Having used cheaper online agents to find the last 2 sets of tenants for my flat, I must admit I was reluctant to appoint HSC given their higher charges. But wow am I glad that I did. Within 2 days they'd found an ideal tenant and they were responsive throughout the process of setting up the new tenancy. It's now clear to me what you pay for vs the online portals: 1) local market knowledge, 2) their long list of high quality potential tenants (the new tenant said to me themselves they would have never gone ahead with a viewing if the flat wasn't listed with an established high street letting agent), and 3) personal service with an individual who knows you and your flat. HSC has managed my flat since 2012. I chose them because of good advice I received from them pro bono when I was looking for an investment property. I have never had cause to reconsider. Through a series of tenancies each lasting between one and three years, vacant periods have always been less than two weeks. My latest reletting occurred during lockdown in a setting of falling rentals but an increase in the rental I had been receiving from the previous tenant was achieved. I have always felt that my own interests were the core business of the agent but know that my tenants felt well served in their tenancy too. Angela Kelly leads a smooth running operation with considered judgement. Julian Lewin, Jamelia Jones Bascom and Hannah Rheeston have provided for me the various components of the service with efficiency and good communication at all times.

Very happy with HSC! Found an amazing place with a good price with the help of Kris. Kris was very prompt to reply all my emails during the moving in process. We were promised an induction hob upon moving in and while it was difficult to find the right size, Kris kept in contact , followed up on the matter and we finally got the hob installed. The HSC team were friendly and professional. They did an excellent job finding me a tenant quickly at asking rent in a very difficult market. Angela knows her market very well and was realistic about what to expect and very clear about what would be involved in the process. HSC’s terms and conditions were easy to understand and reasonable. There were a couple of minor issues with the inventory (done by a separate company retained by HSC) and I didn’t find the referencing information on my overseas tenant especially helpful, but otherwise, a very positive experience.

We have been using HSC's services (buy, sell, rent and manage) for nearly a decade now. They are the only agency that we feel comfortable working with. They are fair in their assessment - suggested the right market price that can get a deal closed without losing too much time. There are times that they advised me not to sell yet as it's not the right time (I would either have to wait a long time or make a loss). They are able to find us the right tenants swiftly with just a couple or few visits. All of their staff is easy to work with (minimum trouble, clear and timely communications). So it's such a breeze! They have a selection of high quality and well-priced boutique housing. I highly recommend HSC!

I rented an apartment through Hurford Salvi Carr. The whole experience from first walking into their office until moving into my apartment has been a pleasure and very easy. They showed me an apartment on Tuesday and already on Thursday I was able to move in, they worked very hard to make it possible. The place is really nice as well, I am very happy with it! It was found by one of their agent after I described kind of what I was looking for, the apartment I saw in their office wasn't available and later in the day they sent me suggestions for other apartments, and they were all great.
