I’ve now just entered into my 5th year with Maalems renting and managing my property and I couldn’t be happier with our relationship. I’ve just had new tenants sign up for 2 years and can not speak highly enough of everyone at Maalems. When I look back on decisions I’ve made, giving my Keys to Leah Allam will always be one of the smartest. From the very first day I asked Maalems to rent my property there has never been 1 day that passed without tenants in it. So with my new tenants that will surpass 6 years. I can’t speak highly enough of Leah Allam and Felix Pope. They are perfect professionally to get me everything I need and more from my flat but I also feel they are both so personable, who feel like two friends that have my flat and my best interests as their priority. I couldn’t wish for more. At the start of the week I got an email saying my current tenants will be moving out in 2 months, within 48 hours Leah Allam had viewings lined up and finally 48 hours later Felix Pope emailed me with an amazing offer from new tenants. Rents have gone up and on top of that Maalems even managed to achieve a monthly fee over the asking price. Prior to renting my flat I’d always thought of doing it but I was too worried that it would be so stressful and people wouldn’t treat my flat the way I do, so I put it off for a couple years. How wrong I was! Maalems also manage my flat and it makes everything completely stress free for me. Magda Zabielska of the management team is amazing. Every time my flat needs something doing she sends me an email with the problem, usually supplying photo evidence, and then the cost and full breakdown to get it fixed. Often when it’s to replace something, Magda will price up a few different options for me to decide. She takes care of all the safety certificates and servicing etc etc. zero stress for me which is what I want. I also feel I should mention Matthew Jones, brilliantly efficient and many times he has been has able to resolve any small issues I’ve had, again a pleasure to deal with. Whatever your needs from an Estate Agents, I can guarantee Maalems are the very best.

He was not pushy in calling my mobile to try to trick me into anything. As a company their prices were the best in Earlsfield which is what drew me to using them, also I did not receive pushy phone calls or pressure from them at any stage. Once I was appointed James as my agent he was prompt in getting the photos taken and the flat up online. There were issues along the way and every time James assisted in providing a prompt response and it was due to trusting his advice with the sale that got the viewings in and the flat sold. Maalems were a joy to deal with. James was the only agent on Garratt Lane who was willing to give his time and advice when we were looking to convert our loft a couple of years ago (despite renting out our flat at the time through Jacksons, who never called us back!). We liked him immediately for his honest, straight-talking attitude – so much so that when we came to sell, we didn’t bother getting any other agents in to value. Maalems' no-nonsense approach was extremely impressive all the way through the process. Despite a pretty painful sales process involving a chain below and above, James held everything together his end, and we ended up with a price in excess of asking price post-lockdown. I read a discussion on our street’s community page about the merits of various agents in Earlsfield. Someone said they didn’t think it mattered who you instruct to sell. We disagree entirely. One of our friends on the street tried two different agents, and neither could sell it. Maalems did. Don’t underestimate the value of a local agent – with local knowledge and expertise.
