Since the sale of my property was rather more complicated than usual, I was keen to find a flexible, knowledgeable and responsive estate agent. I found Tatlers by referring to GetAgent, rejected the first recommended (they were cheaper but failed in more than one respect). Tatlers were also not hampered by the strict rules of a large chain, so were rather more flexible in their initial sole agency timespan (which turned out to be unnecessary when buyers appeared promptly thanks to a realistic price). I was also impressed that Tatlers put me in touch with a local solicitor with knowledge of the legal intricacies of how to sell my particular property, and who in turn was very responsive, but if ever I was unable to get through, Tatlers contacted him for me. After my initial encounter with their very professional and helpful boss, Hakan Bosati, who backed up my calculated asking price and negotiated our final contract, I actually dealt with Michael Luckhurst until completion. He was excellent - always available when in the office, and if not there, within a short space of time, phoning me promptly when I had no time to look for emails from my solicitor, corresponding directly with the buyer (even when he was abroad) when his awful conveyancing company appeared to consistently ignore responses, being very aware of the greater complications of selling my property by liaising with the solicitor rather than my having to explain, and in turn explaining to my buyer, if necessary by phone, when his conveyancer was unhelpful. All in all, he made what should have been a stressful 4 months, which included a legally enforced 2 month wait, into a comparatively smooth and quick process at a time of huge uncertainty.

People tend to say the estate agents only care the interests of the sellers as it is the sellers who pay for their fees. But we found that was not true for Tatlers. Georgina was really interested in what we want and tried her best to find the property that meets our requirement. Just moved into my fantastic new flat . The process was a bit of a nightmare to be honest, problems with the mortgage, timescale ran over and certain other parties going missing for weeks giving me no information. Tatlers Muswell Hill, in paticular Daniel however was none of the above. He was the only one that kept me in the loop about what was happening. There are usually hold ups in buying/selling houses and thats no problem and is now somewhat expected, people generally dont mind too much as long as they know what is happening. Daniel let me know all the way through what was happening and why things were taking a little longer than expected. From the initial viewing all the way to the completion there was only 1 person I could rely on to get an answer and that was him There was period early on when he was on holiday and I think I dealt with Lewis and Marco who again were very helpful, so credit to them too. I didnt speak to anyone else in the Muswell Hill branch but if they are all as good as these then it must be a very good team. Can't thank them enough for getting this all sorted for me.
