We bought our house through Red Squirrel. I always found the team very friendly and helpful to deal with. I had plenty of time to look around the property and to wander around by myself which I appreciated, and which helped me to get a feel for the house. Once our offer was accepted they kept us informed of the process and any concerns from the sellers were communicated to us promptly. I felt Red Squirrel made communication between seller and buyer straightforward and pleasant. The team came across as friendly, helpful and trustworthy, and I felt confident buying through them.

I have been highly impressed with the Red Squirrel lettings department and its team from the outset. Everyone has been very friendly and extremely helpful and have always been very quick to respond to any questions that I had. The concept of being sent an online video viewing of the property prior to a physical viewing is a great idea, as many of the questions that you may have about the property are already answered prior to the viewing. Having been tenants of the Island's largest estate agency for the last ten years, where as tenants we felt that we were always treated as being second class citizens, Red Squirrel Property Shop have been a breath of fresh air and have made us feel very welcome as clients. Red Squirrel Review Since the inception of Red Squirrel on the Isle of Wight, we used the company through their letting arm. Eileen Punter was always very professional in her dealings with us and our property and any problems (of which there were very few) were dealt with promptly. We would recommend Red Squirrel Lettings without hesitation. In respect of the sale of our property (completion on 19th March 2021). We were led to believe our purchaser was a cash buyer and therefore we hoped we would complete by Christmas 2020 at the latest. Our buyer offered and we accepted his offer on 12th September 2020. We then learnt, around the end of October 2020, that our buyer had lost his purchaser. We were then informed by Red Squirrel that our buyer’s sale depended on his purchase of our property. This was bad news. Our buyer then lost another purchaser for his property just before Christmas 2020, which we wasn’t confirmed until January 2021. We agreed an increased offer by our purchaser for our flat, as he was anxious to acquire it. It then turned out this offer was provisional on our waiting for our buyer to find another purchaser for his property. We were not prepared to wait for this to happen, so our purchaser obtained a mortgage to purchase our flat. All in all we feel the sale was prolonged mainly because of lack of clear communication between our buyer and Red Squirrel. However this wasn’t helped by Red Squirrel intimating that our buyer was a cash buyer.

Just had a conversation with Alex at Red Squirrel. By far the most helpful and knowledgeable estate agent I've ever talked to. I'd already told him I wasn't interested in the property I'd phoned about but he knew what I was looking for and spent ten minutes giving me the most advice I've yet received. He probably won't get a sale from me, I need to look in another area, but that didn't bother him. He was giving me the advice he knew I needed rather than trying to make a sale and I'm very grateful!
