The team at Indigo Greens were enormously helpful from start to finish. They offered friendly, intuitive and practical support which was so important to us. They understood that moving from a house after 36 years is an emotional and stressful process and never tried to rush my elderly mum and dad along, instead taking time to drink tea and discuss jigsaws and gardening! Simon in particular was a rock, always available to listen to my worries and offer solid advice. Oh yes, and they sold the house in 2 days at the asking price - crucially, taking steps to be confident that this buyer was the right one and that the process moved smoothly after that stage. This service was exactly what we needed and I would definitely recommend Indigo Greens to anyone looking for an estate agent in York - they were a pleasure to deal with.

Their extended opening hours vs most other estate agents, local expertise and the friendly WhatsApp group meant we were always kept informed. What a team! From the first phone call, Simon, Emma, Izzy, Sam and all the team have been nothing but helpful, knowledgeable, caring and, ultimately, invested in the successful sale of our property. Their communication is top-notch, with a group WhatsApp as the main channel - meaning that everyone stays up to date with news as it happens. There was no question that was too small or simple for them to answer, and they even provided a caring ear on the occasions that things did get frustrating. One of the best things they did was act as a translator between the conveyancor and us as clients. Even though we're smart people, there's some legal terminology and parts of the process that just don't make sense without a little explanation. Emma, in particular, was fantastic at taking the time to help us understand what was happening and what we needed to do. Another feather in Indigo Greens' cap is their attention to detail, even with people not in their immediate team. One example was our photographer, who wasn't 100% happy with a couple of the photos they'd taken. Rather than just uploading them and settling for less than the best, they arranged to revisit our house and retake the photos. This just reinforced the excellent approach to selling houses that this team has. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Indigo Greens. They more than earned the fees that they charge, and the value for money that they offer is top notch. If you're looking for a supportive and wise estate agent, who actually cares about your sale, then commission Indigo Greens immediately.

We rented with Indigo Greens from 2019 to 2022. This was our first time to deal with an estate agent as we had previously rented directly from landlords. From the onset there were no registration charges when every other estate agent was profiteering from potential tenants before the law banned those silly practices. Going forward we were treated with respect and any of our requirements were responded to on time. Unfortunately the landlord had to sell up and we had to move but we will have no hesitation renting through them again. We hear of horror stories experienced by other tenants who rent through other agents but we never experienced any of that. Really professional bunch of guys.

The communitation is fantastic! There was so much contrast from our onward estate agent, and it highlighted to us, how we had made the best choice in picking indigo greens to list our house! From listing our house and just doing 4 viewing in one day, and getting 3 asking prices offers and talking us through picking the best choice. To helping council us though the nervous times dealing with the homebuyers reports and solicitor enquiries. When we first engaged Indigo Green to sell out house, it was because we had heard good ‘word of mouth’ things about them, they knew the area, and they were inexpensive relative to other quotes we had. I guess we had some fears that we might get ‘cheap and cheerful’ service from them as opposed to ‘Rolls-Royce’ service. But as it has turned out, those fears were completely unfounded and in fact the opposite has turned out to be true. A buyer was found within a very short time, and when we have hit the occasional tricky moments in the sale (and that has never been down to Indigo Green) Emma, Simon and Sam have been brilliant; highly responsive comms via the WhatsApp group they set up for us, really supportive, effective in their actions, and when necessary, going the extra yard on our behalf. We have probably (for one reason or another) had to lean quite hard on them and they have always been cheerful, supportive, patient and wise with their expertise. With the sale now having completed, I would recommend them to others without hesitation.
