I have come across a lot of surveyors and in general my experience has been negative. The last surveyor I used to do a valuation survey for my shared ownership flat took several months and it fell through at the last minute. I then asked my lawyer (James E Barnes Solicitors) to recommend a surveyor and they recommended Chris from McDowalls. He was exceptional and turned around the valuation report within 24 hours. Chris was communicative and did a top notch job on the report. His valuation of my flat was on par with the market rate and I can’t recommend him highly enough.
