Steven Field is an estate agent magician… We had our house on the market for a while with a few estate agents and he managed to sell it. The buyer then disappeared through no fault of Steven - and we thought that we would have to exit from buying our dream house. Steven kept calm (and us calm) - called as many people as he could and qualified any potential purchasers even harder, one of which then came and saw the property and gave an offer higher than the original price straightaway no doubt in part due to the vetting Steven did beforehand. There were some additional challenges in the chain as part of the buying process but Steven managed it throughout diligently and ensured we were able to successfully close on our property and move into our dream house. I could not recommend him enough!

Steven Field at Chewton Rose has handled the sale of our property from start to finish (1.1m 5 bedrooms house). It was a particularly challenging transaction due to the owners’ personal circumstances and the sale was on a multi-agency basis. Steven were head and shoulders above any estate agent that I’ve come across so far. He excelled in all the key skills that were required to complete this transaction: he is first and foremost an exceptional salesman. Steven is always proactively searching for leads and he is very well connected. He has the right balance of technical, interpersonal, organisational and negotiation skills to bring the various parties together to complete the deal. Once the offer was accepted, he did not just step back and wait for solicitors to complete the transaction but he continued to be a key player in the process without whom we probably could not have completed the sale. He was always a step ahead of all other parties in most aspect of the transaction. He new what was going on at all time and from the bottom to the top of the chain. He made sure we were always fully up to date every step of the way. I was a lot less stressed than during any other property transaction I’ve gone through before simply because I knew Steven was working for us and I felt comfortable that if there was a problem he would manage it and he did every single time. I would 100% recommend the whole team at Chewton Rose - Graham, Tim & Steve were all exceptional in the sale of our property. They have the small company ethos where everyone knows what is going on with your property but the backing of a larger company so you get excellent photography and brochures. The after sales process was really important to us and Graham met our expectations and did exactly what he said he would. I can't recommend Chewton Rose enough. We bought our current home through them and noticed they were different from first contact. (before first contact actually if you count our reaction to the property listing, which was outstanding) We were transparent from the start that we were just browsing - not seriously intending to move until 2019 - but that didn't stop Steven (Field) from taking the time to talk in detail about the different areas and giving us recommendations about how we should direct our search efforts. He knew the area like the back of his hand and, when we met him to view the house we eventually bought, he was able to answer every question we threw at him. There was a lot of communication following the viewings (we must have exchanged hundreds of emails) and Steve in particular provided a level of service I had never seen before. His responses were always quick, understanding, patient and helpful. When it came to organising the chain, Graham and Steve both put in a great deal of effort to make it work and we will always be grateful. We don't plan to move anytime soon but wouldn't even consider instructing a different agent to sell our home if/when the time comes.
