A place to eat authentic Indian food in the heart of Aberdeen. The place is modest and unpretentious. The service was very good and the food even more so.

One of those gems of a place hidden away. The utilitarian staircase up to the entrance belies a fine dining experience. A largely vegetarian menu with a mix of South Indian street food dishes and the more traditional curry house fare. Very tasty food that will tempt you to order too much.

Went on Hogmanay, first visit for several years. Food mostly very good, nan excellent, Chettinad Masala very nice. Chopped nuts in Coconut rice were tooth-breaking hard, burnt? Very fast service. The toilets and entrance stairs/corridor (although maybe not their property?) badly in need of a refurb.

Deliciously good halal food! Lamb briyani’s meat is tender and juicy, paneer makhani goes so well with the bread (need to order separately), and while you’re there make sure to order the mango lassi — best one I’ve tasted in a good while. I ordered the lassi initially and they didn’t have enough for one full glass, but they gave me whatever’s left on the house. The waiters were courteous and provided very good service with a smile. I know where I’m going again next time for my indian food fix. Also while it’s not on the menu, you need to order the gulab jamun dessert as well. Very nice end to a good meal!

Very good Indian food, buffet lunch for 11.99 pounds. Highly recommended for vegans as well. Some dishes are veeeery spicy, watch out! Very friendly stuff, halped us with allergens. The restaurant is located in a nice area of Aberdeen, felt a bit lost entering the building but, once inside the restaurant, the atmosphere is very nice.

Great wee place and an amazing selection of curry. Staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. They helped sort out a dish that was just a touch too spicy without any weird awkwardness, it was no problem for them.

Pretty good Indian in Aberdeen. The location is quite nice, as there are a lot of pubs, yet the restaurant allows you to isolate yourself from it for a little while, as you are inside on the first floor. The staff is attentive and it can take some time until the food arrives, but that is because it is usually also quite crowded. Excellent service and food. Right in the centre of Aberdeen, just off Union St (there is also a second restaurant at Bridge of Don, which I personally haven't been to, but family have and say just as good). Shri Bheema's has an extensive menu with a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Menu can be viewed on their website. I have always booked a table as not very big. It is upstairs so perhaps not suitable for everyone (dont know about Bridge of Don) Can highly recommend.

I did a DJ Event in this place. Such a nice staff and the food was amazing. I was really surprised how much of authentic Indian food we got here. In our event, we had Egg Manchuria which is very unique that I haven't seen anywhere in the UK before. Very taste proper Indian style food (not like the other restaurants who adds colors and flavors instead of ingredients). Really pleased with taste and had a great time! I would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a proper Indian Style food.

We went there for dinner and it was fantastic, especially after lockdown was eased in May 2021as the restaurant had to be closed by 8.00pm. We ordered south indian(vada and dosa), Chinese dishes(chilli gobi, and veg fried rice) and taste was awesome with authentic Indian spice.👍😊 surely recommend a visit for sure👍

Always great food and excellent service. The Thali platter is always amazing with new dishes to try every time I have it. Lovely atmosphere, would definately recommend it to anyone who likes authentic south Indian food. And if you are a vegetarian like myself you will find they have a great number of imaginative vegetarian dishes to choose from.

Easy to walk past and miss, that would be a shame. It is just a doorway until you go up some fairly steep stairs and it opens out to a nice restaurant. The food was lovely and there was plenty choice. Service was good. Enjoyed our meal and have been back serveral times. Look out for some groupin deals etc makes it more affordable, although its pricing is on par with most other venues always good to grap a bargain.

Good, genuine Indian food and cooking. Had the buffet, and a rava masala dosa. Very little oil used, even in the biryani, and quality spices (i.e. spices with more flavour and less artificial colouring). Good service. Possibly being a little unkind in giving it 4 stars, but not exceptional, though very good, especially in comparison to the vast majority of so called Indian restaurants in the UK.

Authentic, excellently prepared Indian food. The biriyani is the best in Aberdeen I've been able to find, albeit a little expensive. The weekend buffet at £11 is exceedingly good value for money though. Unlimited access to idli and sambar, made to order dosa, naan, and a changing variety of vegeterian dishes and two meat curries each week. I had a Indian style fried chicken with sesame once that was amazing, and have never once had a bad meal here. Service is also prompt and friendly. It gets busy, so I would advise booking on Friday and Saturday nights.

“Great Food” The food here is stunning, freshly made, vegetables with a crunch, meat that melts in your mouth, beautifully spiced and a naan bread to die for. I have never experienced Indian cusine this good; try the lamb Kadai, it's amazing. The staff are tentative without being intrusive -great, i will be back.

It was quite an experience! I am foodie and I absolutely love great good and this one is such place you will have to visit once at least in your life time if you love Indian food. We ordered Tandoori chicken for starters, Lamb briyani and chicken chettinad for main course with some butter rotis, all of them were cooked to perfection and the Tandoori chicken just melted in my mouth. The Lamb briyani was out of world and don't miss this when you are here next time. Carrot Halwa for dessert deserves a special mention. Kudos to the chef and team for putting together such great food and presenting it really well too.!
