Nicky is amazing at marketing homes - photos, brochures, online adverts. Nick is brilliant at negotiations (I have been on both sides of the table!) and managing the sales process. They are both very open, nice people and great to deal with. Since they are such a lean operation they know all the details about properties they have on their books and their clients needs on both sides of the transaction. They know the St Albans (+surrounds) market inside out, so if you are new to the area then please speak to them before anyone else. Upon selling we had a bit of a nightmare lower chain and Nick was continually on top of all parties to make sure things kept moving and we all got the chain over the line. I was impressed with Nick when he came to value the house and talk about what North Estates offer. Then, when I saw the quality of their other listings, I just had to go with them, even when other agents offered to undercut them on their commission!
Well, it was absolutely the right decision. I was blown away by the 360 degree tour of the house, the photos and the house listing (all of which were done at lightening fast speed and with the utmost professionalism). All of this gave the best first impression of the house possible and really drummed up interest.
The organisation of a viewing day for 10 prospective purchasers was seamless - it was so great to get it all done in one day. Nicky did a wonderful job of selling the house and we received an asking price offer.
The remainder of the process (from the offer to the actual sale) was managed proactively and effectively by Nick. Not having to chase people is a breath of fresh air!!
Both Nick and Nicky have been not only super responsive and professional but also personable and reassuring.
I really cannot recommend them highly enough... they have been worth every penny.
I am aware that this review probably sounds completely OTT and as if I have been paid to write it (I haven't!) but, quite honestly, it is so rare to find a service that delivers over and above in the way that North Estates have - they really do deserve my glowing praise.

For North Estates I make an exception as this is the second property they have sold on my behalf and on both occasions the service has been outstanding and exceptional. I cannot praise their professionalism enough. The particulars and marketing they produce are of the highest quality. My own property being a development opportunty was rather niche and not the easiest to sell but again North Estates overcame all hurdles and maximised my sale price in a timely manner with a successful sale. Being a husband and wife team Nick and Nicky own the business so your business is their livelihood which makes all the difference compared to all the sub standard high street chains we all know and loathe.
Choosing North Estates for my sales is the best choice I ever made, wouldn't use anyone else and hand on heart would recommend to all.
T. J.When we decided to sell our home we invited three agents to view our property and advise us on the best marketing direction. Nicky from North Estates came to view our home and value it, the first thing that struck us was that she wanted to get to know us first before looking at our home, there was no hard sell. We know that estate agents get a bad press sometimes but Nicky gave us complete confidence that their professional approach would sell our home so we didn't hesitate in appointing North Estates to market our home.
Nicky took her time to look at our home, making detailed notes of each room and our home as a whole, the very next day Nicky came back to take photographs of our home and garden on top of the photos North Estates use 360 virtual tour photography so that you can get a real feel for the layout of a property when viewing on line. Within a day the brochure was ready and the 360 on line viewing tool was ready too, the whole process was completed within two days and as a result of the quality of their work we had our first viewing on day three. Nicky accompanied prospective buyers whilst Nick Nicky's husband takes care of the marketing and communications with the seller and buyers, we accepted one of four offers on day six and we are convinced that the reason we had four offers so quickly was simply that our home looked fantastic due to their work but we must add it was a true reflection of our home and was not embellished in anyway. The whole process from marketing our home to accepting an offer through to exchange of contracts was smooth and efficient, Nick kept in contact with us throughout the process. Without doubt we made the right decision to use Nicky and Nick to market our home and now we are ready to move on to our new home.

Working with a smaller team to sell a property is much better than a bigger branch because you’re passed to numerous people as the sale progresses, but with North Estates they know exactly what’s going on at all times and what you’re after. Nicky and Nick are always on ‘your side’ and work very hard to get you what you want. You end up developing a really nice working relationship which is really refreshing.
We had a few issues towards the end and I have to say Nick went above and beyond to solve this issues which we are incredibly grateful for.
