We chose Bluestone Sales and Lettings because they are a local independent team and offered a good price for their services. Dean, the owner was really nice and down to earth. Other agencies valued our home at quite a bit more, but we felt the valuation from Bluestone was much more realistic and fair. We ended up getting the exact amount we wanted to get for the property initially. We also liked how Bluestone actually answered their phone and responded to everything. At the same time we were trying to view houses and did not get this at all from other Estate Agents. The only reason for 4* and not 5* is purely because of them not being on Rightmove. We felt that would have brought more viewings to the house. Also worth noting, this was post first Covid19 lockdown and things were still opening up and mortgages were wanting a 15% deposit and this was a first home kind of budget so not an ideal time to be selling. The real gem in the crown for Bluestone is Claire who deals with offers, negotiations and up-dates. Claire is fantastic and in the final few weeks especially, she was more aware of where the sale was than any of the other estate agents or solicitors in the chain, and pushed things forward. This was not an easy task as stamp duty relief was coming to an end and people were super busy. This was solely down to Claire being on top of her game. Any time we needed advice or even a sounding board Claire was always available. Thanks Bluestone :)

I have recently completed on the sale of my Mum's house and I am really pleased that I used Bluestone. The house went on the market a few weeks prior to lockdown. Bluestone actively marketed the property and created a great deal of interest with numerous viewings, they provided me with regular detailed feedback on the viewings and progress updates and successfully sold the property in less than a month. About 2 weeks after agreeing the sale, everything went into lockdown but Bluestone went above and beyond and continued to work remotely to ensure completion at the end of May. We had previously gone with a large estate agent in Newport as they had previously been renting out our house. We are pretty confident that they relied on Rightmove to sell the house and in 20 weeks, they only had 5 viewings. When we switched to Bluestone, we had over that it 3 days! It took a long time to sell our house (due to uncertainty over Brexit) but they carried out over 60 viewings, constantly dedicated to selling the house. We also had an absolute nightmare with our chain when we finally did accept an offer but the whole team knew our case inside out and were chasing the buyers, their solicitors and mortgage adviser...literally anyone they could chase about it, they did. We have been under a different management prior to Bluestone Sales and Lettings. We had traumatic experiences that costed us sleepless nights and stress, to the point of thinking of selling. We thought by going with a well-known big letting agency will help protect us and our investment ,but we were wrong. Too many people involved who don’t know what they are doing and talking about. We were lucky that we came across Dean and his team who helped us a lot in putting us on the right track with our compliance and tenancies. We have been supported all throughout. They worked closely with us. It took them 3 weeks to sort out what was taking the other management months and months to sort out... which given that time they still didn’t managed to do. You may not be as big as the one who handled us but you have the expertise and the heart to understand and support new landlords like us. Our tenants trust you as well because you are fair.
