Everyone at Keenans we’re great to deal with as a whole, but if you have the pleasure of dealing with George at Keenans in Swinton, then you’re onto a winning combination of impeccable customer service, superb property market knowledge, professionalism and integrity from this guy. George showed us around what would turn out to be our first home that we would buy. In the short time that you get to view what will probably be the most expensive purchase of your life, he had all of the answers to our questions and made us feel completely at ease with the daunting house hunting experience. When Simon came round to value our house, he was not only professional, he was also very reassuring, he pointed out all the good selling points in our home, and advised how to highlight them, and he assured us they would take care of everything, from taking pictures, to arranging viewings, and showing possible buyers around, once the house was live on the website, and viewings were booked the house sold within 24 hours! On the day Chris came to value my house, lockdown was announced in England so I thought nothing would be able to be done to progress the sale and that it would take months to get any momentum with it however, the staff at Keenans continued to work during this time and kept me informed of all the work they were doing to give my house what exposure they could (not easy as I was unable to have photos taken because of lockdown!) but their expert knowledge of the area and the type of people my house would appeal to contributed to an offer being made and accepted without being able to actually show anyone around! Selling our house in Salford, we looked at online-only estate agents and traditional. Decided to go traditional as we didn’t have time to do viewings and believe their comments about allowing buyers to talk freely. Great photos, house went on market one Tuesday, sold by Saturday. Guy doing viewings respected our wishes about being careful with doors for our housecat and encouraged people to bid what they could afford/what it was worth. Our house (one for first time buyers) was an offers-over and I believe we got close to the maximum (any more and buyers would start looking at the next band up). We went with their recommended solicitor, accepted offer on 23rd March with an aim to complete 1st June. We completed 15th June on buyers request which turned out to suit us better. A very smooth house selling experience. I would be happy to recommend.

As a first time buyer, Keenans said they would look after me throughout the process. Once I had purchased the property however, I had a couple of issues with them having been misleading in the run up to completion, and I was merely criticised by them for being inexperienced with property buying, and met with a defensive wall of legal speak which absolved them of any and all responsibility.
