S. D.I have eaten here several times, the lunch food, service and atmosphere have always been very good. This time we stopped for breakfast, the service and atmosphere were, again, very good. The food was not to my taste, the sausages and potato hash were a bit too spiced for breakfast, the bacon was well cooked, nice and crispy. If you are looking for a traditional full breakfast, you may be better looking elsewhere. If you want something a little different with good service and lovely restaurant, this may be more your thing.
There are good vegetarian options here.
J.My husband and I had a lovely meal of shared starters the other night. Every plate was brimming with flavour. We've been to Medina a few times now and the food is always fresh and well presented. The service is friendly and helpful and the ambiance is perfectly laid back.

The way flavours and textures of food are put together into every dish is just magnificent. The ambiance is immaculate. Really just love love love the food.
J. B.Great food, great staff. We usually go for the lunchtime special. The chicken skewers are always good and I had the vegan coconut ice cream with mango sorbet for dessert. It was a treat to be able to have something sweet and refreshing to round off the meal.

S. W.Great ideas with food combinations. Sadly this evening they didn't work. Smoked Haddock with roasted cauliflower, potatoes and poached egg became rock hard cauliflower with a little bit of fish. Eggs were great. Warm chocolate mouse cake was warm on the outside which gave you an idea of mousse and intense chocolate. However the middle was stone cold and dense. Both dishes could have been very nice if executed properly.

S. S.Wonderful experience having dinner with family that hadn’t been together in a long time. Dave our waiter was amazing, very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Food delicious, drinks were flowing. A wonderful time was had by all.

The distracting discomfort was the temperature inside the building. It's an old building with large rooms. It's a few degrees too cold. They provide blankets, but you don't really want to wrap up in a blanket, or keep your coat on to eat an evening meal.

A great unpretentious & casual venue.
P. W.A friendly welcome by the staff starts off this wonderful experience in what feels like a mixture of art gallery, market place and contemporary restaurant. The menu is modern, with a distinctly Mediterranean feel, with a wide range of options very reasonably priced. The range includes a good variety for vegetarians and vegans, and those on a gluten free diet. The food came quickly, but was obviously freshly cooked, and extremely tasty. The staff ensured our experience was good, were smiley and jokey but not obtrusive.
Accessibility for those with limited abilities is not an issue as it is all on one level, with dedicated well adapted washrooms.
I am in Aberystwyth I frequently, but will definitely make a point of dining here next time I come.

A.Booked here for afternoon tea, during our visit to Aberystwyth for our minimoon. I had forgot to request a vegetarian/fish option in advance, and despite the kitchen having already prepared our food, the staff were very understanding an accommodating, and arranged for our food to be replaced with non-meat dishes, which was very much appreciated.
The food and cakes themselves were all incredible, would highly recommend.

Tip: you must try their chicken with roast (roasted for real) potatoes dipped in beurre blanc.

The service is very good and the vibe of the place is good with its different dining rooms. Very quick and friendly service. They regularly check up on your to ensure all is well and you are getting all you need. I would totally recommend this if you are in town and you like Mediterranean cuisine.

The restaurant is relaxed and the food is amazing. I had lamb ribs off the main menu. Succulent and tasty. Accompanied by a delicious plate of hummus, broad beans and chillis. Tiggs had Butternut squash galette from the Specials Board. Beautifully presented.

We took advantage of the 11 pound set menu that allowed a main and two salads or a main salad and cummin potatoes. The food was out of this world so fresh and accompanied by two Welsh ciders this was the perfect lunch

P. B.One of the most popular restaurants in Aber. The room is very airy and bright with a vaulted ceiling. The menu is varied and always enjoyable. Staff are always attentive and pleasant. There is also an associated shop about 100 feet away that is also recommended.

However, the three salads that we chose - kale and beetroot, cucumber and roasted aubergine and goats cheese - alongside the halloumi kebab were very tasty and well put together. There was a long queue when we cans, and a long queue when we left. Very popular.

Lunch of grilled halloumi, aubergine salad and cumin potatoes was excellent and the cakes are fantastic, we didn't have them as dessert as the lunch portions are generous so we called into their deli around the corner and bought a selection to take with us, the Persian Love cake is absolutely delicious.
We called in on our way down to Pembrokeshire and make sure we stop again when we head back to Anglesey next week.

Recommend the meat platter for 2, no starter needed, and we couldn't manage a dersert either.
The wine was very good too, what not to like. Service was excellent.

J. P.A late booking and they managed to squeeze us in. Parking is on the main streets - which at the time of writing is a little more awkward as some roads are now one way and some are closed to allow other restaurants to have seating on the pavements and roads.
We arrived a little early an were taken to a seating area where we had a read of the menu. We were soon seated and chose our starters. One we knew (Whitebait), but the other was the Feta starter and that was delicious.
For the mains we had the Bream and the Ras el Hanout braised Lamb which were divine.
Managed to fit a desert in.

There is plenty of space between the tables so it feels very cosy, without people bumping into you. Reasonable prices. But it's the range of delicious vegetarian food that really makes this place special.

There were many lovely sounding options to choose from and I ended up going with my waiter’s recommendation of the chicken bastilla and it was one of the tastiest meals I’ve had in years. The chefs really know how to balance the flavors and you can truly enjoy the flavor of the fresh, quality ingredients. I would highly recommend this place!

Everything we had was cooked/prepared well & extremely tasty. Good portion sizes - especially desserts! - and priced just right for the quality, we felt. Lovely spacious, airy surroundings in the large rear room and more intimate, enclosed atmosphere in the front area. This was our first visit as we hadn't even known it was there but will definitely be going again whenever we're in Aberystwyth. Also looking forward to buying from the in-store area as the bread, fruits, bakery & store cupboard products looked wonderful.

R. N.Last night I went with my partner (for a birthday) and two friends for a meal at Medina, and I was a little disappointed.
There were plenty of positives, with the staff being lovely and warm, reinforcing their beautiful restaurant. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, and I have always loved the fresh produce walk-in display.
My first issue was with the table however, as we were wedged between the children's play area. If it wasn't for the party, I would have been more vocal. But it wasn't exactly a fine dining experience when one of our party was knocked a few times by a little girl (kids are a little clumbsy, no problem there). It sounds funny I know, and it's great that kids can have some fun whilst waiting for their boring parents to finish 😉 but please don't sit people between a children's area.
On to the food. I can only really (and fairly) speak for myself on what I had, which was a whitebait starter and fish stew main. For me, the whitebait wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was ok.
My main problem was with my main, which had a serious level of coriander involved in the dish. There was lots of lovely fish in the stew (squid rings, mussels, clams, etc..), but I couldn't taste them. My partner agreed. The stew also came with a few tiny pieces of bread. I felt like they could have accompanied this dish with some of the amazing rye bread they stock. This stew was priced at £15, which to me felt like a little too much for what the dish was. There are other expensive fish restaurants along the seafront for example, where I felt the price was fair.
Overall, we enjoyed our night, and to be fair, the other members of my party enjoyed their dishes (kebab and chicken). But I was a little disappointed with my meal. I would not want to put anyone off from going here, as I think it's a really nice place. But I personally would try a different dish.

An area for children with toys, books and colouring pencils.
Much of the cuisine has A Turkish/Lebanese feel to it, but the salads Ysbryd changed in a long time. Well rarely go, but only to enjoy coffee (I love the Cortado coffee).
But the place has gone shabby, needing quite a bit of tlc. The abstract "modern" paintings are dreadful, not complementing the decor in any way, it just looks....tired.
The one redeeming factor is that the staff are always pleasant and efficient.
c.Medina is certainly in the top 3 best restaurants in Aberystwyth. The staff are great, very polite and accommodating, the service is fantastic! Even more so thought the food... the food is exquisite! I always have a fantastic evening here. Top notch

You pass an indoor market selling vegetables as you walk through the entrance and into the main eating area. There is a bar on the left with large and small tables with chairs and benches to cater for different group sizes. The atmosphere is informal and friendly with very good table service and menus for food and drink that cater for different food tastes. I would thoroughly recommend the Medina for a meal out with friends or family.

S.This was not what I expected and I was firstly disappointed but the choice on the menu but I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and would highly recommend visiting and will return when I am in the area . We chose to eat in the main dining area at the rear of the building which was light ,bright and clean with small orange trees giving each table a delightful unique decoration as a perfect finishing touch. All the dishes and courses were delicious and not what I would choose to eat as a rule but really glad I tried and would certainly have again. The service was very prompt and staff friendly. The best thing about the restaurant had to be the dessert I chose unfortunately I don’t remember exactly what it was called but it was a kinda berry ,meringue and ice cream (Eton mess type) sundae. I have a sweet tooth and dessert is my favourite course and no matter how full I can always find room for a dessert. This has to be one of the yummiest desserts I have ever had !! And as I just explained I’ve certainly had quite a few of them. Must try if you have chance!! Excellent restaurant!!

First you will see local ingredients, vegetables, beers, wine etc for sale, and then on your right a very nice restaurant with several tables. Continue further on, and you enter a big bright hall where the food is presented and there are tables as well.
