Conducted another successful rental home search for a senior executive relocating from Toronto, Canada to York, England. The brief was to find and secure a high quality, 2 bedroom, city centre, furnished apartment with secure parking. The market in York is, like so many other cities up and down the UK, extremely tight, with significant demand for the best properties. Even more so, at the top end, where supply is very limited. We managed to secure a number of viewings for the client but in the end, it came down to a toss up between a beautiful apartment at The Hudson Quarter and an equally great, riverside apartment at Ryedale House, on with Ashtons. We managed to secure second viewings on both on the same day and Ryedale House won the day! I want to say particular thanks to Chris Thompson of Ashtons who was great to deal with and fantastic throughout. Super helpful, super flexible and easy to deal with. He knows his market and made life much easier for all involved. Thank you Chris :-)

I've rented a flat through Ashtons for 1 year. While I've never previously had good experiences with letting management companies, Ashtons was very different. They were always responsive, kind, and helpful. On one occasion, I was unable to open a door in the flat because of a small issue with the handle. Though it was after hours, an Ashtons manager quickly came out and helped unlock the door. Unfortunately we've since left York, but if we ever move back, we will definitely look to Ashtons for Lettings.

Ashtons Lettings have looked after two rental properties for me since 2017. In each case they found excellent tenants, and were professional and responsive, always doing what was asked of them. I just let my property through Ashtons in York and the service was second to none. It was my first time ever letting a property and Chris the Lettings manager was most helpful in taking me through all the stages.The let was agreed in principle during the lockdown and the speed at which the viewing was done when permitted and contracts finalised was astounding. Ashtons even sorted out an excellent reasonably priced electrical contractor for me as I required some work done so that the property complied with the current electrical regulations.
