We dined twice in a week at The Victoria Inn and were not disappointed. Good range of beers and decent menu at reasonable prices. Staff were both friendly and efficient. On our second visit a group of local golfers were having a bit of sing song, which was entertaining and accompanied by some of the diners, including ourselves. In summary a hospitable beach side pub with character and a warm welcome. Well worth a visit if you're in that neck of the woods.

It's a pub! Great food, occasionally local musicians get together and drink, then drink and play some tunes. So if you like beer, music and food; you will be fine. Oh yeah, the sun-downer club upstairs is rather good. ***Dont feed or leave your food unattended for seagulls, they are like vultures***

Lovely pub in a perfect location however was left a bit disappointed by the menu, we come and visit every year and found the menu wasn't great this time. The food we had was ok but the quality definitely didn't match the price. Kids were happy though. Biggest issue was the back door constantly being slammed closed. The noise was so loud it was intolerable. The door was the same last year how has this not been fixed!

Visited here for a drink. Beer garden overlooks the beach, and is a stunning setting. If you want to eat book in advance we tried a few times but it was always too busy.

Updating 2022(!) Hooray! The chips, and everything else we ate were grand!Lovely service and great beer. Back up to ten out of ten for the best inn on the sea we know :-) Old... Oct 2019. Sadly the delicious chips have been changed for pretentious oily imitations. The scrumptious fish basket must be from another supplier, cos it aint scrumptious anymore. Horrible batter, and iceland like bits in the middle :-( :-( there is a card machine now, the beer is still good and the view the best for miles, but it is back to the chippie for us. The staff are still amazing ...fix the fish basket and lose those ludicrous chips pleeeze. Older review: Top marks to the Innkeepers :-) This has been our favourite seaside pub for years and recent improvements are a delight. The only food photo is those delicious chips because every other bit was devoured. Great friendly young staff. Might wait a bit for food...but it's worth it. No card machines...

Spent a lovely afternoon at The Victoria Inn. The view is amazing and the welcome was equally as good. The kids loved playing on the beach and it was great that they had this freedom while watched them from our table. We were only able to have drinks and snacks as the kitchen was not open today. However we will be back to try the menu as it looked great, particularly the vegetarian burger. I would definitely recommend this pub😊

Came here after walking from Aberystwyth along the coastal path. Very welcoming and friendly staff. There was a Sunday roast on, offering vegetarian, turkey or beef. The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. They also offer a wide selection of drinks and the bar with reasonable prices. Lovely views of the sea when sitting outside (either upstairs or downstairs). Highly recommended.

Set on the high Street but behind you is the sea and beach. It's a dog friendly pub which is great for us. You can sit on the lower terrace or the upper terrace, which when open has a bar up there as well. We opted to sit inside, and first to be served was our dog with a bowl of water. Staff so friendly. We opted for simple fish and chips but a small portion. Food was good, service good. Price wise, very reasonable at £7.95..Opted for a pint of Stowford cider and the whole lot was just over £20. All in all a nice place to drop in

My local pub and one of my favourite pubs ever, really feel at home there. Lovely staff and service. Great food. Landlady is always working hard to keep interior smart and upgrade and maintain the pub despite getting battered in its seafront location. They do work hard to make everyone feel welcome as alot of tourists frequent pub. Although do have patience If its busy as it's very small hardworking team and alot of foods made fresh.

The great thing about this pub is the amazing sunset view out the back which happens to lead straight onto the beach. However the food was the standard beige, fried offering we came to expect in Wales. Why can't a pub on the seafront offer good fresh seafood? Anyhow, service was middling and some of the lager was off when we visited. Go for the view if nothing else.

Schoolboy error, we sat on the top deck, hoping to enjoy the Mid March sun, but the breeze had other ideas, blowing the head off our ale into each other’s faces, and pushing empty glasses off the table, crashing onto the floor. I knew from the moment my daughter's chicken nuggets kids meal was brought to the table we had stumbled across a gem of a pub. I had a steak, my partner the mushroom stroganoff, my son chicken wings and my mom had the gammon. Came to Borth for a trip down memory lane for the wife and stopped in here for lunch. Quite unassuming from the street but what a beer garden! Tables right on the beach, and a lovely balcony out the back too. a freindly, efficient welcome despite no booking. Food exceeded expectations, with the fish and chips being probably the best pub fish and chips I've ever eaten. Would love to while away an evening on that balcony with a bit of good food watching the sun go down one day.

On a day trip to Borth, we wanted to go for a meal, where we could appreciate the best seaside views, so chose to eat at the front of the top terrace, of the Atlantic Bar, in the Victoria Inn. It was a bit windy, as expected, but we had an excellent meal, with beverages, and a pint of ale, for my Dad, and everything tasted delicious, especially when overlooking the seaside, made an excellent day, even better, and although we may not be returning anytime soon, we can certainly recommend visiting this bar, to others. As the prices were very reasonable, too, with the portions being generous, and the service quick and friendly, it made for a very pleasant overall excellent dining experience.

We went to the Victoria inn on a busy Bank Holiday Monday and had a lovely meal. Staff were very helpful getting us a parasol and water for the dogs. Reasonably priced and great table service which I understand has been a struggle for the owner because of the increased costs of staff and a lack of proper help from the Welsh government. Dog friendly Yaay! We went at lunchtime and though there was only a few choices what we got was really good. Friendly and helpful staff and plenty of room inside and out too. Table service obviously at the moment and hand sanitiser was available. We had burger and chips my wife had the veggie option and we both thought they were very good. Chips were excellent. Always a bonus. I would definitely go back but check the social media cos being where they are right on the beach they close on stormy days at least I think their outdoor area does. If you are traipsing round Borth do go here. It's really good and relaxing.

Usually really friendly in here but went in for a drink on Sun (8/9/19) and asked if we could have a couple bowls of chips to eat outside. The older of the 2 men behind the bar told me they don’t do chips on a Sunday. When I said you maybe losing some custom, he was very condescending & sharp and told me “We’re fine”. Didn’t ask if I wanted anything else. I had to say I wanted more drinks. Not the usual attitude in here sadly.

Ales are hit and miss cloudy and warm with a poor excuse from an uneducated bar person, but when it's good it's good. Very family friendly, best part though is it backs on to the beach. We went here for food, but it took about 20mins to get a drink and the children were hungry, so we couldn't wait - we drank up and left. The balcony and terrace were amazing, the beer good, so on a better day or if you have a hour to wait I am sure it is very good.

The only pub with direct beach access, with seating onto the beach. The food is of high quality. Note that to get a full dining experience often requires booking, despite this food is served outside and in the pub area. The pub has two bars, an upstairs balcony and an outside area onto the beach. Upstairs is also a room set out as a restaurant. On weekends there is often a beach BBQ stall of a higher quality than usually found in such establishments. All in all the place is suitable for all occasions, family friendly while also being high quality and professional.

Cash only for meals and drinks, which I found a little surprising and outdated, especially for larger family parties like ours, you need a lot of cash before visiting. Staff appear genuinely happy to see you and serve you with a smile. public areas are clean and welcoming. food despite being served by smiling happy staff and there being an extremely large portion it was overcooked and greasy meaning that the batter on the fish was dark brown rather than golden brown, rendering the fish inside rubbery and dificult to eat and the batter inedible and giving it the ability to ooze oil onto the plate from the fish polluting all other items on the plate . Shame really as i have said before the front of house staff were great and i was made to feel welcome

If you find yourself uninspired by Borth then stroll along the beach to this welcoming pub and feed your soul. The staff are friendly and cheerful, there's a good choice of ale and they serve a refreshingly thoughtful selection of food, cooked with surprising flair. There's a range of rooms inside, with two cosy saloons downstairs and a smarter dining room with adjoining bar upstairs. On a warm evening you can sit on the decking and watch the sun set over the sea while the kids play on the beach. It's a great all-rounder and is exactly what a pub should be.

They just got a new chef poached from one of Aberystwyth's finest eateries. New top notch bar menu coming soon. Cosy pub with a seating area out the back that gives you a front row seat for the world's greatest sunsets. Beer well kept but could do with mixing up a bit more in this age of craft ales. My favourite pub on the planet .. and after your visit .. i think you will see why .. Fantastic food .. decent sized portions .. reasonably well priced . I wide range of alocholic drinks on tap and in bottles .. Friendly staff .. great atmosphere . And the view from the beer garden is the sea .. infact the beer garden opens up onto the beach . There is also a roof top terrace aswell for even better uninterupted views . The only minus point ... it doesnt take cards .. the reason given .. the card machine struggles to connect ... so its cash only .. Something to bear in mind as the nearest cash machine is quite a walk .. But you can walk along the beach to it .. so even a downside has an upside 😁😁 Definately worth a visit to the Victoria Inn tho .. Everyone i have taken there really do like it .. and they have even taken friends there after ... says it all really .. Enjoy .

Cash only!! There is a cash machine just up the road, but it's a real chore to remember to take plenty of cash especially if ordering food, hence the 3 stars from me. Food ok, quite a wait, but it was busy. Heard at the bar that they'd run out of Pinot Grigio, this was at 6.30pm on a Thurs eve. Sounds like from the conversation with the customer that this wasn't the first time either. View from upstairs outdoor decking is fabulous of course, taking in the full vista of Borth beach, helps you forget any earlier irritants at the bar. Don't forget to like my review 😀

Every year we stay in either Borth or Clarach bay and everytime we have to visit the Victoria inn. To have a pint beer and sitting on the wooden decking watching the sun set should be on everyone's bucket list. Major part why my family and myself keep coming back to Borth. 10/10
