Reviews of The Moody Cow Farm Shop & Welsh Bistro
D. Y.
The moody cow was amazing, we left anything but moody. We came for breakfast where we got the bread and olives and a burger(if I'd have known how big the portions were I would have only got the burger!) and then we came back for dinner the same day where I had the crab linguini and the fried squid. Each and every meal I had there blew me away with the freshness of ingredients and also the taste! I can imagine you can have just about anything from this menu and walk away feeling fully satisfied. The portions are also fantastic and the price is extremely reasonable.
The decor of the place is one of the nicest I've seen and you feel like your at home when your there. The staff are some of the nicest people you'll meet and they made the experience even better than it was originally.
If you are nearby, I beg you to come and try this place out. You will thank me!

Nice little farm shop and restaurant with seating for large groups. The tables are well spaced out and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food was well prepared and seasoned- we all enjoyed our meal. Good value for money with decent portions. The staff were friendly and helpful once you were able to get their attention. The pace of service was initially slow in getting our orders in, but once that was settled everything was good. We read some terrible reviews and were hesitant but decided to try anyway and glad we came.

This fantastic converted barn restaurant is well worth visit. If you're passing through. It's a great place to stop if you're driving along the road as a break spot. And also great if you are camping in the area or staying at a local bed and breakfast. Please serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. But we went for a breakfast and were thrilled with how friendly and accommodating the staff were. Most of the space is dog friendly, but they have a dedicated area for people without dogs which I think is a great idea. The food is delicious! I had a full breakfast and a coffee and can say that it's great quality for the price. Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely going to come for lunch and/or dinner.
M. S.
Luscious lunches, brilliant brekkies, and delicious dinners! Back again and again, dog friendly, people tolerated, one of the best in Wales, if you're in the area give them a visit you'll not be disappointed

The food is good. Reasonably priced and good portion sizes. However, the service is another story.
The first part of our evening was very pleasant drinks and mains ordered quickly. Although there wasn’t enough cutlery on our table when the food started arriving this wasn’t an issue and we had a lovely main. When we decided on ordering pudding the menus were brought out quickly and all was well. It seems after this the staff had forgotten about us and it must have been around 40 minutes before anyone took our order which was only done after we had flagged down a waiter. It took another extended period of time before the desserts materialised which again only happened after we asked where they were. When the puddings did appear we had to ask for cutlery and some of the dishes seemed to be half done.
Overall a pleasant enough evening which was not ruined but definitely not enhanced by the slow service and lack of attention to detail. I think these issues could be easily rectified if the staff were slightly more attentive to the customers instead of chatting by the bar.

Very nice dog friendly restaurant. The food was very good, and the staff attentive.

We first discovered this restaurant on the way to our holiday let. We had breakfast here and it was incredible, good quality food and exceptional service. We returned on our sons birthday for their Sunday carvery and had a minor issue of our food being sent to wrong table etc. But they sorted this out beautifully and reimbursed us as an apology. Again the food was incredible. When we are down this way again, we will definitely be back!
M. C.
Absolutely nothing to complain about here. Cooked breakfast was very nice. Staff were friendly. Bright and airy space overlooking the lake. Great all round. Can't wait to try the campsite. There is also a full bar and farm shop with some very tasty, mostly Welsh, treats.
L.
We loved eating here! Great food and good value for money. We enjoyed it so much we booked to go back for Sunday lunch which was fantastic. You won't leave hungry! The little shop is great, the pasties and pies are huge, delicious and reasonably priced. Would return here for sure. Definitely worth a visit but book ahead!

We visited The Moody Cow twice while we were on our holiday in Wales this week and I couldn't recommend enough. The waitresses are super friendly and always welcoming everyone with a smile. The food is always freshly prepared and tastes amazing. The Moody Cow is super dog friendly too our large 2 dogs were allowed inside when we had our dinner. And also there's little shop with local products ( hand made soaps, sea salt, cooking oils, wines and more)
S. T.
A nice experience overall, we'll definitely come back 👍'Was lovely to meet Tom their resident Cat 🐱 too 😀
A. H.
Absolutely amazing experience. Amazing food and brilliant service. My family was greeted warmly and seated. Drinks ordered and enough time given to peruse the menu. The food was freshly cooked and the taste was amazing. The jumbo fish finger sandwich was perfect. I would highly recommend The Moody Cow.
J. G.
We got two takeaway Sunday lunches which would have got 5 stars if it wasn't for what was probably the worst Roast Potatoes ever! Absolutely rock hard in the middle and soft and mushy where the crispy skin should of been. One of mine was actually a whole, peeled Potato that the "chef" couldn't even be bothered to cut up.
The rest of the food was really nice but please PLEASE teach your kitchen staff how proper Roast Potatoes should be made.
H. C.
Booked for an evening meal for two, and everything was spot on. Table was ready on arrival, our orders from the great selection of dishes on the menu arrived surprisingly fast and the food and beer was very nice. There is currently building work which looks like they are tripling the size of the restaurant which shows they must be doing well, but this didn't impact our enjoyment of the meal.
C. F.
Absolutely fantastic! Very friendly welcome by a singing waiter!!Food was excellent quality and very good value for money. All the staffected were friendly and attentive. Great music and atmosphere. Definitely recommend and we are booked to go again.
J. C.
Our meal was for Sunday lunch, we had great food it was very tasty. The downside was that our table was forgotten alot. I don't think that anyone knew who was responsible for serving us.
So it took a long time for our orders to be taken. We also had to wait for vegetables because they were also forgotten. But we did receive an apology.
Even though the service was not up to scratch I would definitely recommend it and go back again.
A. C.
Had a fantastic meal here great choice of meat seafood and vegetarian options, service was 1st class would highly recommend
M. W.
We walked in and they kindly squeezed us in for earliest sitting.
Pork belly, lasagne and lamb burgers big hits. Recommend pork belly ++++.
Friendly service, delicious milkshakes and very good food in an informal family friendly atmosphere.
Definitely recommend (booking in high season Definitely a good idea)
K.
It was our 3rd visit last night and excellent every time. We've had 2 evening meals and 1 Sunday lunch here. Staff are really friendly and make you so welcome. The food is superb, love it here. Well done guys.
D. S.
Great place to relax with friends over a cup of coffee or even a hearty lunch with a glass of wine. Recommended.
E. J.
Stayed for two nights and had an excellent meal. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the side salad and dressing was divine.
Will definitely return.
Could do with a barrel of Real Ale but Guineas was good 😉
S. C.
Prompt and friendly service, perfectly cooked burgers and a great range of hot and cold drinks. We were too stuffed to sample anything from the dessert list, but maybe next time...
Very enjoyable and one to be repeated at the earliest opportunity 😀
D. T.
Booked for out Saturday night dinner, very glad we did as it was extremely busy but we'll staffed and service wasn't slow. Food was delicious and would definitely recommend a visit if in the area. Almost contemplating going for New Year's!!
C. M.
How this place has changed! Wonderful service, really happy atmosphere and the food was spot on! Absolutely delicious lamb burger. Can't wait to go back again!
T. N.
Fantastic venue, loved the interior, attentive staff, best if all the food was lovely! My daughter said ‘it was the best salmon she had ever had!’ And that includes top London restaurants ! Well done and we’ll be back !
C. C.
Dropped by while we were on a getaway, our initial thoughts were that it had a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good food choices.
We had the rarebit burger and lamb burger, we were definitely full after our meal, it was great.
We went back the day after for lunch and sadly did not get the same experience, the lady who greeted us grab some menus and walked off without saying anything so we awkwardly followed.
we ordered two milkshakes, which were thick and gloopy and two wraps one deep fried halloumi with a spicy tomato salsa sauce and the other bbq southern fried chicken. These were both just okay to be honest nothing special. we had chips on the side which were fairly soft and not overly tasty and onion rings which were the best thing we ordered.
The lady who gave us the bill was perhaps the friendliest face from this visit.
L. C.
What a lovely place! Staff are so accommodating and friendly and food is amazing which also has a variety of gluten free options. Will be coming back here regularly. The resident cat Thomas is also a bonus!
E. W.
A fab little find. Perfect for entertaining the children. Lovely atmosphere, indoor and outdoor play area and inexpensive. Will certainly return to sample the menu. Would highly recommend a visit.
R. S.
I'd heard two things about the Moody Cow; that it is good, and that it is expensive. Only one of those is true - it's not at all expensive and it is really, really good. We came here for a late lunch whilst our daughter was at a party in the Moody Calf play barn (also good apparently). We both had what was described as a crusty roll with bacon, brie and cranberry. Roll really doesn't do it justice - it was more like a small loaf packed with proper old-fashioned bacon, loads of brie and just the right amount of cranberry. There was a 'slaw' and a pile of nicely-dressed salad too, all for the price of a normal small panini anywhere else. Add to that a great selection of drinks including a few bottled local ales; I had Evan Evans Cwrw and my wife had Gower Gold - both were great. The service was a bit of a shambles (no cutlery, drinks left on the bar) but the food was so nice and the staff so friendly that it really didn't matter at all. We don't live too far away but we've always had trouble getting a decent lunch down the coast. We won't struggle again, we'll just come straight to the Moody Cow. If I could give it more than five stars I would.
M. J. (.
Bloody fantastic. Called in on a whim and ordered the Welsh chilli with pasta. Absolutely amazing. So tasty, lots of it and not a bad price either. Highly recommend and dog friendly too 😁😎
r. f.
A very busy farm shop, accommodating staff, we only went for coffees and cake but the selection was limited, but the Sunday lunch they were serving looked good and large portions
D. i.
Friendly service, great atmosphere and great food.
Also onsite is the farm shop.
Well worth dropping in for a drink, a light bite or some dinner.
j. k.
The moody calf soft play is such a great place to take the kids. Really reasonably priced, the food is really good and the kids love the soft play.
J. H.
Came here whilst on holiday with my partner for his birthday. The staff are absolutely lovely and the food was amazing!
L.
Beautiful little spot to stop for a bite, good variety on the menu plus it's pet friendly and it's really cosy too.
C. H.
Good food, staff & atmosphere and great music from the Welsh Whisperer
C. B.
In our opinion this looks like a great place to stop on a journey or if on a holiday nearby, super friendly staff giving us lots of information.
M. F.
We came to the moody cow for my birthday meal. My friends and I were very happy with meal. The service was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful time. Will be back again soon. Well done
P. R.
AMAZING place.
Location is amazing,
Loads for all the family and staff are extremely nice and helpful
Dog friendly place.
K. S.
When we stay at Bargoed camp site, we always make a least 1 or 2 reserva here. You do need to book your table, the staff are friwndly and very helpful. The atmosphere is great and the food is exceptional. A must visit if in the area
S. C.
We had the mixed grill, and the swordfish both of which we very good, and my wife had a desert which was very big, for some reason they don't do starters which is a little strange. Service was ok, but I appreciate that places are struggling to have enough staff or they could be new so I won't hold that against them.
S. R.
Lovely friendly place, good food, lovely surroundings,
Dog friendly.
N. J.
Good Food In a beautiful setting.
Plenty of parking, makes it a good meeting point.
G. J.
Quite a small shop.
Unfortunately on our visit one of the refrigerators was broken so choice was limited..
Prices seemed a little high.
I was disappointed with the selection of food on offer.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Not sure if there is enough there for a return visit to the shop, but might try the restaurant. That did look good.
E.
What a lovely local farm shop. Breakfast of very good quality and filled us right up! Homemade hash brown was so good. Would of liked to of tried the restaurant in the evening it was very busy!
R. B.
Lovely food. Went there with 6 people and everyone commented on how good each dish was.
E. B.
Fabulous breakfast! We arrived as a party of 8 with 2 well behaved dogs and the staff could not be more accommodating even though we hadn't booked
Lovely little farm shop too.
B. E.
Popped in on the off chance of a table restaurant was full but the kind lady in charge managed to squeeze us in with a table for 2 in a cosy corner ...we had the belly pork and it didn't disappoint it was scrumptious and very reasonable in comparison to the prices of restaurants in the area..well worth the visit and planning on popping back soon
H. S.
Excellent place, dog friendly and waitresses are extremely nice. Only thing i would change is music, but it was not aggressive so ok anyway.
G. K.
First time we've been since renovation has been finished, wonderful decor,me and wife had the beef roast,OMG the best beef I've ever had, plenty of veg&mash and 4roasters😁, beautiful food, friendly polite staff, only thing we didn't like was our table, very cramped, but we made do by shifting things about,we had to dish out veg, give bowl back to waitress and then she brought our mash,I had my pint on a shelf next to table as I my of knocked it over if on our table, our table was number 25, but it didn't spoil our meals and will definitely be back very soon, compliments to the chef's ❤️
C. G.
Dog friendly but only in certain areas, good food, wasn't impressed with server who bought food out kept reaching over everyone on our table to pass food over which wasn't ideal & not sensible, waitress was friendly.
S. D.
A true gem of a bistro, fantastic service and steak to die for, never had the pleasure of eating steak so fine. Lovely location, friendly staff, couldn't ask for more.
P. A.
Popular place, lovely layout and ambience, interesting menu. Service started off prompt and efficient but slowed down a bit during the course of the meal.
E. S.
Great food, and very reasonably priced, but the service was a little lacking despite lots of staff mulling around.
M. D.
Great little find, restaurant was absolutely fantastic, food was great and the fact they let your dogs in when booking was even better, highly recommend this place to anyone
c. h.
Family Sunday lunch. Good choice of food for vegetarians (other than nut roast or nothing)
Staff very efficient and welcoming, premises very clean and tidy, food and service very good.
R. A.
Stunning and faultless Sunday Lunch. Piping hot, warm & cosy, very welcoming friendly staff. Highly recomended

Really lovely large restaurant! Nice atmosphere nice staff ! Great food great drinks ! Just perfect
C. N.
Stunning food! Such a lovely place. Definitely worth a visit!
A. B.
A party of 7 went for lunch to celebrate my birthday. We were seated around a dining table with comfortable carver chairs. We all chose different dishes and each dish was well presented and delicious. The whole lunchtime was very enjoyable.
L. M.
Such a lovely atmosphere, generous portions and friendly service. Would definitely go again!
M. S.
Lovely atmosphere, staff were fantastic and food was very nice. Kids portions were great and the Swordfish was lovely.
J. R.
It wasn't very busy but the service was a little slow. Once the food and drinks came it was all very nice.
G. W.
Amazing. Dont be fooled by exterior appearance. Food was fantastic. Not the cheapest place in the world , but quantity and quality prevails. Ordered a mixed grill. Now i have paid £20 for one in the past and been left hungry afterwards. £27 in the moody cow and struggled to finish worth every penny. Steak was cooked to perfection. Sausage was the best ive had. Pork, gammon and lamb aswell. Would highly rea visit if you are nearby.
g. m.
Called by chance for evening meal. Quickly seated and served with drinks. We ordered 1 lamb burger, 1 beefburger. Both were served in 5/10 minutes. Quite good quality burgers with nice salad accompaniment and chips. We enjoyed our meals. Good car park. Close to bus stops with regular service. Camping, touring caravans and glamping all catered for.
There is a barn for childrens parties onsite.
Outdoor seating, kids play area , a purpose built wedding venue, a licenced bar, a farm shop and quite often live music is performed.
J. E. (. c.
Great meal Dog friendly too!
Very friendly & attentive staff.
Definitely will return.
Highly recommended
K. D.
The only place to eat in this area that has a varied menu that wasn't egg chips and beans which appears to be the norm in that part of Wales, great service very popular you must book well done
S. F.
Food was great great place great people great wine.
J.
Not cheap but then who wants cheap these days quality first. Great staff. You have to try it out. Book early tho..
A. G.
Brilliant cafe, we visited for breakfast and the value for money was excellent, my partner has a big appetite and he struggled to get through the whole breakfast. They do offer a vegetarian breakfast but not sure there's anything suitable for vegans. Lovely setting with outdoor seating overlooking a pond and a big marquee on the back of the indoor cafe to provide additional seating. Dog friendly inside and out although there was a cat wandering around so just be aware of that if you have a cat reactive dog. Staff were really friendly and helpful too. Would highly highly recommend.
C. W.
Excellent service, amazing food, very reasonably priced.
J. C.
Lovely soup of the day, would recommend. Big place, plenty of seats good service
d. h.
Love the farm shop. All staff are very friendly and helpful well worth a visit food fantastic and a lovely cup of tea.
S. J.
Beautiful food, dog friendly and amazing staff. Very cute shop with really unique gifts
G. J.
Great place friendly staff and amazing food at good prices nice farm shop and butchery and campsite
C. H.
This has to be one of my favourite places to visit. I have been here twice and my third time was even better. I stopped for a cup of tea and a piece of carrot cake which was delicious. The only thing that could be better was the service as it was a little slow, other than that I would definitely recommend.
g. h.
Excellent staff and excellent service. Congratulations to the owners Geraint and Chris Thomas on setting up such and excellent establishment.
M. B.
Nice family run business, excellent food, good choice for all the family
H. H.
Great food and lots of it, a great of selection on the menu, and all the staff are most helpful, even have live entertainment on a Saturday evening.
B. B.
We spotted this place whilst driving to our holiday home. We managed to book a dinner reservation and wow. The food was absolutely amazing. Best food we have had in Wales for our whole trip. Staff are very freindly and helpful. You can tell all the food is fresh made with great quality ingredients. Highly recommend you order anything from the menus as our party had moat of the mains and desert menu and it was all fantastic. Wish i could give it more then 5 stars.🌟
M. M.
Beautiful indoor softplay, plus small outdoor area too. Food was delicious here too! Very clean, tidy and well presented place!
J. S.
Great find for us as a party of 8 with 2 little dogs in tow. Great breakfast!
J. H.
So disappointing. Visited one morning for breakfast and were told upon arrival that it would be a 20 minute wait for food. After an hour wait we were told that they had simply forgot about us (despite us being sat at the table adjacent to the counter). It's a lovely building, in a lovely area, the staff were very friendly, and the food was good when it came, but I'm afraid it wasn't a good experience for us. In fairness, I'd happily return
G. M.
Nice homely feel. Staff friendly and attentive. Food very good and good size portions. No complaints from me. Will definitely go again
t. m.
Great food, huge portions! Nice farm shop to.
E. W.
Cafe is bliss, and not too expensive. Accessible to the cafe and farm shop aswell. Really great local produce, I especially love the meat and veg sections but they have so much good stuff here.
T. L.
Excellent service.Pleasant staf.Lovely food. Will recommend to all frends and relations.
P. V.
The service and food was wonderful. The staff were friendly, without being intrusive. When the food arrived, it was hot and very good value for money. We will certainly be going back there. Thank you.
c.
Very disappointed in the food, the steak I ordered was chewey and hardly any taste to it, even after being cooked medium. My wife ordered the chilli, which came very dry, to which most was left. The staff on the other hand were very friendly and nice. Maybe it was just an off moment when we went, I'm not sure, but for me personally, I wouldn't go back.
p. j.
Nice place, dogs allowed . Great staff .Food was very good. Book ahead if you can as seems to always be busy. Will visit again
L. C. J. C.
Amazing food and restaurant, staff are fun and eager to please. Small play area for the children to play in while food is getting prepped. Good choice of pudding too, we would certainly return.
It was wonderful to see farm animals outside too.
S.
Lovely food and even better service !
Will definitely return.
A. B.
Food and service were good but prices were expensive
D. S.
Great food, lovely setting and friendly atmosphere. Welcomed the dogs as well, perfect 🥰
I. W.
What a find, place is really nice, staff very friendly and pleasant and the food was amazing.
J. P.
Was great but. Waited ages for a beer then waited ages for food.
The young waitresses were amazing the older one had a face like a long wet weekend.
E. J.
A breakfast meeting with colleagues. This place is a little gem,.on the outskirts of Llwyncelyn. At the height of the season I was worried that the place would be full of tourists and that we wouldn't get a seat. Nice to see the place busy but yet calm. Food is as ever superb, there is no other way to describe it.
I don't often give 5 stars unless it has that something extra, this place has.
a. b.
We had a great time at the farm on Saturday me & the kids went paddle boarding with Rusty for an hour and the younger one had a great time in the Moody Calf soft play. We had a lovely lunch and tea & cakes. Fantastic place to visit.
A. J.
I've been waiting months to get in here to eat we've watched it grow I live all the furnishings it's so well presented .the food well. What a disappointment .the breakfast was so so but the Sunday dinner was not the best ! The meat was hard the gravy was thin and tasteless .2 tiny chewy roasties no peas for the kids and we weren't even able to buy extras for the kids like Yorkshire's or roasties .I'm so sorry I won't be back I was so looking forward to it 😔 we spent a fortune not to enjoy 😑
C. S.
Lovely place, just had a coffee but would definitely recommend & return. Dog friendly
S. R.
Great Bistro, warm and clean fab food and friendly staff
r. k. h.
Great find for us, amazing service, breakfast was ample and so tasty, tea was gorgeous... highly recommended. Toilets were immaculate as was pretty much everything, we had a little walk around the campsite afterwards and was very impressed with what we saw....
S. D.
The place has amazing views, and the setting in side is rustic and homely. The food wad amazing! I had cod and chips, I'm fussy when it comes to battered fish, but it was so delicious and crispy. The service was top notch as well. Will definitely be retuning!!
K. S.
What a lovely site ,staff aee lovely here toilet facilities are outstanding and super clean 😊and we will definitely be coming back again and best of all it dog friendly perfect place to come for a little get away next time we will definitely have to get a hottub pitch. 😊
M. X. L.
The food was absolutely fabulous. We had cockles and cod, and both were delicious! The place is family oriented and small kids can play inside or watch the pond for fish.
R. T.
My first visit and will definitely be going back. They have really worked wonders. The food portions are really good, nice local produce being used and up for sale. Plenty for the littles ones to do also. I think a fishing lake is also being made so even more to do here.
N. T.
Service has improved greatly although one meal came with sauce that was requested without and the garlic mushrooms were too spicy with other ingredients than garlic and inedible
a. t.
Lovely food and lovely staff. Bonus is dog friendly 💗
L. I.
Lovely cooked dinner. Beautiful place to eat
S. B.
Fantastic white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. Very friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly. Dressed ready for Santa! We will certainly return. 😃
P. M.
Food was excellent the staff were very friendly, we were a bit apprehensive with previous reviews, but we have to say that our experience on our 2nd visit was excellent, we were aware of 1or 2 guests were complaining, but to be honest, we thought that they were professional mourners, all in all don't be put off with all you see on their comments page
👍
F. B.
Bit noisy as extending facilities but lovely food, attentive staff.
p. b.
Beautiful breakfast and great quality enjoyed by all the family
G. J.
Been driving past this place for a few months wondering what the Sunday lunch would be like .
Don't hesitate to book it was delicious:)
Will be returning.

Llangammarch Wells is no where near here. But it was in Llangammarch Wells that I first heard of The Moody Cow. Tales of delicious food, great views and ice-cream, abounded.
Time passed. The sun shone. The sea of Cardigan Bay threw out shards of reflected light for those who cared to look. The long-lazy-swell waited its opportunity.
We buzzed along the coast road in my trusty bright red Beatle. A bumble bee of ridiculous proportions, searching for a suitibly pollen filled flower upon which to gorge.
The Moody Cow reached out and drew us in.
Greated by a homely atmosphere and friendly staff, Thai Green Chicken was ordered by True Love. I went for a steak pie. Both were wonderful.
The Spanish waitress was a delight, alas however, there was simply no room left for pudding. I was full to the brim.
A wonderful place to which we will certainly return.
Later, I walked to Aberaeron and stood on a huge bank of pebbles, looking out towards the horizon, the sea at my feet.
The Long-Lazy-Swell caught sight of me and raised a wet, splashy hand, in acknowledgement and commiseration.
J. M.
Amazing meal! Definitely will be back again
M. D.
Great food and a lovely place
J. J.
Lovely breakfast.... had pancakes on both occasions..... got different amounts each time? Others in the party enjoyed full cooked breakfast
R. C.
Couldn’t fault the place, groovy atmosphere and chilled vibes. Perfect for a date or to go with family. Thank you moody cow, bhudda bowl was banging 🤙🏻
S. F.
Called today on our way home from a mini break. Lovely staff, food was amazing and setting was awesome. Think we'll have to take some grandchild next to go into the moody calf. Would definitely call again when were in the area xx
A. J.
Had Sunday lunch, just delicious, plenty of veg and very tasty gravy. Good service. Just perfect when staying onsite. 🤩
M. C.
Good food and lovely friendly staff. Sure it's a great place in normal times. But as another reviewer has said, a potential Covid hotspot.
When we visited on 12 September 2020, there was a signing in book and notices, but otherwise seemed business as usual. Everyone had to congregate and order at the bar, and many customers weren't bothering with wearing masks.
One-way flow in place was pointless in practice. Other customers were entering passing the same bar one way, with others going the opposite way to the toilets.
Tables don't seem to have been spaced at all, two right next to the bar and by busy door with people constantly passing right next to them. Waitresses weren't wearing masks. Staff didn't seem empowered to enforce and remind people. Doubly risky as on campsite with people gathering all four corners of the country. All common sense stuff. Have written to raise concerns as we felt really uncomfortable, but no response as yet (23/9/20).

Ten years ago tho Moody Cow wass a fun filled place to stay for holidays etc. Since the onset of the Coronavirus and pandemic it has, due to the inflicted health issues and security measures that have been put upon the activities of the Park and the staff, things have slowed down. I'm convinced that in the future the numbers of holidays booked and the amount of fun and laughter will return.

Always an excellent welcome and an outstanding meal whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The Farm shop is second to none all local produce plenty of parking. Lovely staff.
M. B.
Not bad. But not cheap. Can only eat in their garden if you buy in the cafe. Products from the shop not as nice as I'd hoped.
R. H.
Had a great week here, fantastic having a pitch with hot tub, friendly helpful staff , lovely well cooked food, and a very well stocked farm shop. Loved having breakfast delivered to our caravan , we will definitely be back again,
D. W.
Based on the shop this was fantastic, selling artisan cheeses, pickles, chutneys and jams. A small amount of basic supplies if you are camping and fantastic local meat such as sausages and burgers and tomahawk steaks.
R. R.
Great food with a good choice on the menu
A. F.

Great farm shop and nice pub/restaurant. Food always first class and staff friendly and obliging
S. E.
Food and service excellent, but was let down by noisy children allowed to run around the restaurant. Would have awarded 5 stars otherwise
N. M.
Really great shop and restaurant experience. Covid safety such as social distancing, gel stations, and mask wearing really good especially compared to the poor and unsafe supermarket experiences of late. But of couse, Morrisons, Tesco's etc have power. Will happily be back to The Moody Cow farm shop and restaurant very soon (unless I catch Covid first in a large supermarket first).
T. T.
Not as good as I hoped, but OK, in my opinion social distancing not up to scratch. I know it has signs, n track n trace, but we 6 felt too many people, not enough distance, everyone orders at the bar.
In defence it was a Help out to Eat out day, So they were at capacity.
A. D.
