Of the three different estate agents we came across this team at A&H were a BREATH OF FRESH AIR, responsive, knowledgeable and very professional. It was as if they ironed the road smooth before us. They responded in a timely manner, answered all of our questions and took time to explain and guide us through the process. It’s not often (hopefully) you spend these huge amounts of money so put yourself in their reassuring hands and have a safe journey. Highly recommended.

When we wanted to know if it made sense to convert our loft we thought we would speak to Allen and Harris as they sold it to us back in 2011. David Sheridan was great! He was able to pop round and view the property; give us a before and after valuation, and show us comparable properties and their prices with similar numbers of bathrooms and bedrooms. That helped us hugely in coming to a realisation as to choices we faced. David and the team clearly have a wealth of knowledge and expertise and from our recent experience and form our original purchasing experience we would highly recommend them

I wasn't buying or selling a property, when I had a fall on the pavement outside. The staff at A & H were absolutely brilliant in their concern for me. Especially Anna, the Lettings Manager. She brought a chair outside for me, tended my cuts and bruises, then took me inside and made me a cup of tea, and plied me with cake. I cannot thank her enough. She was a real angel. Found Allen & Harris a very professional and friendly company. Unfortunately we didn't go ahead and buy with them, as we have found another property elsewhere. However, I have stopped here to say, that viewing done by Mark Woolhouse, was one of, if not the best viewing out all the ones we have had so far. We have sold our home with Allen and Harris. Having predominantly dealt with Brendan, Jerome and Tom, we have been delighted by the overall experience. A traditional Estate Agent such as these are always going to be a little more expensive than the online equivalent but suffice to say, our investment has more than paid for itself. We had to sell quickly so as to avoid being disappointed by our new home being sold to somebody else. Brendan realised the urgency straight away and before photos were even taken of our property, the listing was ready on the website. Everything was taken care of expertly, even the way our children were ‘entertained’ when we had to go into the office and couldn’t arrange childcare. Nothing was too much trouble. I’d most definitely recommend Allen and Harris to anybody looking for a reliable, professional service. The guys mentioned above have gone above and beyond from the start to sort the sale for us - the result being... We have just bought our dream home.

Allen & Harris sold our house which is a bonus. We thought we may have issues in selling our house even though we had a 3 bedroom character Victorian cottage which had lots of space around the house . It had no parking around the house hence why we were not hopeful that we would sell it as everyone wants parking these days. We did sell it. . We had quite a few agents showing potential buyers around the house over the few months it took to sell. Some were more keen than others . Abi was the best and as she showed many buyers around she got to know the house and was very pleasant . Overall we were pleased with the service they offered however our three complaints two of which placed a lot more stress on an already stressful time . They did not always get back to you when you emailed them. Two we found the administrator Lynn very manupilative which is not something we found pleasant . The last thing was a big complaint . Allen & Harris told us that our buyers were going away for the WHOLE of August so if we did not push the sale through by the end of July it would have to be in September to complete . They knew that September was a difficult time for the man we were buying from as he was under pressure to move by August . It was very stressful trying to push the sale through by end of July and it cost us more money for the solicitors to do so but we did it. We found out afterwards that our buyers never had planned to go away for the whole month of August . I found out this through one of our buyers relatives and also our old neighbours . There were never plans for them to go away only one of our buyers went away for a few days . We think it was to get that sale through by the end of the month so it helped with their statistics. That should not happen.
