I had two very good experiences renting out my house with Appealing Properties. What impressed me the most was how Damian and the team listened to me, and took the time to understand my situation and they found two very good matches in terms of tenants for me. I was feeling quite daunted by the whole letting process and Damian helped me through it every step of the way. I wanted to find like-minded tenants who would care for my home, as I do, and this was exactly what happened. I would highly recommend letting with Appealing Properties.

Appealing Properties have been managing our house in York since 2013 and we have been very pleased with their service. Damian and his team are professional in their approach, quick to reply to emails, which is imperative especially when you are far away) and efficient in their management of the property. Property inspections are carried out every three months and they take care in choosing the right tenant. We highly recommend them.

Damian and the team at Appealing Properties have been managing our flat in York for the last 8 years. Damian came highly recommended by the estate agent who acted for us in the purchase of our property and he has lived up to his reputation. He was extremely helpful when we were negotiating over the property, giving us free advice before we had committed to using him as an agent. Since then, the team has managed our property in a professional but also pleasantly personal manner. It has always been easy to make contact and they have kept us up-to-date with all the necessary information for our successful letting of the property. Any issues arising have been dealt with promptly and we have relied on the team's expertise to inform any decisions. They have found suitable tenants for us quickly, whilst efficiently organizing all the trades required to keep the flat in good order. We have been approached by other agencies trying to 'poach' our business but we are very happy to remain with Appealing Properties.

Because of unfortunate and unpleasant problems when letting without an agent I decided to put my property with a letting agent. A very close friend of mine recommended Appealing Properties and I am so pleased I took her advice. Damian always goes the extra mile to find the tenant most suitable to both property and landlord. My present tenants are just entering their 4th year. Any problems relating to the property are always discussed and approved by myself before the problem is dealt with. Never had any issues with Appealing Properties. Our first experience was being shown round a property and the agent was professional, courteous, helpful and had great knowledge of the property - extremely rare in my experience of viewings with other letting agents. The process was mostly quick and painless, we were updated throughout and have had no issues with them since signing 9 months ago. We've (so far) never been pestered by them nor had any major problems with the letting. Can certainly recommend these guys.

Having finished my tenancy with appealing properties I have mixed opinions about my time and how situations were dealt with. I never had a problem with any of the employees who worked there, with the majority being lovely and very pleasant. I also liked the way AP stored my deposit which was taken, using a third party which specialised in this. Throughout my stay there were occasions where promises were made and not kept as well as times where I thought the way other tenants were treated may not have been reasonable. As well as this, I had been asked to pay unnecessary fees alongside noticing further inconsistencies in my contract and the advert prior to signing. I moved into a rented room in a house which already had conflict between tenants and understand this put AP in a hard position so appreciate efforts which were made, and acknowledge they are not solely responsible for a lot of the issues I encountered whilst staying in this property .
