It's a nice restaurant. The quality of the food is decent, the staff were very polite, the environment is clean and well-maintained, and the prices are reasonable. There's not much wrong with it. However, the service we received was quite a demerit, as we had to wait for over 90 minutes between 2 courses of our meal. This was infinitely frustrating and left all of us feeling quite irritated and annoyed. Other than that, I would recommend this restaurant if you crave Indian cuisine in Aberdeen.

The food was amazing, the Goan curry was my top favourite. The restaurant was really clean. Only thing that has really let them down was the service being poor. It took a while before we were asked our order and we had to ask for water 3 times. We had piles of wine glasses on our table as they gave fresh glasses with each bottle, when asked to remove them we were told that it looks like we've ordered lots of drinks and they wanted customers to see this. At the end they asked if we wanted pudding or anything and we said we were fine just now, we were away to order another bottle of wine and they came and put down the bill.

We were celebrating our anniversary. Staff were a delight, john took great care of us and others made sure we were all set at appropriate intervals. The food… wow! Truly noteworthy quality and seasoned to perfection. Could not recommend highly enough. The price was more than fair, i was very happy to leave a good tip. Its my new favourite spot in Aberdeen.

Let me start off by saying that the restautant is good. The waitress held the door open for us when we left and this was nice. The food was also good which is of course a plus. There were however also bad parts. It did not make me full despite having papadons, starter and a main dish. I think that the quality and quantity is better in Monsoona. What was also a bit bad was that we asked for recommendations but the waiter did not really seem to care much and quickly responded along the lines of: You can just take that and share it as 2 All in all still good

Had a wonderful meal here. We were made to feel very welcome and the food was outstanding. We had trouble deciding as there was just too many tempting dishes on the menu and the staff were excellent, suggesting dishes to try and allowing us lots of time to decide. Great food and great service! We went to Wild Ginger based on a recommendation from a friend that lives locally. We weren’t disappointed, the food was great and the staff were fantastic. It got really busy just after we arrived (Saturday evening) but the service was very efficient, drinks orders were brought very quickly and our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended side dishes to accompany our mains. The food was delicious and the restaurant has a good atmosphere. We'll be visiting again next time we’re in Aberdeen. Highly recommended!

Had takeaway from here when visiting Aberdeen and I was pleasantly surprised. Butter Chicken and Coconut Rice was fantastic. Everyone else really enjoyed their meal too. Will definitely return and would highly recommend. Restaurant looked great inside when picked food up.

Among the best Indian in Scotland, Wild Ginger has a great selection of meals and attentive staff available. The only issue we had was booking over the phone; where it wouldn't go through but they easily made reservations when asked directly. It may also come at a steeper price but once you done there, you'll quickly see why.

We had sooooo much fun here the other Tuesday! Same as our first visit, everything we ordered was YUMMY! A large, pleasant restaurant suitable for both larger groups or more intimate dining. The service is excellent. Staff are able to recommend dishes to suit your taste. We had a selection of vegetarian dishes which were all excellent. It's not too expensive and is good for special occasions as well as regular dining. I'd be happy to try more things from the menu.

I had the pleasure to celebrate my friends graduation at Wild Ginger. At the time it was quite new and I was excited to try a new Indian restaurant in Aberdeen. We shared a few dishes and the food was simply amazing, however, what made it a perfect evening was the impeccable service. Never have I encountered such attentive and professional staff in the UK. The service was excellent and although a few waiters took care of us, all did a great job. I'm looking forward to come again.

Last minute choice for dinner. Not familiar with eating places in Aberdeen but Trip Advisor gave good reviews. We weren't disappointed. Although very busy we were accommodated at a table which had been booked for later. Still gave us plenty time to relax and eat. Waitress- Ritu and Tanim/Waitress- Ritu very efficient and attentive as was every other member of staff. Surroundings modern and clean. My only very small criticism was the background music being a tad loud and I'm deaf. However the majority may not agree. Food was excellent. Portions well balanced so that you didn't feel daunted having too much.Very reasonably priced meal for two including drinks. Hand wipes provided at end of meal with small portion of fresh fruit. This restaurant is situated in the basement. I didn't check for disabled access.

Having never been before we were very impressed by the decor and the physical side of the restaurant. The menu has lots of choice and the food is delicious. The staff are attentive and are well versed in looking after you during your meal. The restaurant is clean and well kept with staff clearing tables and sweeping the floor as needed. Wild Ginger is well worth a visit, book a table as we saw plenty of people walking in but having to leave due to all tables being booked. If you can't get a table, then the 2nd best option is to phone in and order a takeaway, it will be great food in your own home.

Wild Ginger is situated down a double set of stairs on Union Street, Aberdeen. I know people are naturally cautious about such arrangements. However, this is a well lit, welcoming restaurant with attentive staff and a wide selection on the menu. Staff are only too pleased to assist you on your options, to ensure you have a great experience of the food and flavours on offer. Our party had a Christmas night out with a difference and we were all enthused by the attention to detail and care which was no way intrusive. A recommended choice for a wonderful dining experience!

I have lived in and around Aberdeen for 6 years now and moved from Leeds (right next to Bradford, one of Britain's biggest curry hotspots) Aberdeen has always lacked an amazing curry restaurant but our trip to wild ginger proved that Aberdeen is now on the 'good curry' map! Fantastic food, large portions, friendly attentive staff even though it was really busy. All that coupled with the free aperitif of any spirit at the end was a very nice touch...(try the brandy that has a cool glass holder that suspends the glass above a flame to heat it) we will be back!

We booked this indian restaurant for the first time on a wintery evening in Aberdeen. Hadn't been to a indian eatery in a long time, so was eager to find if the menu was same old, or newish cuisine. The place was very busy, so was grateful we booked ahead. A bustling atmosphere with staff buzzing about..it was a Saturday so maybe other evenings may suit if a quiter meal is more to your taste Well the food started with a few jars of different chutneys with poppadoms..very tasty. The menu was not your usual fare, with a good few new dishes on offer, plus old favorites, all washed down with Indiana beer. The food was more than ample with 2 of us taking home meals we couldnt finish. We will definately be back and would reccomend to friends..
