The service from D&G from the very early planning stages of our project to the finished result was brilliant. Sophie provided excellent research and valuable insight to aid the final choice of design and layout for the flat prior to the start of the project. Regular site visits followed. Once the flat was completed the marketing advice was excellent, indeed Mattia found us a buyer within a week of the flat launch. This all in the middle of a global pandemic! It has been a very positive experience working with D&G on the sale of our flat, as Mattia worked very well to find us a serious buyer. Throughout the process, his advice, communication and transparency has been exceptional, clearly understanding our needs and concerns. Following a very challenging year under all aspects, my property was on the market since January 2020, rotating across numerous agencies. However the real results came through when I instructed D&G in August, as after approximately 6 weeks, Mattia presented me with a very attractive offer - ultimately standing out relative to their peers. One particular aspects which was important to me and thought that D&G did a very good job, is their duty of care towards their client. For example, I never felt under pressure in any particular way to accept unsatisfactory offers, no matter how close they were to taking price. I would happily conduct more business with D&G or recommend their services to others.

My family and I approached Douglas & Gordon in Gloucester Rd. to enquire about a short-term let in the Kensington area. I was introduced to Steven Toal-Lennon, Senior Letting Negotiator. Immediately, he made himself available and showed me a couple of properties close to their offices. Consequently, we were able to move out of our Hotel (we had recently immigrated to the UK from Cape Town, South Africa) and directly into a very suitable apartment on 13 November 2017 for a month. He was extremely helpful, kind and supportive, whilst at the same time, always professional. From inventories to payments, he was always on hand to help and assist very efficiently, assuring me his mobile was always on. Our next step was to move into a 12 month let (one that Steven had shown me earlier) and this required a referencing process completely unfamiliar to me and, at times, quite overwhelming. Steven guided the whole process very competently and helped us to really feel as though we were in very safe hands indeed and that it would all come together, which it did. Given the stress of such a huge move, coupled with both my children starting at their English universities in late September, and awaiting business news from SA, his assistance proved invaluable through a difficult and vulnerable time. We were able to move into a new apartment on 12 December 2017 in time for Christmas and are starting to settle down very comfortably. My compliments to Douglas & Gordon managers Esmeralda Koletsi/Kensington and Serena Barkes/Pimlico (as they successfully negotiated both tenancies with the respective landlords) and Steven's excellent service and valued friendship - we are very grateful. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and this particular Agency. The whole office always struck me as very industrious and professional, but friendly - the perfect combination.
