Choosing the right Estate Agent is therefore important to help alleviate the pressure. I found Richard at the Stockton Heath branch to be knowledgeable , professional and responsive. He made sure the process went smoothly and answered any queries I had along the way. I would certainly recommend him to anyone considering selling their property.

We chose Meller Braggins after having market appraisals from 2 other local agents. The reason behind our choice was initially due to a valuation which was closer to our expectation & in excess of 15% greater than the other agents. We felt reassured that the asking price would be achieved through the knowledge that Richard had of the area & the market, further strengthened with a thoughtful marketing launch that would capture our target market. An open house encouraged viewings & within three days we had 3 asking price offers. Richard was then able to guide us through the offers suggesting the benefits & pitfalls of each ensuring a smooth sale. I have recently sold my house through Meller Braggins (Stockton heath branch). In a nut shell Meller Braggins were superb, they delivered way more than my expectation. I wanted to use a local estate agent with local knowledge and not one of the faceless nationwide agents with separate departments for this and that which you are passed around. I was not disappointed in my choice. Richard and his staff were exceptional. They understood the business of selling a house but more importantly they gave a personal touch that helped to remove what can be a stressful process. From the very accurate valuation, Richards invaluable advice re best process and things to do to make the house more presentable and salable, communications from all the staff, right through to contract exchange ( the sale, subject to contract, stage was incredibly quick) all the staff were very professional, helpful and approachable. I was right in wanting a local estate agent but even more so, I chose well in picking Meller Braggins. Integrity, Professionalism & Transparency My husband and I recently sold our home with Meller Braggins and can honestly say the process from start to finish was nothing short of exceptional. We had met with a number of other agents in our local area to decide who we felt would be best. Communication was first class throughout the process, their close knit team work well together and knew each time we called or emailed who were were and what the status and latest updates of our sale were. They are all very experienced and knowledgeable about the market and properties and give open and honest feedback. Some estate agents do little more than book viewings and get you listed on rightmove, our experience from Meller could not have been further from this. What was evident throughout the process was the integrity and honesty, both with us as sellers and also the potential buyers who spoke highly of them. It seems in general a number properties can fall through, people change their mind or the detailed assessment of the buyers and sellers positions and material facts are not explored thoroughly enough. In our experience the likelihood of this happening with a Meller Sale was significantly reduced due to their long term outlook and focus on getting to the best end result for all parties rather than short term numerical targets such as "number of viewings this week". The Melller Braggins approach is focussed on quality. In our experience they don't over estimate sale values for example just to get a house listed with them. What we hoped for was honesty, minimised stress and high level of confidence during the sale process, this is exactly what Richard, Sally and the team delivered. The price Meller suggested listing our house at was not as high as some of the other agents but we trusted them, ended up with five offers and achieved above our sale price. Richard guided us through this process and his experience was invaluable. He made clear the facts, his opinion and advice but was not pushy in any way and gave us time and space to reach the right decision for ourselves. Thean our buyer hit big unforeseen problems with the sale of their property and the whole process then took 4 months to completion. Throughout all the problems and added stress that this caused Richard Capper and his team kept us updated regularly which was something our solicitors failed to do. As the Executor of an estate with two houses in the Stockton Heath area, both in a condition that was far from ideal for sale, and with me living in the south of England, I was very keen to find an adviser who could provide far more than a basic agency service. Firstly, I noticed all the reviews seem to be from sellers. So here is the poi t of view of someone who is currently letting from them. They were very patient, welcoming and ready to help with the process. My sister and I had unfortunate circumstances in work when we started looking, both Meller Braggins and the landlords were patient in waiting for confirmation of me keeping my job. If you are looking at letting or buying the I would suggest them.
