What a fantastic restaurant.
Service was friendly, polite and efficient.
Food was great.
Location seems bizarre from the outside. It feels as though you're going to the post office, or community center but nestled among them is a wonderful venue.
It was very quiet when we arrived and it transpired that we were the only booking, this boggles my mind because it was exceptional.
Absolutely worth the trip to visit!!

Couldn't find the restaurant at first, it doesn't look very extravagant outside - it is a cafe/post office during the day and it converts to a fine dining restaurant/bistro in the evening. Good variety of options and the service was great! Really enjoyed our dinner - shared baked camembert platter is good, seared tuna and roast pork belly are both perfectly cooked. Brownie was warm and gooey. Would recommend anyone passing by to go :)

Guy, Terry and Simon came to our company retreat and cooked us a fabulous three course dinner. Everything was a wonderful experience from the set up, food and the service. The cost for the service and food was great value. If you're looking for a private chef then I'd thoroughly recommend! Thank you!

Food excellent. Staff friendly but understated. Lighting soft. Music just loud enough to mask the table next door without impacting on your conversation. Overall. Going again

We went here on Google reviews and one in particular who said it deserved to be Michelin star and the reviews weren't wrong. The food was out of this world 🌎 We can't recommend it enough. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Don't be put off with the look of the building because as you step inside, it's really nice and welcoming/relaxing. A hidden Gem! We will definitely be going back ❤

OMW, this place is wonderful. Ate in the coffee shop best poached eggs ever. Beautifully displayed eggs from a local farm, really delicious 😋. Can't wait to try the restaurant for dinner. Awesome service so friendly a must to eat at.

Had Sunday lunch at Pryd very recently with four friends, everything was excellent from start to finish.
Cannot wait to try the evening menu.
Highly recommend this restaurant.

Surprising place, hidden behind the main road, seems to be a community center which someone with a passion has taken to heart to make into an enjoyable restaurant, Food was great, chips super crunchy on the outside and soft inside, steak was near perfect, easy to slice through with a butter knife, we enjoyed the baked camembert and chocolate fondue sharing plates and the large splashes of colour from the artwork really helped to give the restaurant a pleasant and modern feel. Staff were very friendly and offered to doggy bag the food for us. Would recommend

Just had a fantastic family birthay Sunday lunch today. The food was superb and lovely attentive staff. An excellent experience. See you again soon. Diolch yn fawr iawn.

Amazing food very tasty. The atmosphere was relaxed and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. We had the Sunday lunch and found each dish was great. I had the cajun salmon as my main and a sharing fondue for pudding. Only issue was it got very hot inside. Presumably no air con but it was about 28 degrees outside this week anyway.

Called in Pryd tonight and had a first class meal. Definitely worth a visit. We had scallopes and parafait to start, 50 day mature rib eye steak on the bone to share, 😋😋 and chocolate and peanut cheesecake with ice cream, also to share. And to top it all a free glass of bubbly or a beer on a Friday evening. Lovely friendly staff to top off a perfect meal. Thank you Pryd. 💜

Five of us rode our bikes to Ferryside for lunch at Pryd y fwyd on Sunday. We were running late so we phoned ahead and they were very accommodating. It was sunny when we arrived so were able to sit outside and enjoy our starters and a drink but the weather changed so we went inside to another table for our lunch. The food was amazing - a real mix of traditional / modern / British / Welsh. The service was consistently great and, after we had left to catch the train, one of our party left their rucksack at the railway station. We called the restaurant and one of their staff went to the station, picked up the bag and kept it safe for my friend to collect. truly above and beyond level of service.
Can't wait to go back.

Excellent place. Amazingly friendly and attentive. Food is fantastic and it is dog friendly. Its worth the effort to get there folks. Best of all its open on Sundays.

Wow hidden gem never judge a book by the cover amazing food as good as anywhere ive been

I can't recommend this place highly enough! Food which would beat in any 5* restaurant, and staff which were so polite and helpful. Perfect separate seating area to have a coffee after your meal. Will definitely be back! (Choc fondue sharing platter was 😗)

Lovely surprise - big rooms, one bright with smaller tables, the other an intimate dining area with a mix of seating. Had a lovely cream tea with chocolate brownies, Bara Brith (Welsh fruitcake,) scones and jam. We had hot chocolate to drink. Friendly, helpful staff who are eager to please. I'll be back for a meal soon. Felt very happy and comfortable here. Diolch yn fawr (thank you very much.)

Excellent meal this evening on Fish Friday !
Lots of choice on the menu ...in fact choosing what to have was very difficult as everything was tempting on the tastebuds. The tuna Sashimi melted in the mouth. Would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely Sunday lunch! We were a party of 10 on holiday for the weekend. I phoned Saturday evening to see if they could fit us in and they were nothing but accommodating! Great service with a smile and the food was delicious. Any extras we wanted we asked for and got!

We went to Pryd for a meal with friends last night. Lovely seating area in the beer garden for a drink before we went into the restaurant for our meal. Very nice menu with plenty of variety to chose from. We had complimentary fresh homemade bread and water brought to the table to start. I had the beetroot salad as a starter, lamb cutlets for main meal and Eton mess as desert. All 3 dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavour. Sensible size portions and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Tables were well spaced to adhere to social distancing rules.
The menu changes every fortnight which is good as we do like to eat at Pryd quite often so there are always new dishes to try.
A hidden gem in the lovely seaside village of ferryside. Defiantly worth a visit.

My wife and I had and evening meal here last night and I have to say the chicken supreme I had was the probably the nicest chicken I've ever had. It was succulent, juicy and served on a bed of celeriac dauphinois. It really was delicious. My wife had the salmon en croute and that too was pronounced as excellent . Our starters of goats cheese tartlet and French onion soup, and desserts of creme brûlée and Eton mess were also worthy of a thumbs up. Its also just a short walk from the train station!

Guy was an absolute host... Craig is a bartender you want to see on a trip... Best place ever...

I’m afraid our food experience wasn’t quite the same as some other reviewers. The service was fantastic and they were very accommodating with our young son but the Sunday roast was pretty average with potatoes which felt like they’d been out for hours and really quite dry pork. It’s a quirky location and may just be that the weekday menu is a better shout or it’s a new chef. We felt a bit puzzled by the great food reviews, I’m sorry to say.

Stunning food,,, from outside I didn't know what to expect.. looked a little Scout hut/village hall type place.. however we were pleasantly surprised. Family of 6 and staff couldn't do enough for us. Catered for the two young children with chips and sausage, which were not on the menu, and the chips were to die for... in fact I nearly did, teach me for pinching my sons chips!
Definitely returning to this location.

A lovely setting with fantastic service, staff are warm and welcoming and helped with all of our needs.
The food is amazing and well priced. High quality and cooked to perfection.
We look forward in coming back soon.

Amazing food and service. We came here to celebrate our engagement. The food was the best I've tasted in a long time. Our waiter Daniel was attentive, chatty and made our evening special. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back if in the area again.

Amazing food and service. Would definitely be visiting again.

Amazing Sunday lunch and very reasonably priced for the quality. Fabulous roast lamb with well cooked roast potatoes and side vegetables. The service from the waiting staff is 2nd to none. Would highly recommend. Well done guys.

Brilliant service and Sunday Lunch. Menu was very good, food was very tasty and we were very well looked after by the staff. Slightly hidden away off the road but nicely decorated inside.

Not quite five stars today sadly.
Excellent meat, veg was good, gravy lacking, vegetarian member of our group got no gravy at all, extra gravy when requested (after finally getting a waitress's attention) came in a tiny thimble sized pot and I suspect wasn't vegetarian, a general lack of gravy for all at the table left us struggling with the large dry Yorkshire puddings, I feel we were heavily over charged for a risotto starter - two scoops taken as a main cost £14! Then as a parting shot it took absolutely forever to get the bill.
All in all a little improvement could make this place brilliant. You need a head waiter(ess) that's on the ball... or at least some lessons in peripheral vision.

First class food expertly prepared and served.
Excellent service and one of the best restaurants we have experienced.

That was an absolutely delicious meal, nicely presented and served by lovely, friendly staff. The lamb was beautifully cooked and tender and my medium rare sirloin steak was one of the best I have ever had, topped with a lovely rich pepper sauce.
Starters and puddings were a match for our main courses plus a good wine list.

We hired Guy and Terry to manage the catering for our wedding and were very happy with the results. Our guests loved the food and are still talking about it!

A hidden gem.
Unctuous Camembert, tuna with a depth of flavours and the best cheesecake in the world. The chocolate and peanut butter cheesecake is an absolute triumph.
Helpful staff, spacious seating and really good food without a hint of pretention. A new favourite

Top class food during the week and on the weekend, Sunday lunch is especially good, probably the best I've had. Pleasant, attentive staff in nice surroundings. Would highly recommend this hidden gem.

Lovely Sunday Lunch, plenty of it and the lamb and beef cooked to perfection. Nice choice of starters and superb choice of sweet. Looking forward to our next visits,if Covid-19 allows us to.

Never judge a book by its cover. Outside this may not look like a fine place to eat but once inside you are made welcome and it’s a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food was first class without being pretentious. Catered for us and our children. Go give it a go, we di, and loved it.

Was here for the day with work, a local recommended this as the only place open for food. Had the best club sandwich I've ever had, rest of the menu looked great too. Fully recommend

Had a lovely Sunday Lunch delivered to Carmarthen Town. 24/ May/ 20

Superb choice of veg , carrots, swedes, broccoli, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, stuffing, breadauce, and plenty of it all delivered in separate cartons, with a delicious gravy and Yorkshire puddings.
Apple crumble with custard was to die for.

You would not believe the quality of food and service that comes out of this restaurant from the chef to service staff and bar person they all do there part to make you feel welcome and at ease well done to all would definitely recommend

Brilliant food, service and background music (tasteful and relaxing). Good value for money too. It's a new eatery so be careful not to miss the signs for the restaurant (it's tucked at the back, go up a narrow road for parking).
R. R.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food ( although - I would have loved more vegetables with my main course!), fair prices, and able to completely forget my memories of it as a teachers centre and canteen!

Just had an amazing meal delivered by Pryd to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Lobster and cote de boeuf followed by lemon and ginger cotta (which haven’t sampled yet) but if it’s anything like the main it will be delicious. Thank you Guy and your team for your hard work and also for the card and flowers which is a lovely gesture and much appreciated. Glyn and Eirlys

A quality meal in a qwuirky old building. There is much community spirit in Ferryside ans eating holes like this will help to establish and maintain a very good reputation. Staff are good, competent and very friendly.
Definitely recommended
