From the day that we invited them to value the property which was slightly unusual but above average studio flat, to the day that we completed the sale, ( and during covid effected period of operation) the sales manager and the negotiator Tim and Hussein were professional and accessible with no panic approach and a sense of humour. Specifically in our opinion their valuation in unusual ( covid) market was spot on and better still although one rival agent priced the property between 15% to 17% lower and Hussein through his negotiation skills acheived very close to the asking price. It was a property that in the opinion of ourselves the vendor had a little bit of a wow factor which was fully appreciated by both Knight Frank and the other agent Hamptons and that was reflected both in their prices and the ability to sell.

Fenella Freeland was brilliant in making a most unusual sale for us. An aunt of mine had died owning a street-side parking lot - space for just one car, with the usual chain and padlock to keep others out. I rang Knight Frank and asked if they would sell a parking lot, expecting no. But Fenella arranged to meet us on site in Hyde Park Gardens. 'I think', she said, 'that the highest price paid as yet for a parking lot in this road is £200,000.' We gulped. 'But', she added, I think we should test the market by suggesting bids around £225,000' She produced a splendid 55-page brochure with a picture of the lot, surrounded by accounts of the brilliance of surrounding Bayswater. This was pushed through neighbouring letter-boxes on a Sunday with the announcement that the highest bid received by noon on Friday would be accepted. I will not divulge commercial confidences, but suffice it to say that the winning bid broke the previous record by a very acceptable margin. Frenella was efficient, friendly and considerate as well as being commercially astute, and because of her I am big fan of Knight Frank.
