This is a strange review for me to back. The service has always been pretty good and the staff are nice, drinks etc. This is just my opinion but I really don't like the food here. I have gone twice and got different things and feel the chips and meal are over seasoned and I just couldn't enjoy it. The last time one of the cookers/fryers was broken so the food took a while and my wings were cold. :( My wife on the other hand loves the food which is why we go back occasionally. Keep up with the service though. Very friendly.

Absolutely brilliant with friends son who has proper allergies. He is allergic to peanuts and they catered for him. Went above and beyond. Good service polite staff big portions and excellent value. Both families will be back

To my knowledge, this is the only American style smokehouse left in Bedfordshire. Thankfully, the food, atmosphere, service and music are all up to the best possible standard. Their cocktail programme is also pretty good, and they make a mean mojito 🍹 If its your first time here, like it was mine on Friday, I'd like to recommend the Big 10 BBQ Tray for 1, it has a bit of the best of everything 😋

Average service, average food. The restaurant is very cramped. I don't know if they are trying to be quirky by using what I think is up-cycled school furniture, I wasn't a fan. The food is served on cheap plastic crockery. The steak in my Philly cheese steak was quite tough and did not taste like it had been seasoned, the three cheese sauce was nice though. I was disappointed to have paid almost £4 for a pint of Coke, which was clearly from the bottom of a large bottle, as it wasn't very fizzy.

We have just had a birthday party there for 14 and i cannot stress how much of a success it was. We have pre ordered and food was prompt and delicious (as always, we are regular customers). What we were very happy to see is that the Big 10 Team properly looked after us. They were very attentive with drink orders and clearing the table regularly. Nothing seemed too much of an ask. All guests were very impressed, for most of them this was their first time in Big 10. I always recommended the place to local friends and family, but it needs a proper shout out now 😀

ITS A BIG 10... Lovely place, with a cute upper loft area that will get hot but is comfortable. Very unique styling like an American 60s, surfer diner... Food is great flavourful and well cooked. I had the brisket 1/2lb which was heavy and filling like all brisket. Generally this type of food is quite fatty, e.g ribs but that's what you're getting. Price is fair, leans towards expensive but not ridiculous. Browse some photos to see it for yourself, well worth a visit, and a triumph if you like cheese.

We love it here! The food and service are always exceptional, and the place itself is so cool with the spiral staircase and the separate little rooms. The toilets are always very clean, as is the rest of the venue. They do my favourite Cornish cyder, Rattler, on draft, which always brings me back here again and again.

Went the other day for the oepn mic ngiht. Not going to lie the place was a little small for an open mic. Only a handfull of musicians but it was a nice atmosphere none the less. All the staff were lovely and welcoming. Did feel a little in the way with the open mic area by the bar as you walk in. But couldn't knock it.

Really quirky venue, loved the posters and paintings. Great service, our waitress was super helpful and friendly. Nice food, huge portions and my Chicken burger was moist and full of flavour. Not silly prices either. If you love meat, then this is the place for you!!

Best beef brisket in the country!!! Can't go wrong with ordering anything here, it's all just delicious, ribs, wings, burgers, and the brisket.....makes me dribble thinking about it. Visited on Wing Wednesday and it was great. Wings were quality, really good chips and it was nice to find the bbq sauce and mac and cheese are both made in house. The mac and cheese was the best I've ever had in a UK restaurant. I'll be back again for sure.

Great service and good food, if you visit you have to try the coronarita cocktail! Big 10 is a huge improvement on the Mexican that used to be in this building. They have completely renovated the building inside and offer a much better dining experience. The bar is well stocked and the bar staff are friendly and know their cocktails.

Good food, drink and burgers. Some unusual combinations in the build your own burger section - including peanut butter and marmite! Kids also enjoyed their sliders. Only downside is it is quite pricey, especially with all the add ons.

Just found this gem of a place whilst walking around Ampthill, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, they made a great mocktail for me even though it's not on the menu and pints are served in proper glass tankards which I love. I had the best beef brisket I've ever tried (should have gone for 1/2lb instead of 1/4lb but thought that would be a bit greedy) with a fabulous supersalad (this is big enough for 2 people if you're having other side's) and amazing sweet potato fries. We were seated upstairs and it's very chilled out, with Reggie music in the background. Love the posters of 80's films and various music poster's. Will definitely be coming back here again!!!

Staff are great always helpful and no pressure. A nice relaxing atmosphere and the food is awesome. A group of us are working in the area and we have made big ten a regular weekly place to eat.

Good place for burger, ribs, wings, pulled pork and sausage. Plenty of sides to pick from. Staff are always friendly, they'll have a chat and laugh with you. We will keep going back. Parking is in the Waitrose car park, just need to cross the road and you're there.
