We were greeted by four separate agents because our first, fifth and sixth were, luckily, with Winkworth Shoreditch's Tom, He was punctual, professional and smart. Sharp, resourceful and educational. I have completed a purchase flat from Winkworth Shoreditch right before the end of February. My estate agent was Thomas Pearman. To say the process was seamless is to say very little indeed. Thomas handled the communication seamlessly from start to finish. I viewed the property on January 4th and made the offer this very day. He connected me to his mortgage broker from SPF Private Clients, Faye Richards, who gave me a call immediately. I spoke to quite a few mortgage brokers before but Faye was the most professional and reassuring. By the end of the call I knew that I was going ahead with her services right away and I was not mistaken. You get what you pay for in this space and Faye has found me the best offer and managed the process with Thomas in tandem all the way through to completion. Meanwhile, Thomas put my offer across and all was accepted quite quickly and incredibly smoothly. The deadline set by the seller was tight but thanks to Thomas' responsiveness and professionalism, I got through it with no obstacles on the way. I have dealt with estate agents before and my experience was far from being that smooth. This is the first time indeed that I am leaving a feedback to an estate agent. As a result, I have no hesitations in recommending this branch after speaking to a few people there including Thomas' manager who I spoke to on one occasion when calling in. In fact, my friend who is going to look for a purchase soon and is anxious about the process decided to go straight to Thomas (I don't think he knows about this yet :). He also had great relationships with the tenants at my property and checked that everything was in order for them to move out. FIVE Stars. Because of the hard work and dedication of the team at the Winkworth branch at Shoreditch we were able to sell our home quickly and buy our next property during a very stressful process. Tom Ballard (Sales Negotiator) consistently answered our calls and kept us informed of any updates without fail. Our experience with Winkworth was largely a very positive experience thanks to Sean Ward who went above and beyond in helping secure our new flat. We initially tried to purchase another flat in the same block but unfortunately just missed out. Sean stayed in touch with us and when another came available got in touch with us before it hit the market. My only issues with Winkworth were with the Sales Manager Rory Willmott, who I would advise for you to avoid at all costs. I have been extremely happy with my experience with Winkworths Shoreditch. From the very beginning (3 weeks ago) when I first walked into their offices I noticed that they had a very positive can-do approach and really listened to what I wanted. I explained to the lettings manager Tom Street that I wanted to rent my flat out quickly. Within a couple of days of me signing their Terms of Business the advert was live and showed the flat to its full potential, and a day later they had 5 back-to-back viewings organised, which I found quite extraordinary. Daniel Judge, a very cheerful, hardworking lettings agent, did these after work one evening, having explained to me that he was happy to organise viewings after work at times to suit me and the prospective tenants. I dealt with him repeatedly throughout the ensuing period and he was always happy to help and was very committed, easygoing and professional. Fast forward 3 weeks and my flat is rented out to some really nice tenants (who I was able to meet before agreeing to take them). Stephanie Walters, the Office Administrator, worked cheerfully and tirelessly into her evenings after the office had officially closed on various occasions to ensure the paperwork was all done quickly, and she was generally a star. She went way beyond the call of duty to ensure everything went smoothly and I'm extremely grateful to her for her help. I was also impressed that the manager Tom Street always got back to me promptly when I wanted to speak to him. He remained actively involved throughout and did not just delegate everything to the more junior members of the team. It was also noteworthy that there was no drop-off in client care as a result of my signing a sole agency agreement with them, thereby excluding the possibility of using other agents. I have to give them a rating of 11 out of 10, as they were extremely proactive and efficient all the way through the entire process. Their fees were reasonable and they also effortlessly achieved the asking rent for the flat. They were a pleasure to deal with and struck me as genuinely nice people. Upon leaving the property we realised that Winkworth withdrew the money from a secured deposit scheme without our consent and gave it directly to the landlord who has consequently failed to reimburse our deposit. We are now going through litigation and various stressful endeavours to retrieve our money. I have to put 1 star in the field to post this, but they are not worthy of any. Amended 2. Upon reflection Winkworth were very helpful in helping me get my deposit back. There was a miscommunication about the deposit scheme. Each member of the team were proactive in helping me ascertain my deposit. I believe 3 stars is a fair review.
