I’ve waited ten years TEN YEARS okay ? To try a real English fish&chips. Ended in Ampthill pretty much by luck and drive past the place. First I did not understand as it’s called Anpthill Fish Bar but they advertised kebab and burgers. Still went to the net saw some awful and gorgeous reviews. Well I just got one of the best new of my life. Am no expert in fish&chips just heard how it was supposed to taste from an old Kitchen’s nightmare show. Well it tasted how he described it and how I’ve always wished it tasted. Marvelous. Would recommend 100% (Careful if not from England you might find it odd that they ask if you want “only salt” on your fries because they mean salt and vinegar otherwise ^^

Used this takeaway the other night. We had a mixture of kebabs with chips. The staff were friendly, the service was great, and the food was very tasty. They have a good selection at reasonable prices. I was very happy. I would highly recommend this business!!

Have been going to this place for years and it's just perfect, kebabs are delicious, burgers and everything else! Staff are very, very friendly and they're always busy which is a good sign. Good on them for surviving through the last year too! If you want a classic kebab, these are the boys to go see!

For what I ordered; larger doner, salat in pitta and a portion of chips, I couldn't fault it. Doner was soft, chips fluffy and just a tasty joint. 💯🔥

Use this takeaway on a regular, my kids love it. Quite far from my house but it’s worth the trip as they always look after me. Their kebabs are to die for. Keep it up! Although they are usually very busy In their so be prepared for the wait.

Just moved into the area and found this to be my local chippy. The guy taking the order was very polite. We got got chatting and told him I was new to the area. Great food, called earlier for collection, food ready upon arrival. Only 2 customers allowed in shop at any one time for distancing requirements but space available outside to wait if necessary. Thanks guys for your service.

Lovely chicken kebabs, the donner I’m not keen on at all and tastes a bit like cardboard, staff are nice enough, but prices are a bit too steep.
