Well where to start! Jamie did my valuation after I had a challenges with the previous agent, after various offers well below my ideal price and one that fell through - Jamie really did put my mind at rest about me selling and I had every confidence after meeting him and the team. From the moment I first got in touch right down to my moving in, Rob Miller the agent was there for me. My expectations of where I wanted to live were high. Things were constantly changing and throughout it all Rob was patient and consistent with his attitude towards me. As we had sold the family house in London and I was moving to Watford to be close to my work, I wanted somewhere comfortable and close to the station and within budget. My demands were quite high and I even felt at times I was pushing it, I sent him constant emails even on his day off (which I don't recommend) but he answered me every time usually straight away but no later than a few hours. He has literally been on this rocky journey with me which started quite sometime ago. It was about 6 months before I actually was able to move and I had seen so many properties and dealt with different agents, but none could be compared to the professionalism and compassion that Rob showed me. As fate would have it although I viewed many beautiful properties I went back to the first property that I ever saw with Rob. For me it was imperative that the property I take I needed to get along with the agent especially since I did not have good relations with some of the others and refused the properties even though they were nice based on the agents attitudes. Rob Miller is an asset to Brown and Merry. He gives estate agents a good name and I could not have done this without him. 2 months have passed and he still keeps in touch to see how I'm doing. He constantly has a smile on his face and laughs at my bad jokes. I don't know how long I'll be staying in Watford for, but if I do not go back to London then there is only one man that I wish to deal with in Watford. Thank You so much for everything. The first person I met from Brown & Merry was an appointment with Rebecca, Rebecca arrived on time with a big smile, after only a couple of minutes she made me feel very comfortable, during her assessment of my property Rebecca was professional, confident, intuitive ensuring that I was at ease with essentially having a stranger looking over my flat something I had not experienced before. Rebecca left me with lots of information explained that Sean would be my contact although I could speak to anyone of the team. Unfortunately I encountered an issue with a property I was buying out of the county with a completely different agent, I already had a buyer for my flat, he had invested financially and now I was going to have to delay him moving in. Sean and Jamie came to my rescue, as weeks turned into months, not only could I not decided where I know, wanted to live but I couldn't find anything I liked or what I needed, I was becoming really despondent and miserable. The guys were fantastic, they called me regularly to help keep me focused, I called them when I felt I needed something positive, they never rushed me off the phone, they made me laugh, and they helped me find my new home. I don't often praise with such high regard however, I have no problem in recommending Brown & Merry not just Jamie and Sean the whole team are amazing and you'll be well looked after, you won't be disappointed. Being first time buyers, we were apprehensive about the process, but JonJo (our mortgage broker) explained everything clearly and enabled us to feel confident in the buying process. He was on hand anytime to answer questions and provide expert guidance. Brown and Merry fees aren't cheap compared to an independent, but the assurance you receive and the lack of stress that comes with dealing with someone on the estate agent side is definitely worth the extra bit of money. Brown and Merry offer referral fees and lifetime brokerage when you go through them which softens the upfront fees somewhat. I will definitely be coming back to JonJo for the next mortgage!
