Lovely and stylish cafe and restaurant. We had fish and chips to takeaway and it was delicious and really well priced. Friendly staff, portions were great and food was served piping hot, will definitely be stopping here again when we’re next in the area :)

I'm actually glad that Wetherspoons wouldn't allow us to sit outside with our dog and have breakfast. I would never have gone in there otherwise. We were allowed to take our dog inside the cafe whilst we had breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was outstanding! And very reasonably priced too! I'd definitely recommend 👌

After travelling round Aberystwyth in the rain looking for these non existent gluten free fish and chip shops, I came across this place, and while they couldn’t do battered gluten free fish ( the chips were) they did a lovely piece of fish in foil that complimented my meal. They even let me and my little dog who was under the table to sit inside and eat them with enjoyment. You are missing a trick, because if you bought a deep fat fryer just for gluten free food you would get coeliacs visiting your fish and chip shop as there isn’t another establishment in Aberystwyth Thank you

Lady who served me was very friendly. She was running around dealing with customers in a very professional manner. Had two portions of chips to take home and they are the best chips I've ever had. Looked at the menu board as they do other meals during the day and seems a good selection only issue there's no prices next to the items except the fish menu. The portion of chips was £2.60 and there was ample for two of us.

Recommended to anyone in the area, one of the best fish and chips we've ever had. Light thin crispy batter on a succulent fish, lovely chips and homemade tartar sauce, lots of other options too. Friendly staff too. Can't fault it.

Great little cafe. Went two days in a row and had a great chat both days with customers and staff. Great service. Food was good, hot and arrived quickly. Top Stuff!

Ordered 2 gluten free battered fish accompanied by mushy peas and chips plus a pot of tea for two. Service took 10 minutes and we dined in. Quality was excellent. We had originally planned to eat at the pier F&C venue but they rudely stated that they were not doing GF as planned and agreed with us on Tuesday. They did us a favour and well done this establishment.

My partner and I have ordered from here several times. The chips are very tasty, the breakfasts we have ordered from here have been great - in fact my partner bought me one whilst I was in labour with our baby! The scampi, we think, is probably overpriced for the size of portion. Also, my partner was not the biggest fan of the fish, however I quite liked it!

And the best bit was the lovely lady that served us, who spent the time to talk to our youngest son who is autistic, She was happy for him to eat his own food while we dined. Really impressed. We had intended on going to Whetherspoons across the road but it was so busy that we couldn't all fit so we ducked in here because it was really close and I'm so glad we did. We were a large group of about 13 and they opened up the bit in the back so we could all sit together and the girl and boy who served us couldn't have been more helpful! Had 15 minutes before our train (the last) and was incredibly hungry after a day at the beach with 3 young children, so we ordered here. Due to it being peak hour, it was incredibly busy (which was a fault of my own). It got to 3 minutes before departure and I had to get my family to leave to ensure they'd get home. The staff tried their absolute hardest and worked as fast as they could, but I had to leave with literally 30 seconds to spare before my trains departure. Also leaving the food behind as the last of it was just coming out of the fryer, and sprinted. I managed to just make the train with around 15 seconds to spare, turn around and there was a girl from the restaurant with our food, she passed it through and seconds later the doors closed. Thank you so much, our food was absolutely worth almost missing a train for. And your staff member is absolutely in the wrong industry! 😂

Convenient fish and chip shop, opposite the railway station with plenty of seating inside. Huge choice of meals, all the usual chip shop favourites as well as a lot of others, sandwiches, lasagne, Sunday roasts and cooked breakfasts, small, large, butcher's, vegetarian and the beast! Friendly service at a reasonable price the only down side is that there's no toilet.

Arrived late in the day searching for an all day breakfast. Turned away from 3 cafes before them as they had stopped serving food. They had also stopped doing breakfasts but still out of pure kindness said they could still do it for us but warned of a minor wait. They were so helpful they did everything for us, great all day breakfast (even at 4pm!) and fantastic coffees! Would highly recommend, thank you again to the helpful and friendly team at Express.

Deceiving shop exterior! We chose to dine at this spot as from the front it looked fairly nice. Inside, the tables are covered with plastic tablecloths and the sauce is decanted into red, yellow and brown bottles. There was not toilet on site and we were advised to go and use the toilets at weather spoons over the road! Food was very greasy and the drinks were pricey for the poor quality. Wallpaper appears to have been semi-permanently fixed to the wall and is coming away from the surface in many places. The saving grace for this place was the young (15ish) year old waitress who provided brilliant service; she was friendly, quick to serve us and advised us on ways to keep the cost down with our food orders. If it wasn't for her, I'd be providing a 2 star only rating!

I went in at 9pm on Saturday, and got the last chips. I was told they close at 10pm but refused to cook any fish. People behind me wanted chips but we're told they would not cook anymore food, just 8 small sausages precooked were available. Shame really, as enough customers wanting food with 1 hour of opening time left. Food hygiene certificate says only 1 star, worrying, however my chips and sausage was ok.

Absolutely amazing fish and chips! We sat in and ate rather than takeaway! The person who served us was really friendly and quick at serving our food! The fish and chips was by far the best we have had really light batter lovely tasting fish and chips not greasy at all. We took our dog in as they are dog friendly which was also a nice touch. Very nice fish & chips, some of the best I've had to be honest. It was a pleasant surprise to have battered sea bass, which I've never had before. The chips themselves were also very good, as was the curry sauce. We sat in, which made it more expensive, but still cheaper than most restaurants, and it made for a good people-watching spot!

Don't often pop in here but can highly recommend the chip shop and the cafe. The foods always hot and we'll presented they include a cup of coffee with the breakfast. I had a lovely bacon and egg bap my hubby had a breakfast. Both were delicious with a nice a couple of coffees. The staff here are Realy friendly and polite they certainly know how to make you feel welcome. We used to go a lot to the other cafe before it closed still miss it. Now it's nice to just pop in for hubby to get a tray of chips or brekie. He sometimes pops in on his own if he's in town without me. So go in if your passing and see what they have to offer can highly recommend the breakfast if you fancy one. And if you have a big appetite then your definitely going to enjoy eating here. I wish them all the best and hope that during these trying times their business continues to thrive. 😊
