Reviews of Radhuni Restaurant Bedford

4 of us visited Radhuni on the eve of May 21st ‘22 & we were not disappointed 😃 Wonderful Indian food; long and interesting menu with plenty of choices from various different areas of India. Everyone enjoyed! Unlike a lot of Indian restaurants I’ve visited, where everything seems to end up in a generic orange sauce; the flavours were complex & the ingredients & colours varied. My dish was a beautiful green! The Rezada was amazing. Delicious vegetable side dishes; good quality meats and fish. Huge bottles of Kingfisher beer to wash it down (& a cheeky Rosé). We shared a kulfi for dessert (all being too stuffed for one each) & were treated to a complimentary Baileys to finish. The waiters were charming; especially Ash 😊 & the location was lovely. High ceilings and loads of room. I believe the historic building was a riverside tearoom years ago (I grew up in Bedford). Reincarnated as a high quality Indian restaurant it is a place I’d have no hesitation in returning to on my next visit to Bedford. Thank you very much Radhuni!

Restaurant was quiet when we visited. But great service and the food was really nice, full of flavour and taste. Only criticism was portion sizes were on the small side.

Just had the most incredible lunch, the best I've had in Bedford. The food was sublime, the very best quality ingredients and cooked beautifully. The service was brilliant, the staff were kind and attentive but not hovering! The accessibility was great, the ramp at the entrance was easy to use for the wheelchair user. The only slight difficulty we had was the gravel in the car park which is tough to push a wheelchair on but it was well worth the effort. We will certainly return and recommend.

Nice restaurant with friendly staff, the food tastes very nice and is well presented. I would have rated my evening a five star but my wife and I had drinks served to us that could have been colder, wine and beer should be served chilled. Overall a nice place.

Nice place, for a curry along the river in Bedford, friendly staff, decent prices, good quality food, very nice curries.

The food here is always exceptional. The ambience is nice and the surroundings use and comfortable. The service was excellent too. The only minus for me was the lack of AC or even fans.

Very Average!
My Order - Radhuni Mixed Grill, Saag Bhaji, Naan Bread.
Food Opinion - Mixed grill was pretty small in general. The piece of chicken was dry and frankly one of the smallest chicken legs I've ever seen. Other than that everything was pretty average. Overpriced at £13.95 for the size and quality. Naan was good, as was the saag bhaji.
Restaurant Pros -
- Easy to find and park if you're from out of town.
- It's near the River Ouse.
- Nice cutlery.
Restaurant Cons -
- Menu is nothing you haven't seen before.
- Many dishes on the menus that aren't served anymore were just covered with stickers.
- Soap dispenser in the toilet didn't work.
- Massive puddle on the floor in the toilets around the urinals.
- Tired decor.
- Very warm in the restaurant.
- It was very quiet, but it still took 20+ mins for them to take our order.
General -
- Staff were friendly, but not in uniform.
Summing Up -
Considering the reviews I thought we would be in for a really nice meal. Now, you might think that perhaps I caught them on a bad day, but my feeling was was this was the best they could do.
Would I go back? No. I see absolutely no reason to.

Excellent food, friendly staff, great atmosphere, nice views and really good value for money.
The 5 of us really enjoyed our family birthday celebration lunch. The fresh ingredients made the meal very tasty. There is nothing worse than limp salad... the pomegranate on top of the salad is a great touch.
We will definitely be visiting again.

Outstanding service, my mistake in ordering, rang the restaurant, re ordered, ready in 10 mins, none of this 'sorry sir it's going to be an hour'. One of the very best restaurants you'll ever visit.

Parking at the back for customers and a good place to see, hear and smell the kitchen in full swing as orders are being prepared. Nice welcome and shown to your seats with the offer of having your jackets taken by staff.
Unsual to some, but completely sensible to me, the menu starts with drinks and then towards the back has the food. Now when the first thing you are asked if you want is a drink it makes perfect sense to make sure the customer has browsed that choice already so top marks for user experience there!
A vast selection of food and all very delicious, be careful though if you don't have a sweet tooth, the creamy dishes are very creamy and sweet so if that's not your thing then stick to the more traditional curry dishes with a tomato and onion base.
Although there is a chilli guide my advice as someone who loves chilli is to minus one chilli rating to get the true hotness, my dish said 3 chillies but tasted like only 1, again I'm a chilli lover so my idea of 1 is probably your 2 so that's why I say go down only the one.
Service was great, most other diners were pleasant except this strange woman and her two late twenties or mid thirty year old sons who had a habit of staring around at everyone and making comments.
Clean, big modern venue, nice surroundings and about £30 a head for starter, main and drinks. Very good and would reccomend to anyone living in or visiting Bedford.
