Dexter’s relative to just one from the other three agencies. Not sure how Dexter’s achieved that but well done.

I. I.Islington estate agents have to work hard in one of the toughest London markets. Dexter's, a large but personal company, had seemingly almost too many properties to choose from. I felt perhaps they were too mainstream to have the right property for us.
Instead, they had a world class development on City Road, 4 viewings later on a tight schedule, and I know write this from our new rental, reflecting on the whole process... What I experienced, was that the deal lead by Henry, and the team lead by Andrew, were all working very hard to nail the brief and complete on time, and in the right way.
So, when reading around the brand as an after thought, I am surprised to see a sentiment of blame rather than commendation. It comes with the territory in property. And yet, with a high level of competition and fairly aggressive conditions, you have to guess estate agents need to wear a smile AND drive the process to completion for all sides. Every single day.
Sometimes things don't line up at first, but agents who care and have the right support can make it work. So, not only did Dexters excel, but I think a small need for a positive review culture in property management and residential sales should be seized and encouraged. There are always potential challenges, and yet it feels like Dexter's bring out the wining solutions for all. They showed great patience with my family's needs and an international landlord, on a tough time zone, and time line. They reacted quickly and diligently.
So, Henry and the team, thanks for finding our best property and best landlord in over a decade of renting. And dare I say it our best estate agent. Genuinely though this office, is one to be recommended.

A. K.I leased a flat through this office after seeing it on Zoopla. Renting and moving is always stressful, and lettings offices can often be intimidating. I was also viewing flats with Foxton's and found that with every agent I felt pressured and forced to sign the paperwork right then and there as they were always claiming it would "go quickly." With Dexter's I never felt any pressure, I was given ample time to make a decision, and when I decided to move forward they were quick to respond and secured my first choice flat for me with no issue. There were small hiccups, such as having to submit my documents twice, or rescheduling meetings that were more convenient for them rather than coordinating both mine and my partner's schedules, but these are minimal complaints for an otherwise easy process.
