July 22: Lovely shop with good quality produce. The tortilla and croquettes were very nice. Great wine selection, the house white was lovely. Staff were friendly. There is limited seating for groups to eat in. Maybe something could be done with the seating at the back to cater for this.

Foody's paradise by the sea. Spanished-themed deli with every wine, spirit and delicacy from Iberia imaginable. At the back of the shop you can sit at stainless steel counters to be served by friendly staff. The coffee was particularly excellent while the mollette, impanada and fritters served with aioli were outstanding. The range and quality of produce is amazing. Definitely a gourmet gem of Aberystwyth!

Gorgeous little deli. Really cosy inside and a couple of tables outside. We sat outside as we had pup with us. Service was great, very friendly. Nice pace. We had some crab croquettes, chorizo in sauce, bread and olive oil and balsamic. Kids had croissant and toated sandwich with serrano ham. Delicious sherry in a lovely glass. Chilled out, relaxing lunch. Good job.

What an amazing place!! Only stopped in town for a quick visit and this was the first place that caught our eye after parking on the promenade. A very attractive window display lured us in… and oh boy!! This place has the most amazing selection of Spanish produce!! Blown away. All presented in the most colourful way, with every shelve a temptation. If you love Spanish food, this place is a must visit with every nook and cranny filled with delights. I also must add that the staff here were very welcoming, attentive and ready to show you around. There’s an obvious pride in working here, and quite rightly too.

What a wonderful lunchtime experience! Yes it was drizzling, and yes we sat outside under the awning; but the staff's welcome and the food and the drink were superb. If you appreciate high quality dining and a little touch of Spain in an otherwise wet welsh town, look no further.

Can't lie, still OK, but does not live up to former glory. Too many wine and vermouth bottles stacked everywhere, eating only on bar stools looking at green walls with food splatters and only 5 warm tapas on the menuw the evening I was there. Sorry, does not rock my boat. Apart from salt cod fishcakes, the fish dishes were cold from tins. If you like cold tapas, it's fine, and their cheese section amazing. The house red and the staff were were both pleasant.

Called by for late-ish lunch; staff hugely helpful and warm, and my smoked ham sandwich terrific value, the ham thickly layered on lovely bread. The deli shop also a treat, with fabulous cheeses, multiple sherries and broad range of delights. A memorably excellent experience.

Absolutely loved It, tucked away so only just found it. If you Love, cheese, olives and wine. Visiting here is a must (2018/2019). Been back a few times now, and the table layout has changed, just one in the middle but the same seating around the sides. More wine on display now. Super yummy spot, definitely will return. Grazing plate was excellent, bread was amazing. Pane con tomate / jamon delicious and all the other tapas dishes we tried were super fresh and tasty. Friendly service. 4 top in back dining area is not super comfortable but not a big deal as the food is top notch. Tranquil spot out of the seaside crowd including nicely stocked shop up front to pick up provisions. Cheese selection looked amazing. Wished we'd picked up a bottle of vermouth.

If you like sharing an ENORMOUS round table with people you dont know, then this is the place for you. The choice of food is good and the front 'deli' part of the building is remarkable for its choice of good quality foods (including plenty of testers/tasters to try before you buy)

For the last 10 years, I've walked past this place without a second look, why oh why did I make this mistake. Just over 4 pound for an incredible sandwich miles appart from anything else you can buy locally, served by some of the friendliest staff you can ask for. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

We stumbled across Ultracomida and popped in for a browse. What a find !! A real gem for authentic Spanish produce. We only left after enjoying a relaxing glass of wine and purchasing a bag full of a variety of excellent produce. To top even that the staff were welcoming and friendly. Will revisit time and time again.

What a find!! A Spanish deli, but also a fantastic cafe, bar, place to enjoy basque dishes!! The staff were amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee and ‘postres’ were excellent and then we noticed the vermouth tasting board and the many bottles of other vermouth. The only unfortunate part was that it was already 3pm when we got there and at the moment they close at 4!! And so, we were unable to try out the menu as we had already filled up with cake, almonds and ‘vermut’. Can’t wait to go back and dip in to the menu and extensive collection of Spanish wine The deli too had an amazing collection of cheese (Spanish and welsh) and olives, as well as copious amounts of Spanish dry goods What a find!!

Yup. I now review cheese/deli shops. Went in for a look around. Came out with 2 blue cheeses. The very helpful lady in the shop recommended the strongest blue cheese in the planet so we bought some. And she was right. It's been 5 days and we still have it. The Colton Bassett was gone by the next day though. Excellent cheeses, but even wines, meats and gins.

A treasure trove of yum! We called at this fantastic deli to pick up some nibbles for supper. They have a superb selection of continental and Welsh cheeses, meats and jarred / canned goodies. My husband especially enjoyed the local Tysul which is a great compliment as he’s not a huge blue cheese fan! Very friendly and helpful staff - go visit and treat yourself!

I really enjoy eating at this restaurant. The food is always original and good quality. Dining layout is two large communal tables and a long side shelf, which would not be everyones cup of tea but it does work once you settle in. Service is quick, friendly and efficient. The only downside is it can be too popular and packed during the all important 12-2pm period. Well worth a visit.

We've had lots tapas on our travels but this is right up there with the best. Larger than average portions so you may not want to order too many at the start. Good selection gins I've never heard of which is saying something. Super staff lovely anbiance and amazing deli at the front. If you like proper food you must come here.

One of the best deli's I've had the occasion to visit. Products mainly focus on Spanish origin but some Welsh cheese are sold. It would take a good hour to decide what cheese you want, such is the selection and quality available. Take away food is fantastic worth a massive selection of mouth-watering paninis. Since the lockdown they've removed the indie seating area and utilised the space to enlarge their wine cellar, boasting a huge selection of fine wine. In my opinion the prices are quite reasonable, particular for the quality. I've always thought the takeaway items to be marvelous value. A trip to town is incomplete without calling in here!

A hidden gem on a side street near the Castle, that we discovered on a day trip to Aberystwyth. Had coffee and churros with an amazing chocolate sauce. Also bought olives and a Spanish blue cheese. It is an Alladin's Cave of all things Spanish cuisine.

Been here twice whilst visiting our daughter at Uni, this is a really welcoming Tapas style restaurant, food excellent. The only problem being is the equally good deli that you have to go through to get to the bar area - you end up buying great cheese, meat and bread on the way out.

Wonderful little gem with deli, shop and restaurant.. They do amazing takeaway baguettes, tortilla and sometimes paella, all super cheap (under £5). Always very generous with the ingredients. The shop is on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for as the quality is superb. Fantastic selection of cheeses, olives, wine, almonds and all kinds of Spanish delicacies. Never been in the tapas restaurant but I've heard it is also excellent. Staff are always super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for more really.

All we tried was good, breads (all of them), cheeses (here is a good selection of cheeses, not only from Spain, some cheeses shop in France could be jealous), dry sausage, dry meat... With Welsh grandparents I’ve been going to Aberystwyth for the last 32 years of my life and this is the best place for some tasty lunch or dinner! When it arrived in Aberystwyth a few years back it became my father and I’s go to place. I cannot speak highly enough of the people that work there, the restaurant food and the availability of food to buy for home. Go go go!

We came across this place due to a recommendation from another restaurant that was full. What a great recommendation! I loved this restaurant, it's tapas, or small plates as it's sometimes called, and every dish we had was excellent. An added bonus was a child's menu, that to be honest I was jealous of. Me and my partner have been coming to Ultracomida for over a year now and we really love it. The friendly atmosphere is great, the staff are lovely, and the free olives at the start of the meal are the best olives I've had in Aberystwyth! They have a seperate gluten free menu which is great for me as I'm gluten intolerant. I just wish they had a few more vegetarian and gluten free options, but the tortilla is nice and that's what I usually go for. Definitely recommend although maybe book ahead as sometimes it's quite busy.

Nice place if you're looking for mediterranean food, great things from Spain. You can buy for home or you can be served inside. Quality is good and there's a nice assortment and variety of drinks and products. Price is a little bit high, but worth it.

I've now been a number of times to this small but very successful, tucked away restaurant in the back of a delicatessen on Pier St, Aberystwyth. Family style dining, join others at a large circular table or sit up to the bar. Tapas is all prepared with fresh ingredients together with the shop's own top of the range Spanish products. I always over order, dishes are great for sharing and come with fresh crusty bread and olives.

Food is delicious and done in a very authentic Spanish tapas manner. Service is good. Deli stocks the best range of cheeses and meats in the area, along with assorted Spanish specialties. Has a lunch panini/sandwich service which makes some of the best I've ever tasted. A regular drop in for me.

This is a very different place. The front is a Spanish deli and the back of the premises is a Spanish restaurant/tapas bar. Some fab food and a great selection of drinks, especially gins. My only mild criticism would be the seating arrangements. High stools and a surface facing away from the room (staring at the wall) or large shared round tables seating 10-12 people, a tad impersonal if a couple or a family I would suggest? The quality of food, drinks & service cannot be faulted though.

Between my father and myself we ordered around 6 plates of tapas to share and it was all utterly wonderful. The chorizo in red wine inparticular is exceptional. Visit if you can.

A surprisingly authentic place. I had to resist the urge to throw bones and napkins to the floor. One thing bothered me though; the prices. The prices are inconsistent - why are padron peppers (hot fried in oil and salt) so expensive? Been a few times now and generally been quite impressed.

It makes you feel like at home just from the first steps you make in it. If you think that the spanish food shop is amazing in the main entrance, even much better it is his restaurant at the back. They have the authentic spanish food made with enthusiam and love. You can taste not only the flavours of the great variety of Spanish tapas, bocadillos and main courses, but also the emotios of the Spanish culture. For the nearly an hour that my family and me spent in it, we felt like if we were in our own country, that as other many Spaniards miss when we are far away. Ein Stück Spanien in Wales Wenn man das Ultracomida betritt, ist man zunächst einmal von dem tollen Warenangebot beeindruckt. Es könnte genauso gut in Alicante oder Sevilla angeboten werden! Vom Käsesortiment bis hin zum Wein ist alles erstklassig. Nimmt man dann im hinteren Teil des Geschäftes Platz, um einen Tapas Teller und ein Glas Wein zu genießen, vergisst man völlig, dass man nicht in Spanien ist. Die Atmosphäre ist phänomenal und die angebotenen Speisen sehr gut. Meine absolute Empfehlung. (Translated) A piece of Spain in Wales When you enter the Ultracomida, you are first impressed by the great range of goods. It could just as easily be offered in Alicante or Seville! From the range of cheeses to the wine, everything is top notch. Then, when you sit down at the back of the shop to enjoy a plate of tapas and a glass of wine, you completely forget you're not in Spain. The atmosphere is phenomenal and the food on offer is very good. My absolute recommendation.
