Martins have been fantastic all the way through the process of finding tenants for my property. Just leagues above any other agency I've ever dealt with. The only ones that are human, respectful, and hold their word. Highly recommend them ! In comparison, another agency I used to be with just further down in the same street ripped me off with illegal agency fees, didn't provide a clean house to move in though they contractually agreed to it, and then didn't help when the council came after me for charges that were due by other tenants months after I left when all it would take was 1 email to the council. Anyway, these guys here are the best, go there eyes closed, they care and do it well.

Being 1st time landlords overseas I have found Martin and Co of York very professional and efficient. They made everything clear from the start and if I had any questions they got back to asap. I didn't ask for any other property management quotes as I liked the attitude and professionalism of my first contact/meet with one of their staff members. I have been using Martins for over ten years and find them to be very helpful especially when carrying out works where maintenance is concerned, finding new tenants and sorting out the general problems you have when being a landlord. The service is prompt with the minimum amount of fuss and delay enabling a quick turn round especially when the property needs re-letting. The staff are easy to get hold of, knowledgable, and helpful especially Mike Cole and Rachael Wallwork who have years of experience between them. Repairs and maintenance are by approved contractors only and have always been reasonably priced without the additional 10% fee levied to either the contractor or tenant unlike other letting agencies I've previously used. The property is always presented to a high standard to new tenants and the cleaning contractors they use are of the highest standard. It's well worth paying the monthly management fee for piece of mind, letting them take the stress and hassle of dealing with all the property issues.I would highly recommend them!
