Never had to wait more than 10 minutes for fish and chips here. Cooked fresh every time. Pity it get tarnished with the same brush as some of the other Chip Box shops in the area. Please note that this is Chip Box 1 in Penparcau and not Chip Box 4 on the sea front. Hate to see Pin ( Mike) suffer for sloppy service in another shop.

Excellent quality salt. As a salt enthusiast I am passionate about salt and, believe you me, I know where to get some of the finest quality salt in the land. No salt compares to Penparcau and I, indeed, think it should put this Mid-Wales village on the map. I therefore demand that all chip shops across the country head down (or up if you life in the south) or left, or right (depending on your geographical location) to Penparcau and try some of this salt and see what they think.

This place is without doubt the best fish and chip shop in Aberystwyth. Right on the sea front super fresh Cod, thinly battered with lovely chips, crispy outside, still moist inside, a massive portion so clean no salt or vinegar needed.

Lovely food and very good portion size. Best tasting chip shop in aberystwyth hands down. I can understand the poor hygiene rating as staff play on phones and eat while cooking food, if they could sort that out and the grubby letters on the wall this would be the best chip shop I've ever been in.

Wow, “The Chip Box”, amazing fish and chips, always drove down to Aberswyth from Portsmouth, with my job and always “held my hunger” so I can have the most delicious fish and chips ever! Great place, friendly staff, great places, very clean, very professional and most important DELICIOUS AUTHENTIC FOOD!!!!
