Top work by Dave and Paul on our bathroom remodel. Completely gutted our dated, existing bathroom, including installing a new stack to change the layout of the new bathroom. Always happy, cheerful and chatty keeping us informed about what was going on and what the next day's work would entail. Being a 120 year old property, nothing is a simple task, but Dave and Paul's workmanship excelled in all areas to give us the finish we didn't think could be possible. Dave offered a very competitive price and undertook extra work (including ripping out an old lath and plaster ceiling) at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend DC Base.

Can't fault David and his team. I had a new bath, shower and sink unit installed and flooring put down, and they did some pointing outside. After speaking with David about what I wanted, I'm so happy with everything they did, it's exactly as I wanted and imagined. All very professional, tidy, and kept me informed throughout. A tip-top job done! As a single female it can at times feel a bit intimidating having workmen in your house, and although I was out quite a bit when they were working, when I was in they were all very professional, respectful, friendly and a pleasure to have around. Would definitely recommend this company.

David did a great job refitting our shower room. He outlined each stage of the work very clearly and showed me what he had completed at the end of each day. He worked consistently and tidied up at the end of every day - making a job that could have been quite disruptive to the household very easy to live with. Paul and Dave at DC Base are very professional, polite, and reliable in every matter! As a landlord with several properties, I initially hired Paul to replace a boiler a few years ago. He did a brilliant job, timely and at a very reasonable price. Many more jobs followed such as repairing bathrooms and modernising kitchens, unblocking and re-routing pipes, maintaining boilers and issuing gas safety records. Most recently, DC Base managed repairs after a major water escape underneath one of the properties – their timely response and professional repairs helped to contain the damage and saved me not a small fortune! DC Base did all these jobs at exceptionally high standard and “on time and on budget”. They arranged most of the works directly with tenants, kept them and me informed and always offered best possible solutions. The properties are well looked after, tenants are happy, and I have peace of mind as there are two safe pairs of hands at DC Base to call upon. Thank you, Paul and Dave, for all your help – much appreciated and highly recommended!

David Has recently completed an extensive re-modelling of our bathroom and toilet. Throughout the entire process both David and his team displayed a high degree of skill and professionalism. No problem was too much and they maintained a sense of humour throughout the refit. The completed bathroom and toilet has been finished to a very high level and we are extremely pleased with the outcome, in fact we are so pleased that we have asked David to undertake the complete renovation of our kitchen in March 2020. Dave has done a few separate jobs for us now and all have been to a fantastic standard - we've had a fireplace knocked out and wall plastered, laminate flooring laid and our front door painted too. Not only is the finished product good, but he is a genuinely nice guy too! Would highly recommend! :)

What can I say but David & Paul where so professional from start to finish. The water pressure was terrible and after boiler was installed, what a difference, I now have a powerful water. They cleaned up any mess afterwards and I am so delighted with the installation. What should have been a simple, straightforward job became fraught with a number of problems ranging from cabinets and appliances being delivered damaged to worktops with incorrect cut outs. Throughout, Dave and his team (Paul1, Paul2, Gaz et al) consistently provided high levels of craftmanship, always with a sense of humour, no matter what the challenge The kitchen is fully installed and looks stunning. Excellent work done! I had walk in shower and the room tiled throughout and a huge custom made mirror which is absolutely amazing. DC Base have great customer service, really polite and had time for my opinion and really listened to what I wanted. I cant recommend them enough. They will be back to do my boiler too!!

Would highly recommend to anyone, and I will be using for any future work. The completion of my bathroom was too a high standard. I was kept up to date with how the work was proceeding throughout. When I contacted them I always got a prompt reply with a clear answer to my question. As someone who hasn't done this before, I found it really helpful that they were able to make suggestions as to what would work better and look nice. In fact most of what was done was what they suggested, and I am very pleased. The end result is just what I wanted, and importantly in the making the professionalism and honesty was reassuring and of immense value to me.

Had a bathroom refurb carried out by Dave. Very straightforward to deal with and works hard to ensure the customer is happy with the end result. Any issues that are found in the process of the job are called out so the customer can make the necessary decsions. Prices are fair and reasonable for the good work that is delivered. There is a waiting list for Dave's services but the wait is worth it.

Had some electrical, carpentry and general maintenance work required for our workshop. David came out and quoted for all the work, and was happy to go through his detailed quote and work around the timescale and budget that we had. He was punctual, polite and his work was professional. David was happy to offer advice and tips on any questions we had and was always ready to help in any way he could. Very happy with his service.

David refurbished my hardwood kitchen worktop for me. Before he started work, he explained in detail what he would be doing and how long it should take. After he finished, he asked me to inspect his work and make sure I was satisfied and also gave me some quick instruction on how it should be cared for in the future. He also said that I could call him anytime if I had any more questions. The work involved a lot of sanding, but he vacuumed as he went along and and before finishing up. Inevitably, some dust residue accumulated on other kitchen surfaces, but to be honest I don't think there was any more he could have done to prevent that and, in any case, it was far less than I feared it might be. He was both professional and skilled at what he did and, importantly for me, he was easy going and personable...interesting guy to chat to. You might find someone a tad cheaper, but I would go back to him if I have any other work that needs doing. A very genuine, open person.
