Mandy and Peter were courteous, professional, and very prompt in recently finding tenants for my rental property after my existing tenants had given notice at an awkward time just prior to Christmas 2021. Mandy went over and beyond during the Christmas holiday period by personally arranging for the keys to the property to be picked up from her private residence by the electrical certification company. I have used Stonehouse now for approximately 16 years and I have had numerous impeccable tenants with no issues whatsoever. Stonehouse tenants are vetted carefully and come with concise references from employers and former landlords. I would recommend Stonehouse Estates to any prospective tenant or landlord.

Well done once again to Tony and his experienced and friendly team for dealing with the sale of another one of my properties that I originally purchased through them just over 20 years ago and that they have been managing for me ever since. The sale could have not gone as smoothly , and the purchasers could have pulled out of the sale yesterday as the stamp duty holiday fast approached but Tony and his team had the know how and the expertise to get the sale over the line by chasing all parties concerned. Stonehouse is like no other real estate agency, and what makes it stand out is its people. We first met Asim Butt when we stopped by the Stonehouse’s office. It was our first experience of renting in London, and Asim gave us tons of helpful advice on what to look for in properties, without pushing any particular options. He did a quick search and came up with a number of options within our budget, arranged a viewing on short notice, where he guided us through the property explaining all the pros and cons, and letting us meet the current tenants, so that we had complete information about the property after the viewing. We always felt that we could turn to Asim for help and advice and he would always give us objective information that we could rely on. Another gentleman who was extremely helpful in wrapping up our offer was Peter Tofis. He handled the agreement with the landlord very efficiently, in shortest possible time, so that we could move in on a short notice. Once we moved in, Stonehouse’s property manager, Diana Nicolaescu, was taking good care of us. There were a few things that had to be fixed in the flat, and these were addressed promptly by Diana to our satisfaction. Diana is always very fast to reply and very effective in managing our requests. Finally, we had the pleasure of meeting the Stonehouse Estate’s Director, Tony Michaels, who knows N19 like no other person, having grown up here, and personally knows every landlord that the company is working with. We are very happy to have come across Stonehouse Estates in our property search, and would recommend this wonderful team to all of our friends looking to rent.

There needs to be an element of trust between an absentee landlord and those entrusted to look after the property. Dare I say that has improved of late. It was always good with Stonehouse, but has recently got better. We moved out of our flat in 2002 and kept it to let out. After it had sat empty for 3 months despite my best efforts to find a tenant I handed it over to Stonehouse Estates. In the last 17 years it has been empty for just 1 month. They have a good network of electricians, plumbers, decorators etc who go in quickly and resolve issues for a fair price. They are decent to the tenants, most of whom have renewed their tenancies at least once and only move if they leaving the area. I can definitely recommend them to local landlords.

We looked round a couple of estate agents at the same time, and Stonehouse (Kurt) knocked spots of them in terms of actually seeming interested in understanding what exactly what we were/wern't looking for, instead of throwing us a sales pitch and suggesting we view properties which didn't meet any of our criteria (JTM), or just asking for our email address before getting us back out the door (David Andrews). They are nice guys, but professional, and its been a pleasure going through the processes with them.

He put a lot of effort in to helping us to find a new flat, including showing us round a few times and helping us to measure up, and made considerable efforts since on our behalf to liaise with the landlady to ensure that the necessary refurbishments to the flat were carried out in time for us to settle in at short notice. He was always polite, patient and communicative which helped a lot in terms of keeping our stress levels down after some previous bad experiences. On days when John was away, Kurt was also available and helpful.

I would like to echo Polina's comments below, as I bought her flat. Asim was wonderful - always reachable, even spending 15 minutes on the phone to me while off work for a funeral. You can't argue with that! Despite some delays getting the paperwork from the council, he hustled until the very end, getting us completed and in before Christmas - an unrealistic goal we had set with no understanding of how long the process actually takes. But he did it! i would definitely recommend listing your house with them, and if you are lucky enough to find a property you love that they are representing, know that you will be in good hands with Mr. Butt.
