While Foxtons have a higher fee than most agents you get what you pay for. Kevin and Tanbhir were great to work with. Within a couple days they had the professional photographer round, got the flat on the market and had arranged several viewings. We hadn't sold the flat by the end of the 6 week contract and so we decided to also get another agent on board for competition. The other agent were useless and said it would take 6 weeks just to come out and take the pictures. By then we had an offer we were happy fo accept. Some of the agency they wouldn’t event bother to reply on my request and some they called me 3months after I requested viewing. Mohammed called me the same day and send me a list with properties that match my creteria and he even propose to show me a flat that was in different area from the one I was serching. First thing I would say is that, this was a lengthy process and Tanya was fantastic throughout. I have spoken to/dealt with many different estate agents from larger and smaller firms and Tanya stood out as the most competent, knowledgeable and helpful by a distance. She quickly understood the key things I was looking for in a property, which made the visit process much more relevant as we rarely 'wasted' viewings (beneficial for both parties). In terms of the local area, Tanya was very knowledgeable and detail-oriented - I asked a number of questions and this helped plot where would be the ideal location and more importantly, why. The estate agent works for the buyer (primary objective: achieving the best price possible). I could see that with a less-able estate agent, from a buyer's perspective - it could feel at times that you do not have much/any support during the process. However, Tanya takes the pragmatic and logical stance that - the objective for everyone is to get the deal done. I really felt that this was not a one-sided process at all and I believe she did an excellent job managing and balancing the relationships on both sides. I really appreciate the considerable time spent, at times above and beyond what would be within the 'standard' remit. This was vital in coming to an agreement and being able to complete.
