Absolutely amazing find. We’ve been looking for somewhere like this since we arrived (we’re visiting from England and staying near Aberaeron). Very nice, stylish farmhouse style pub/restaurant with very friendly staff. The garden is very cute with a barn style roof. Parts of the pub are dog friendly too. Was quite busy which is nice because most places we’ve been to have been extremely quiet with little atmosphere. This had a great atmosphere. Food was amazing. We had the chicken to start, the seared duck and the steak for mains and the chocolate tart for dessert. Best food we’ve had for a while. Would definitely recommend! Thank you for the lovely evening.

Amazing restaurant, a bit hidden away but definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. We had an fantastic evening here and the food was amazing! The steak was perfectly cooked (1st time on the entire trip to Wales). Teriyaki chicken starter was superb as well. Parking is easy in front of the restaurant. Definitely visiting again when I'm in the area again.

Warm and welcoming (even when we asked to sit outside in the drizzle!). Thank you for our beautiful comforting evening meals, they were just what we needed after a rainy day in Aberystwyth. My partner and I are still currently only trying to eat outside in restaurants so we were over the moon that we could do so here, in amongst the heated twinkly booths. Wonderful spot, beautiful decor inside and out. Super easy to communicate with for booking as I had to make multiple changes. Food is excellent, interesting variety of dishes and high quality ingredients. I had lamb with rosti, super tender and flavourful. Everyone in our party enjoyed their dinner. We were there on a Thurs night and they looked fully booked. You can tell the owner has a real passion for her business which comes through in the overall feel of the place.

Staying very locally we visited this restaurant on a Friday evening at 5.00. We were shown to our table by a delightful young lady who took our drinks orders very quickly. Our party was 3 young girls aged 9,7 and 4 and 3 adults. Although we took a fair time to order (3 young girls!) the waitress was happy to let us take our time. The food came quickly, was beautifully presented (especially the mackerel, citrus salad starter which had been well recommended by the waitress) We all enjoyed every mouthful and if at any time in the future we were near we would certainly return. A bonus to the delicious food was staff who all seemed to be enjoying their job. Thank you all.

Our food at Y Ffarmers was lovely. The lamb steaks were both fill of flavour, and the chef was flexible to our party's dietary preference (no beetroot) and seemingly gave extra potatoes instead which was appreciated. The restaurant felt covid safe with screens and lots of space between tables, and ventilation - if you're a cold bod, bring a jumper. We sat inside but outside looked well decorated with lights and had a great cosy vibe from what we could see. The only thing that let down Y Ffarmers was the waitress, who was probably having a bad day but rather soured the experience. The other tables all seemed to be getting a warmer reception though, so there is hope! A note; if you order a pot of tea, be sure to also ask for milk, any sugars, and the teaspoon upfront, as we found we had to ask individually, for both rounds of tea. A lovely meal, and I imagine in non-covid times this is a thriving locals pub. There's parking opposite and a post box near by, which the bar staff helpfully indicated to us.

The duck was very good, but the vegetables were too hard, with the pommes Daupinoise having no resemblance to a creamy dish, rather dry and as if it were made with much stock. Dessert was nice but, at the end of the day, I expected a good main meal. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

To be fair.. we chose to eat outside ... which we had done before... but this time it was a BIG mistake. Soooo many yappy dogs.. urinating on the grass and setting each other off uncontrollably. We sat in a space that enabled you to sit in.. but not get out without everyone moving. Food was OK... but only specials on the starters which were very quickly told to us by the staff member attending to our table... inattentively as there was so much going on. Past times we have been THRILLED by the surroundings and the food - we come out of our way to eat here... but this time left us feeling dissatisfied in all areas and doubting we will return. As I said.. we maybe should have eaten inside... combine that with no gluten free options left us a bit meh... but I see others having lovely experiences. Maybe an off day?

First class! Found this pub online, when searching for pubs with fireplaces. Booked for Sunday lunch "on-spec", and was not disappointed. Freshly cooked starters were amazing - I had gunpowder chicken with riata, and my wife had pigeon breast with blackberries & wild mushrooms - and we both went for the roast lamb main. Lovely "al-dente" vegetables, unctuous cauliflower cheese, and a rich flavoursome gravy complemented the perfectly succulent and flavourful lamb. And to top it all off, the portions were very well considered. Loved it, will return soon!

Lovely food and generous portions, making it very good value. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Restaurant has recently been refurbished and additional outdoor seating was added for COVID safety. We ate in the outdoor area, which is under cover and heated if required. The location is very nice and peaceful. No separate car park, but there was plenty of road parking close by. We made reservation by email and the replies were prompt and efficient. Thoroughly recommended!

Y Ffarmers finally found us a seat, after not being able to sit us the night before. Pigeon and Squid starters both pleasant, Steak was plentiful, cooked and rested well. Sea-bass cooked perfectly, excellent beetroot pesto. Good desserts. The food itself just lacked a little something to make it really REALLY good. But it’s certainly verging on it. Service and atmosphere were both very good, the pub itself is in a beautiful location and is very nicely decorated it self. Thanks

Good food and great outdoors set-up. Menu is quite different to a normal pub and the plate are very big ( managed starters and main only). Parking is in the village is an issue and perhaps a little bit slow service ( but this is covid related so it's normal). At the end great place to eat, highly recommended.

Excellent service with a warm welcome. There were some new dishes on the menu - FABULOUS calamari starter with chillies and lemon; the pigeon starter with blackberry sauce was delicious. My husband had the curry for his main course, and said it was the best he'd eaten. I had fish and chips - the freshest fish ever, and homemade tartare sauce was excellent. We'd eaten so well, sadly we couldn't manage dessert! The pub garden has been transformed to cope with Covid restrictions, perfect for us on an August lunchtime, but it must look magical in the evening with pretty lights and heaters at each table.

I loved my visit here! I had been trying to visit and dine here for ages and it was well worth the wait (and slightly scary drive!) The food was amazing - I felt like I was dining in a fine dining restaurant. The atmosphere was delightful too. The interior of the restaurant is modern, clean and rustic. The prices were also much lower than I expected - yet another delight about this amazing gem of a restaurant! I would definitely recommend anyone to come here and it is well worth making a reservation, especially if you want to come for Sunday lunch.

Really fantastic food and excellent service. I've been there twice now, both before and after lockdown and really enjoyed it. The covid restrictions in place are great, you feel safe without it intruding on your evening. I also really enjoyed sitting outside this time, and although he didn't join us in the end they were happy to accommodate my friend's puppy. Hopefully they keep outdoor dining as an option moving forward.

Best pub in Wales by far, excellent selection of local real ales, gin and food is to die for. Definitely be going back time and time again. Had the soup of the day last night was the best soup I've ever tasted, followed by the pork with black pudding mash, cabbage and gravy and to finish this delicious meal off I have brownie with cream witch went down a delight. Excellent staff really helpful and great welcome, the owner is also a lovely lady who has clearly put a lot of effort into making this a warm and welcoming pub. Then finished the night off sitting in the beer garden with another one of the real ale selections. As said earlier definitely be going back time and time again.

Nice country village pub/restaurant. Bit out in the sticks but that's the charm . Booked in advance just in case as they do get busy Clean friendly pub with lots of original features. Found the room we ate in bit cold please put the heating on. Food good choice set menu some thing for every one I ordered the lamb which was divine just could do with more vegetables. Personal thing I do like my veg. Roasties were a bit tuff but on the whole dinner was good. Desert sticky pudding which was very nice. Washed down with a great still cider. Others had the beef and a vegetable lasangne which all liked. Staff were all friendly and service was good . Would definitely return as we now know how to find the place.
