For years now this has been and remains the best chippy I'm Bedford. Friendly and courteous staff, great portions, reasonable prices. The fish used to be skinless but today we got home and found it had skin. Not an issue, but just remember, if you don't like the skin just ask them for a skinless fish. It'll also be cooked fresh too! The chips are lush, crispy & delicious scraps and according to my mother in law "the best mushy peas she's ever had"! Also, who doesn't love a cheeky pre-dinner battered sausage for the journey home. I've never lived close to this chippy but gladly drive across town, past many other chip shops to collect. If you don't go here then either you don't know about it or you have a hankering for substandard chippy food. Get off ya haunches, tide on down to the Tuck and do yourself a favour.

Highly recommend Tasty Tuck, it certainly lives up to its name. Clean premises, friendly staff. Amazing crispy battered fish, (Good homemade curry sauce too!) We're never disappointed, best service, one of the best fish and chip take aways. Very happy customers. :)

We use Tasty Tucks as our 'go to' chippy and can't fault it (apart from the parking which is hardly their fault!!). Food is always hot, very often freshly cooked and prices are brilliant compared to our more local chip shop. Would highly recommend and will continue to use 👍

This is the best chippy in Bedford the staff are lovely and the owner is happy to skin the fish before he batters it if you ask which is fantastic, the chips are beautifully crisp and the fish is the best in Bedford, we had tried many others but thank god we tried tasty tucks a few years ago because we wouldn’t go anyware else now! Fish and chip shop.not a restraunt. If you want a nice piece of fish,come here. Good range of pastries, Burgers are great,and you get a good lot of chips.they do kebabs also. The staff are always cheerfull. Parking can be a pain though. Can get busy at times,if you want something cooking special i,e scampi or burgers best to ask when you go in. Cater for parties/functions pre-book Cold drinks also available
